THE STREET KING

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: The Reaper’s Bloodbath

---

1. A City in Fear

The attack on Do-yun's hideout had sent a message to every gang in Seoul.

Kyung-min wasn't playing by the old rules. He wasn't negotiating. He was eliminating.

And now, Jinwoo had no choice but to fight.

Hye-jin sat across from him in the dimly lit bar, her eyes scanning the newspaper headlines.

"Phoenix Brotherhood Crumbles—New King Rises in Seoul's Underworld."

She scoffed. "They're already calling him a king."

Jinwoo didn't look up from his drink. "Not for long."

Hye-jin exhaled. "We need allies. We can't go after him alone."

Jinwoo swirled the whiskey in his glass. "I know where to start."

Hye-jin raised a brow. "Who?"

Jinwoo's lips curled into a smirk.

"The Ghosts."

2. The Ghosts of Itaewon

The Ghosts weren't a gang.

They were assassins.

Led by a man named Park Ji-hoon, they didn't deal in drugs or territory—they dealt in death.

And Jinwoo had saved Ji-hoon's life once.

The underground club in Itaewon pulsed with deep bass, neon lights flickering over the crowd. Jinwoo and Hye-jin pushed past dancing bodies, heading to the VIP section.

A guard stopped them.

Jinwoo didn't say a word—he simply rolled up his sleeve, revealing an old scar.

The guard's eyes widened. He stepped aside.

Inside, Ji-hoon sat on a leather couch, sipping soju. He barely looked up as Jinwoo approached.

"You should be dead," Ji-hoon said, his voice calm.

Jinwoo smirked. "Not yet."

Ji-hoon exhaled. "And now you want my help?"

"Kyung-min is tearing through the city," Jinwoo said. "If he wins, even you won't be safe."

Ji-hoon studied him for a moment. Then, he leaned forward.

"You want revenge?"

Jinwoo's gaze darkened. "I want war."

Ji-hoon grinned.

"Then let's spill some blood."

3. The First Strike

Kyung-min's men controlled the docks, using them to smuggle in weapons.

That was their first target.

Jinwoo, Hye-jin, and the Ghosts arrived under the cover of night. Rain poured heavily as they crept along the shipping containers, weapons drawn.

The guards were relaxed, smoking and laughing.

They had no idea death was coming.

Jinwoo raised his fist.

Go.

Silencers hissed as bullets tore through the air. The first wave of guards dropped without a sound.

Then, the second wave saw them.

Gunfire erupted.

Jinwoo moved like a shadow, weaving between crates, taking down enemies with brutal efficiency.

Hye-jin covered him from above, sniping targets with precise headshots.

Ji-hoon's assassins melted into the darkness, eliminating enemies before they could react.

In less than five minutes, it was over.

The docks belonged to Jinwoo.

4. A Message to the Reaper

Jinwoo left one survivor.

A battered, bleeding man who once served Kyung-min.

He crouched beside him, gripping his jaw.

"Go to your boss," Jinwoo said, his voice calm.

"Tell him I'm coming."

The man nodded frantically.

Jinwoo released him.

As the survivor staggered away, Ji-hoon chuckled. "You enjoy making enemies, don't you?"

Jinwoo smirked. "Only when I plan to kill them."

---

5. Kyung-min's Rage

When the survivor reached Kyung-min's penthouse, he was barely able to speak.

Kyung-min listened to the report in silence.

Then, without warning, he shot the man in the head.

Blood splattered across the marble floor.

Kyung-min leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers against the armrest.

Jinwoo was back in the game.

A slow smile spread across his lips.

"Good," he murmured.

"I was getting bored."
