Invincible in the Shadows

"See you at 6:30!" Eve shouted from the distance as Jin turned back. He threw her a thumbs-up before he and Mark walked away. It was 4 in the afternoon, and school finished.

"Are you ready for training?" Jin asked Mark as they walked into an alley. Mark as Jin lifted him into the air from his wrist.

Boom!

The two vanished as they flew home. Mark put on different clothes while Jin equipped his hero suit. Mark came out of his room and looked at Jin in shock.

"You have a superhero suit! Where did you get that?" Mark asked as he examined Jin's suit. It was black and purple, with a cape fluttering behind him.

Jin smirked as he stood there, his arms crossed, while his hair hung freely from the top. His cape fluttered in the wind, a smirk on his face as Mark watched.

"I made it," Jin said with a smirk. Mark clicked his tongue before he shrugged his shoulder. He wanted a suit, but since he can't even fly yet, he will do it after he gets some training.

"Let's go," Jin said as he grabbed Jin and flew out the window. Mark suddenly saw the street become small as they flew above the cloud at a speed higher than the speed of sound.

Boom!

Mark saw the world turn blurred, though he could still see some details as they entered a green grass plain. Jin put him down on the grass, and Mark took a deep breath.

"UGH! Warn me before you do some stuff like that!" Mark said as he rubbed his head. Jin smiled sheepishly and looked away. Mark stood upright and waited for Jin to start his teaching.

"Okay. First. Close your eyes and not think about anything except my voice." Mark nodded as he relaxed. He closed his eyes and then listened to Jin's voice.

"Now, think about having an invisible p[latfrom under you. That platform pushes you higher into the air. As it pushes you, tense your butt cheeks slightly." Mark did that, and he started floating from the ground.

"Now, to stop flying. Try to think of turning your entire body into a smooth flowing water. Think like your body is water and relax your muscles." Mark nodded, and his butt unclenched as he relaxed.

Mark's body started tilting before he landed on the ground. Mark opened his eyes and grinned with a massive smile. Jin smiled as he watched how excited he was.

"Now, I will help you get better at flying. I will hold you from your hands while you try to fly." Mark nodded as Jin got above him to hold his hands. Mark closed his eyes, and he lifted off the ground.

Jin then got higher with Mark and started flying around slowly. Mark thought about an invisible platform pushing him, and he clenched his butt muscles.

Boom!

Mark broke the sound barrier, and Jin smirked while letting go of his hand. Mark, feeling this, opened his eyes and watched in excitement as the ground blurred under him.

"Now try and stop." Mark nodded as he closed his eyes. He thought about turning into water and started slowing down in his flight. A minute later, he landed on the ground shakily.

Above the sky, Nolan watched this with a smile, though that quickly turned cold as he flew away.

"Good, now try to throw a punch at me." Mark looked at Jin and smirked as he clenched his fist. They had many fights as they grew up, whether jokes or serious.

"Don't need to tell me twice!" Mark pulled back, and his fist landed on Jin's chest. Jin dodged to the side and pushed Mark's fist back. Jin was not doing this for nothing.

He was trying to gain CQC skills. Jin knew how to throw a punch from his recent fights, but that did not mean he would not get whooped by someone like Nolan.

Experience is key, but no matter how much experience you have in fighting. You will lose to someone who can fight better and think better than you in a fight.

"Try to get less of a swing in your punch. Twirl your hips as you throw the punch" Jin tried to teach Mark how to throw a punch, and that's all he knew to teach Mark. Mark nodded, and his next punch was much more powerful and faster.

Boom!

A shockwave was created as Jin blocked Mark's punch with no difficulty. Mark and Jin continued sparring for an hour before Jin was about to give up.

In his excitement, Jin punched Mark in his chest, sending him flying and smashing through a dozen trees. Jin opened his eyes wide and flew after Mark.

"Mark! I am sorry, bro! I swear I did not mean hat." Jin said with worry as he saw Mark lying on the ground, clutching his chest in pain.

"Y-you punched me?" Mark said as he looked up with hurt eyes. He was the younger brother, so Jin never hit him with a real punch. Suddenly, being punched by his older brother shocked him.

"Yeah... I am sorry, Mark. I promise I will not hit you like this again." Mark nodded as he sat up. He was rubbing his chest in pain while Jin helped him up.

"It's fine. We were sparing, so I should have been ready to be punched." Mark said as he looked down at the ground. Jin sighed as a smile crept up his face. His palm rested on Mark's head before rubbing his hair.

"Come on, let's go home. Enough training for today." Mark nodded, and he floated up. His flight was much better than at first. His speed was also at a higher level as he followed Jin.

Once home, Jin got into different clothes and ate food before going to Eve's at 6:30. On the way, he practised some new knowledge in CQC.

He got better at throwing punches and throwing feints at CQC level 1. It will become better as he levelled up the skill.

Arriving at Eve's home, he knocked on the door, and a chubby lady with red hair and earrings came to open the door.

!Hello, Ms. Wilkins. I came to study with Eve." Ms. Wilkins smiled before he let Jin inside the house.

"Good to see you, Jin. Eve is just in her room. Let me call her out for you." Ms. Wilkins entered Eve's room, and Eve came out in a few seconds. She walked towards him before dragging him down into the basement.

Jin and Eve entered the basement and turned the light on. The basement was a makeshift lab that Eve created to test her powers.

"So... What is that energy in your body?" Eve asked with a smile as she turned to Jin with a raised brow. Jin froze at her question as she looked at Eve.

"You... Can see that?"

What do you guys think about Eve knowing about Mana? She can manipulate energy and matter, so I think she can sense Mana in Jin's body.

In my opinion, Eve's power is even more busted than Shadow Extraction. She can manipulate matter and energy on the sub-atomic level, after all.
