Chapter 5: Chp:4 Carne Village
A few days later, in one of the Royal Suites.
Seated on the sofa Momonga moved his hands in an Odd fashion. Sometimes swiping exaggeratedly or other times in a slower more calculated motion.
Before him floated a oval shaped mirror with gold and ruby lining it. The mirror didn't reflect anything as a black screen replaced it's otherwise reflective surface.
Suddenly, a view got displayed on the surface as a response to one of Momonga's numerous hand swipes.
'So I need to control my hand movements to the minimum.' With that new observation he extended his hands forward as he slowly opened his hands to zoom in.
The result was the view closing in, as the mirror showed a bird eye view of what seemed to be a village. Houses dotted the area as people seemed to be in a 'hurry'.
"A festival?" Momonga muttered.
"Certainly not my Lord." Sebas, who had been standing quietly beside Momonga spoke.
Zooming further, he saw the clear picture. Villagers, in rugged simple clothes ran frantically everywhere as what seemed to be knights slaughtering them.
As he accidentally zoomed a bit too close towards a face of the father who stalled the knight to let his two daughters escape, he saw his desperate face as the knight cut him down.
"What should we do my Lord?" Sebas voices as he looked intently at Momonga.
"Saving them won't bring much benifits to Nazarick. Leave them be." Lost in thought Momonga uttered.
Although the mirror couldn't transmit voices, he saw the mouth of the father move, his eyes as if directly looking at Momonga through the mirror.
The face, the situation, seemed eerily familiar.
"Hmn?" Turning to look back at Sebas's reaction, he saw a gaze that was very reminisce of his old friend.
'Touch Me-san..' Suddenly, a fragment of memory passed his mind as he remembered his early days. How Touch me and his friends saved him.
"Sebas. Raise the security of Nazarick to the maximum. Deploy the eight edged assassins around the village and inform Albedo to meet me in full armour..."
Momonga stood up as he simultaneously ordered Sebas.
'Should I call him too? His defensive skill is not inferior to Albedo's...' After a quick thought he gave a last order.
"Also call Hyortr."
"Understood. I am to assume that they will meet you where you are going?" Sebas confirmed.
"Yes. [GATE]"
-------
In the woods of Forest of Tob.
The two girls, Enri and Nemu, one older than the other desperately ran as two knights leisurely chased them, as if they were out to hunt prey.
Suddenly, Nemu tripped on a small outgrowth of a root. Seeing them suddenly stop, the knights chuckled as they casually swung the sword towards them.
Enri hugged Nemu who was down to shield her, resulting in a large cut to open up on her back. Sucking up her breath to endure the burning pain she gripped Nemu even tighter in her embrace as they closed their eyes shut.
As the knight was going to end their sufferings, he suddenly halted. Noticing the pain that never came they cautiously looked up to see the two knights dumbfoundedly stare behind them.
Looking in the direction, they saw a purple-black swirling mass. As they were lost in thoughts as to what it was a figure emerged.
First a pointed end to a gold staff striking the dirt, followed by the hand that held the full body of the staff.
The shocking thing was the hands, it was simply a boney counterpart to human hands .
What emerged next made the knights stumble back in fear.
A large skeleton over 2 meters tall, wearing purple black gaudy robes with gold trims. Horn like bone shoulder guard as a red orb floated in his ribcage.
"Hmn, you who kill innocents mercilessly are now fearful when encountering someone more powerful than you?"
The red dots in its eyes gleamed sharply as it spoke.
As the knight who was intent on slaughtering the girls stumbled back once again and was about to flee, he was interrupted by the Skeleton.
[Grasp Heart]
Suddenly clutching his left chest as if ingreat pain he suddenly dropped. No blood, no scream or struggle, simply dead. As if the strings to his being was cut.
"Hmn, if my favourite Grasp Heart didn't work then I planned to retreat and come back better prepared. But it seems it was just a misplaced caution of mine."
The skeleton mused to itself. As if seeing the dead knight as it's research material.
The second knight immediately turned to flee, he was slightly in control of his own body than the other dead one. But it was all for naught.
[Dragon Lightning.]
As the sound of thunder resounded on the area, the knight fell to the ground. His nerves and brain all electrocuted.
[Create Mid Tier Undead: Death Knight]
A mass of black goo appeared the body of the knight as the corpse quickly transformed into a towering 3 meter Death Knight.
"Death Knight, kill everyone who has likes him." The skeleton ordered as the Death Knight roared once as if to acknowledge it's master's command and ran towards the village.
Just then two more figures emerged from the portal. One clearly a female with her curved hips and elevated chest, which was completely covered with obsidian armour along with a horned helmet. She held a large battle axe in her arms.
Next to her stood or rather floated a.. creature? it's green and gold robes fluttering even though there was no wind, it's hands clasped together in an inverted prayer sign.
"I apologise for taking too long my Lord. The preparation took some time." The armoured clad female spoke to the skeleton at she bowed her head.
"You're just in time. Albedo, Hyortr." The skeleton spoke.

Mc Pov.
"So, what should we do with these lower lifeforms?" Albedo asked as she held her halberd, already ready to strike them at Momonga's command.
"For now our enemy is not them but those." Momonga spoke as he pointed at the dead body ahead.
Seeing it, I suddenly had a thought.
'Will my summons require dead bodies to anchor themselves in this world? That is certainly plausible. Maybe I can ask Momonga for research materials later.' I thought to myself.
Afterall, Nigun and his scriptures were not that important in the grand scheme of things. And I am just making them more useful to me and Nazarick.
After explaining who we were to the sisters, with Momonga declaring himself Ainz Ooal Gown, we flew towards the village.
Seeing the Death Knight wreck havoc among the knights in the central square of the village, I almost pitied them.
They were having so much 'fun' killing the helpless and even getting a reward for this simple and easy task, but now out of nowhere, a tall undead starts slaughtering your comrades as you witness the carnage.
Wasn't it pitiable?
'Heh, what am I even thinking of?' I thought to myself.
Did I find this amusing? Was it there sufferings? Or maybe the irony?
Maybe my karmic value was acting up, I didn't even feel a shred of disgust or nausea from the killings. Just indifference and a slight amusement to the situation.
"That is enough Death Knight, You've done well." Momonga or rather Ainz spoke as he revealed ourselves to the people down below.
"Listen well, and let your Bo- Masters know that this village is now under my protection, Ainz Ooal Gown. If you dare to even come here again, death will be an escape to what I will grant you. Now go!"
With that final word the knights scrambled in all directions like headless chickens trying to distance themselves as far away from the village as they could. Their horses on which they came already fled the moment the death knight appeared.

Things went as planned, Ainz mediated our presence here with sweet words and a price for their assistance. He then gathered more intel from the head chief after which we are now here, on the graveyard of the village.
Families or what remained of them knelt and cried before the graves of their dead ones as we stood away from them behind the shade of a tree.
Walking back in the village, Momonga suddenly asked a question when he saw Albedo scoff towards a greeting from one of the villager.
"Albedo, Hyortr. What is your opinion of them?"
"Weak and insufferable, insignificant insects who should all die to save space." Albedo's quick and almost instantaneous reply caught Ainz off guard. Enought for him to take a moment to gather his words.
"What about you, Hyortr."
"As long as they are beneficial and bring their worth on the table, I have no opinions of them. But I hate those who are simply useless, ignorant and dumb, dead weights." I answered.
"I-I see.."
'I must need to make sure I don't appear to slack off on the job!!'
Hyortr's response made Ainz more anxious than Albedo's.
As we walked forward we saw a group of villagers gathered around the chief.
"Is something the matter Chief?" Ainz asked.
"Ah! Lord Ainz..we are sorry to trouble you once again but....it seems that a group of Knights are approaching this village rapidly."
After hesitating a little the chief answered.
"Are they the same we encountered before?" During the info gathering, Ainz learned of the nations around Nazarick, one of them being the Empire whose atire the knights wore.
"No, they are from Re-estize. Warrior Captain Gazef is leading them." The chief corrected.
"Then let's meet them."
