My years as a superhero in Marvel

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: The Secret Base of Night Walker

"Sorry, I seem to be late." Peter climbed up the 15-story old building and found that Jason, dressed as a night walker, had been waiting for him on the roof.

Peter was still wearing that ridiculous outfit. A black long-sleeved shirt with jeans and basketball shoes. Plus that funny red mask and big sunglasses.

"I always thought it was a mistake that superheroes like to wear tights." Jason was complaining crazily in his heart. "But when I saw Peter's outfit, I realized that tights are so cool!"

If I were to describe Peter's look in one word, it would be - LOW. If I were to describe it in two words, it would be - too LOW. If I had to describe it in three words, it would be - extremely too LOW!

This is definitely the worst superhero look ever in Jason's opinion. Although he was complaining madly in his heart, Jason still pretended to be calm on the surface.

"Fortunately, we were only five minutes late." Jason said in a hoarse voice using ventriloquism.

"If possible, I think you'd better change your clothes next time. The taste of this outfit is really... really unique."

In fact, Jason wanted to say that it was extremely LOW, but after thinking about it and in order to maintain his own image, he chose a more tactful tone.

"You don't like it?" Peter began to talk.

"Hey~ Actually I don't like it either. You know, this mask is not very breathable and it will fade. Every time I sweat, my face will be stained red. My aunt always thinks I was beaten up outside."

"What do you think about me changing into the same outfit as you? The gray hoodie is pretty good, but can you tell me how you make it so that no one can see your face? I promise I won't tell anyone." Peter's mouth was like an assault rifle with the rapid-fire function turned on, and it couldn't stop until the bullets were used up.

"Enough! If you don't want me to throw you out of here, you'd better shut up." Jason felt like there were hundreds of flies flying around his ears.

We already knew that Peter Parker was a chatterbox, but we didn't expect that after becoming Spider-Man, Peter Parker's chatterbox attribute would increase exponentially.

"Okay, Nightcrawler. I'll shut up if you don't like it." Peter said and covered his mouth with both hands.

"Let me tell you, this outfit really looks good on you." Peter said again, secretly taking his hands away from his mouth, and then immediately covered his mouth again.

This mission is a trap!

Can we still have fun with the system? Jason's eyes were filled with tears, and he asked the heavens in silence.

"Follow me, I'll take you to a place." Jason calmed down. He was afraid that if he didn't leave, he would have the urge to hit the little spider.

After saying that, Jason immediately leaped from the edge of the 15th floor. Using the "Eight Steps to Chase the Cicada" skill, Jason poured his internal force into his legs the moment he jumped to the top of the building. His legs exploded, allowing Jason to directly leap more than 30 meters into the air.

Jason jumped directly to the top of the opposite building, as if he was taking a walk. "Cool~ man." Peter exclaimed, and then he also jumped again without admitting defeat.

Jason has actually slowed down his speed as he moved along, after all, Peter Parker doesn't have the ability to spit spider silk yet. If he runs too fast, he might not be able to keep up.

As Jason deliberately slowed down, Peter reluctantly followed behind Jason. As I said before, genetic mutation is a job that takes time, and Peter's current physical fitness is far from reaching the peak of Spider-Man.

The place where Jason was going to take Peter was a secret base that he had prepared. It was only since the last time that the Punisher Frank Castle took Jason to his temporary residence.

Jason has always wanted to have a secret hiding place for himself, just like Frank. After all, he will have more and more secrets in the future, and it is not convenient to keep everything at home.

Especially if he gets hurt, he needs a secret place to treat himself and bandage himself, without being discovered by his family. He chooses to strengthen himself through the system in order to protect his family, not to make them worry.

During the summer vacation, Jason had been looking for a suitable place, and a few days ago he found the place he was going to: an abandoned air-raid shelter on the bank of the Hudson River.

There are no residents living here, and the few places where people are active are all warehouses far away from here. The air-raid shelter is also very secretive, at the exit of a section of the sewer. It can be said that it is difficult to find this place without searching.

Jason has been very busy these days. He has to drive a fast food truck at noon, and after visiting Peter in the afternoon, he will come here to set up the secret base. At night, he also has to keep an eye on Spider-Man to prevent him from going astray.

Now he doesn't need to keep an eye on Spider-Man at night because Spider-Man teams up with him directly.

The perfect level of "Internal Energy" allows the internal energy to circulate endlessly, and one will not feel tired at all even if running at a high speed for more than 20 kilometers.

Peter had been following Jason, but his physical strength was not enough now. As soon as he arrived at the place, he was so tired that he bent over and gasped.

After Peter's breathing evened out, Jason patted Peter on the shoulder. "Follow me, don't get lost," Jason said.

Taking Peter into the sewers near the Hudson River and making many detours, they finally arrived at the destination of this trip. Jason now prepared to use it as an air-raid shelter for the secret base.

Jason replaced the iron chain outside the air-raid shelter door with a new iron chain and padlock.

Jason had already cleaned the inside of the air-raid shelter and found some wooden planks and stakes nearby to use as simple tables, chairs and benches. There was a diesel generator inside the air-raid shelter that could provide stable electricity.

Jason also installed a rechargeable LED light in the cave as a light source. A huge map of New York was hung on the wall of the cave. There were many places marked by Jason on the map, and Jason suspected that these places were trading points for the Stanich family's underground business.

There was also a laptop in the cave, and Jason bought a bearer wireless Internet port and a signal amplifier. One end of the signal amplifier was connected to an open area with signal outside, and the other end was connected to the cave.

Jason also learned from Frank's practice and placed some first aid supplies, food and clothes in the base. These seemingly simple arrangements cost Jason several thousand dollars. He had already spent more than half of the money he earned these days.

"Wow! Man, is this your secret base?" Peter came into the air-raid shelter and exclaimed in amazement.

"Dude, you're so cool! What are these marks on the map? Are they the addresses of the criminals you marked?"

Peter still remained a chatterbox and started chattering as soon as he came in.

"I'm really touched that you trust me so much. You brought me to your secret base the second time we met." Peter said.

Jason is certainly not a person who easily trusts strangers, but he knows that the person under this ridiculous mask is Peter Parker, and Jason still has great trust in Peter's character.

"Next, this is a three-proof phone." Jason took out the three-proof phone that he had prepared long ago from a box.

"There is an anonymous phone card inside, which can be used directly. The phone is waterproof and shockproof, and there is also a radio communication function between two phones."

The two rugged phones Jason bought were high-end products, costing more than $600 each. They were more expensive than many flagship smartphones from big brands. "If we have any questions in the future, we can use this phone to contact you. My phone number has been saved in your phone."

"Wow~ Professional! Brother Nightcrawler, you are really professional!" Peter said while playing with the rugged phone.

"When are we going to start cleaning up those criminals in New York! I can't wait!"

"There's no rush for that." Jason said slowly. "Do you know the Stanich family? This family is one of the top mafia families in the United States, and they do a lot of illegal business in New York."

"My current goal is to crack down on the illegal business of the Stanich family and put these bastards to rest first. And we need to understand this family first. How good are your computer skills? Can you find some special information?" Jason asked, pointing to the laptop computer next to him.

"Of course, this is not difficult for me." Peter understood the meaning of some special information in Jason's words. Spider-Man in the original story had always relied on monitoring the police radio and secretly hacking into the government's website to obtain intelligence on criminals. So Peter actually had no objection to doing this kind of thing.

"There is one more thing, if possible. I think you'd better change your clothes before the real action." Jason really couldn't stand that ridiculous toy mask!

The New York docks were quiet in the dark night. All the cargo ships that needed to be loaded and unloaded today had already been loaded and unloaded. The workers at the docks had already gone home to rest. Only a few security guards were left patrolling in the middle of the night.

But today it seemed that someone had greeted the security guards, and they returned to the lounge early before the end of their get off work day and stopped patrolling.

A speedboat came through the waves in the dark night, and its destination was the No. 9 dock in the dock area. The person waiting for the other party to arrive next to the dock was Hank from the Stanich family.

The speedboat approached the shore, and two men and one woman got off: a bald black man, a beautiful woman with long chestnut hair, and another person who was wrapped in a coat and difficult to see clearly.

"On behalf of Mr. Franco Stanitch, I welcome you all." Hank looked a little nervous, but still stepped forward to welcome the visitors.

"Well, we're not here to travel in New York, so you don't need to welcome us." The black man said unceremoniously. "Is the information ready? Who do you want us to deal with?"

Hank signaled to the younger brother next to him to bring a tablet computer and handed it to the burly black man.

"Tsk~ two minions." The black man looked at the information on the tablet and said disdainfully. "We just killed a failed experiment of Stryker."

"Leave these two guys to us! Remember to transfer the remaining amount to our bank account on time!" the black man said impatiently. "Have you prepared a place to rest? I want to take a shower and have a good sleep!"

The reinforcements that the Stanitch family called in to deal with Night Walker and Punisher finally arrived.
