Chapter 16: Deathly Hallows

---

Kai Vale looked at the ground in front of him and saw a stone and a branch lying side by side.

However, Kai didn't recognize what they were.

"System, what's wrong with you? The first time I opened a gift pack, I got a laptop and a toy car. The second time, I get... rocks and branches? Are you serious? Are these supposed to be Transformers or something?"

"This system guarantees that the items it provides are useful. However, the host must explore their purpose personally. For example, the laptop required some discovery on your part, but since it was your first gift pack, I offered a hint."

Hearing this, Kai realized these seemingly ordinary objects might actually be valuable.

He stood up, walked forward, and picked up the stone first. It wasn't made of typical material—it had a slight reddish hue, almost crystalline, yet it felt surprisingly light in his hand. Kai turned it over repeatedly, rubbing the surface, but nothing happened.

With no reaction from the resurrection stone, Kai shifted his focus to the branch. The moment he picked it up, he noticed something unusual.

This wasn't just a regular branch. Though it looked like one, one end was sharpened, while the thicker end was polished and shaped for a comfortable grip. The wood gleamed, giving it an oddly refined look.

Curious, Kai held the branch in one hand, standing upright like a martial arts master from old TV dramas. He couldn't resist—his instincts urged him to swing it.

As soon as he did, a bright light flared from the tip. Startled, Kai yelped and tossed the branch away.

For a moment, he just stood there, staring at it. When nothing else happened, he cautiously picked it up again.

This time, Kai deliberately swung it, and sure enough, light flickered from the tip once more.

Excited, Kai began experimenting—testing different angles, stances, and movements. No matter how he moved, the branch glowed with each swing.

But just as he was getting into it, Kai felt something strange. One of his feet wasn't touching the ground. Confused, he glanced down. His left foot was firmly on the floor, but his right foot hovered just a few centimeters above it.

"What the...?"

Kai knelt down and ran his hand across the floor, starting from his left foot and moving slowly to the right. Halfway through, his fingers brushed something soft and fabric-like.

He felt around carefully and grabbed hold of the invisible material. With a tug, the mysterious object revealed itself—a cloak, large enough to drape over his shoulders, yet entirely transparent when seen from the outside.

Kai put it on and stood in front of a mirror. His head was visible, but everything below his neck had vanished.

"This... this can't be…" Kai muttered.

An invisibility cloak. Just like the one from 'Harry Potter'.

"If this is what I think it is..." Kai whispered, turning his gaze back to the branch.

He picked it up again, examining it closely.

"A magic wand... If the cloak's real, then this must be the Elder Wand."

Suddenly remembering the stone, Kai hurried back to the table and grabbed it.

"No way... Don't tell me this is the resurrection Stone," he murmured.

"System, tell me—are these... are these the Deathly Hallows?"

"The host's guess is correct," the system confirmed. "These are indeed the Deathly Hallows from the *Harry Potter* universe—the Elder Wand, the Invisibility Cloak, and the resurrection stone."

Kai's heart pounded.

"Do they... still work like they did in the books?" His voice trembled.

The Resurrection Stone meant immortality—the power to save his loved ones, to protect those closest to him.

His mind went to his grandfather—how he had cared for Kai for so long. The idea of his grandfather aging, growing frail, and eventually leaving him... it was something Kai couldn't accept.

But before he could get too hopeful, the system added:

"These items require the host to explore their abilities independently."

Kai laughed dryly. "Figures..."

Still, the fact that these powerful artifacts were now in his possession left him feeling like he'd hit the jackpot. Whatever challenges lay ahead, at least now he had some serious tools to face them.
