The Abyss Dendro Lector of Nazarick

Chapter 2: Chp:1 The Beginning After the End

In Yggdrasil, there were many prominent Guilds and Groups famous for their Players, Wealth, Gameplay and Skill. But one among the rest Stood out, the Guild Of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Formerly named The Nine's Own Goal, was a guild formed by 41 Heteromorphic Players.

The only rule to join them was simple. Be a working and contributing member of society and a non-humanoid race.

Yggdrasil was a game centred around the Great Mythology of The Norse Religion. A world where there were seven Realms all situated in a Celestial Tree called Yggdrasil itself.

The Game had seen 12 years of Success and Player Enthusiasm, but as time passed on, that fervor got lost in due time, making players loose interest and quit.

-------

It was currently a day before the official Shut Down of the Game, in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, the Base of Ainz Ooal Gown. In the Fourth floor of the Dungeon, a large Lake over 500 meters wide on all side with a depth of a kilometre, lay as a centerpiece of the Underground themed Floor.

The cave like floor dimly lit by various minerals and gems. Along with the certain luminescent Flora, painted an ethereal and mystical nature to the floor.

A large Forest, although not as large or diverse as the one in the Sixth Floor occupies almost the entire eastern half of the floor. Deep within the woods lay a Mayan Themed Temple. Thorned vines intertwined Through the cracks of the walls and floors as peculiar red-pink flowers bloomed on it.

The spores spreading from it seemingly harmless but to an experienced and knowledgeable player, it was a passive AoE that reduces their resistance to Elemental Attacks by 10% and Plant Based Attacks by 20%.

On the top of the pyramidical structure stood two pillars engraved with countless runes that seemed to pulse with a toxic green light. The pillars weren't the only thing glowing, the Green Octagonal Orb floating silently between the pillars emitted the same erry glow.

Deep inside the temple, within a large hall. A large champer supported by tall pillars and thick vines, with an Opened ceiling directly showcasing the Glowing Orb above the Temple, a Stone Throne lay quietly opposite to the entrance.

On it sat a humanoid creature, no, it's shape was the only thing humanoid. The details infact were far from imagination.

Its head seemed to be consisted of a Masked Face with glowing green eyes. Upright shoulder guards with streaks of fabric trailing behind it. A chestplate like armour with a glowing miniature Octagonal Orb in the middle.

It's hands, resting on the armrest was reinforced with armguards and five sets of rings of various designs on its fingers.

His overall body was a mix between various earth green and black and Gold mixed in. His rest of the body without his clothes like neck and arms glowed different shade of green.

Suddenly, the tilted head of this creature Jolted with a start, looking in its surroundings. Confusion, Vigilance and Fear seemed to pass rapidly in its eyes.

"Huh? Where...am I?" It spoke, though there was no mouth to speak it. It's tone, a detached and disdainful one.

"What..why is my voi- my body!?" The creature suddenly looked frantically at its body as it stood up.

Unexpectedly, a green glow emitted from its body as it's movements calmed down. After which it moved back to its seat, clutching it's head.

"Urgh.."

-----

Leon, a twenty years old orphan was what you would describe to be a NEET. Having been orphaned at the age of fifteen, he dropped out of school as he began to work for himself.

Being born in a middle class family meant that there was little inheritance to gain apart from enough savings to last a year. After the incident which made him and orphan, he spent almost half of the money into Comics, Anime Dvds and Bluerays, Mangas and Games.

His two most favourite series was Overlord and Full metal Alchemist. And Game? He most frequently played Genshin impact.

Now, enough about his backstory. Let's ask him what he's doing right now. Well, he's currently trying to absorb the Six and a half years of foreign memories as a Dendro Lector.

Yes, those same Abyssal Mages from the Abyss Order though different. He was a Dendro Oriented Mage. And he was currently in Yggdrasil. Now how does he feel to be in two of his most favourite series?

Relief was all he felt.

After cataloging and seeing the memories from how his creator made him to this point, he realised he was in The Overlord series, a day before the Official end of the game and the beginning of Canon.

He was relieved that he was on the boat with Nazarick. Even imagining if he had been transmigrated in the New World as it's resident sent a shiver down his spine.

"I know some Fics has that plot but I'd rather not experience the horror Nazarick can Unless as it's opponent." Leon muttered. His voice, the same detached and disdainful.

'It will take time to get used to it.' Leon internally sighed out, getting used to all these changes will take time but he assumed it be faster than Momonga's.

"Now...what do I do?" He asked himself as he stood up and walked slowly towards the exit of the chamber.

'According to the memories, I am the official Guardian of the Fourth Floor. With Gargantuan being an Area Guardian. The reasoning of my Creator, who was also an avid fan of Genshin Impact, creating me was that Gargantuan took too much resources and was not very mobile.'

Regardless, I have him to thank for such a great Head start. An Npc of Nazarick and one of the Strongest too. What could one ask for more?

"Hmn.." finally reaching the exit he felt an invisible barrier blocking the path. Reaching out his hands, he pressed against the air as a translucent white wall met his palm.

The resistance was equivalent to the force he provided. Making it impossible to break it.

"Maybe it's because I am still inside the game ...." Leon mused.

He turned back to his throne. But when he reached the throne he felt as if something was amiss. Looking down he saw his feets a few inches off the ground. His feets, pointing towards the ground, showing he was really flying.

Or maybe it was hovering since he was so close to the ground. But this gave him a surprise untill he realised. In his memories as the Abyss Lector, wherever he went he would float towards his destination.

Maybe he was subconsciously thinking that he was walking that he walked, and while thinking of other things his body instinctively floated.

"Amazing.." Leon exhaled a small air of amazement as he floated around the chamber. Sometimes flying upwards or downwards, left or suddenly right. Flying seemed to be like breathing for him.

"It almost feels like I was flying my whole life...well technically yeah.." Leon Chuckled thinking how he easily forgot he was now a Lector. Long gone was the frail human body.

If his estimates was right, he wouldn't require food or the need to rest and his body wouldn't age, meaning he was immortal. Oh what a life one would give for.

The day passed as Leon, now an Abyss Lector tested his powers and abilities in the confines of the Chamber of the Temple.

Meanwhile, in the 9th Floor, A Skeleton Mage dressed in a Gaudy Robe clicked a seemingly translucent blue screen before it. It's boney fingers pointed at the 'Send to All' box.

The message: Hey Guys Let's Meet Up for the Last Time 😃✋

A small sigh escaped it's boney mouth as its head tilted downwards.
