My White and Rich Beautiful CEO Wife

Chapter 422: Where is your group leader?

```
"Hmm, keep in touch by phone!"
Lu Wenrou made a phone-calling gesture.
After Qin Yu drove away, the old man popped up from nowhere again, chuckling, "Girl, our new team leader is quite unconventional, huh!"
"Oh, Uncle Trickster, you've noticed?"
Lu Wenrou arched an eyebrow.
"Haha, my business is all about deceiving people; how many out there can really pull one over on me?"
The old man boasted with a proud laugh.
"That's true!"
Lu Wenrou deeply agreed.
"Creak..."
At that moment, a line of black SUVs drove up.
The first to emerge were about a dozen tall young men dressed in Zhongshan suits, followed by the opening of the middle vehicle's door, revealing a pair of long legs tightly encased in leather pants.
"People from Division Seven, always so keen on putting on a show!"
The old man muttered disdainfully under his breath.
"We represent the dignity of the nation. Why shouldn't we put on a show?"
Han Bing was a Half-Step Baodan expert with very sharp hearing.
She glanced at the old man indifferently and spoke expressionlessly.
"Ah, after such an early morning drive, I need my catching-up-on-sleep nap!"
Exaggerating his expression, the old man grabbed his forehead and turned to leave, showing not an ounce of respect for team leader Han Bing.
"Hmm..."
Han Bing's face showed a hint of displeasure.
"Team leader Han, please!"
Lu Wenrou, however, made an inviting gesture.
Han Bing straightened her tiny leather jacket and strode into the courtyard with her ponytail swaying.
She glanced at the empty courtyard, frowning, "Where are your Special Action Team members? Not out of bed yet? Are they all this slothful?"
"Uh... since our group is called the Special Action Team, these members are all quite unique in personality,"
Lu Wenrou said a bit awkwardly.
Forget the old trickster; even Tank and Scholar had disappeared by now. They were probably locked inside, too busy with their own things, and had no intention of coming out to meet Han Bing.
"Hmph... What about your team leader?"
Han Bing's face grew even colder and more dissatisfied.
"He... is busy with something. When it's time for him to step in, he will naturally appear."
Seeing Han Bing's face turning ugly, Lu Wenrou could only shrug.
"Fine, since everyone in your team loves their own significance so much, I won't disturb any longer. Call me when you need our help."
Han Bing left those annoyed words behind, carrying a cold breeze as she exited.
"Sigh..."
Lu Wenrou sighed. They hadn't even started cooperating and had already managed to offend her.
Ring ring...
Just then, her phone began to ring.
"Hello?"
Lu Wenrou saw it was an unfamiliar number, but she answered the call anyway.
"Hello, is this Team Leader Lu? I'm the director of the orphanage. Last night, five or six children went missing here. Can you help us find them?"
The voice of a woman came from the other end of the line.
"How... did you get my number?"
Lu Wenrou thought for a moment before asking.
"An old police officer told me. He said you handle special cases. There have been several instances of orphans losing their organs, Team Leader Lu, you must help us!"
The woman sounded very anxious on the phone.
"Okay, give me the address, I'll be right over!"
Lu Wenrou set aside her doubts; indeed, some older police officers had her number.
After hanging up the phone, she shouted into the house, "Tank, come out with me!"
"Alright!"
The towering Tank squeezed his way out of the house.
Together with Lu Wenrou, they got into the SUV and headed towards the orphanage in the suburbs.
An hour later.
They got out of the car, and in front of them appeared a small building from the seventies or eighties.
```

A plainly dressed middle-aged woman paced back and forth at the doorway.

"Hello, did you call me?"

Lu Wenrou walked over and asked.

"Are you... Team Leader Lu, so young."

The middle-aged woman sized up Lu Wenrou for a few moments before hurriedly saying, "Then I'll trouble you, you must help me find these children!"

"Okay, does your orphanage have surveillance?"

Lu Wenrou nodded and inquired.

"Yes, come with me!"

The middle-aged woman led Lu Wenrou and Tank into her office, where there was a computer with surveillance footage playing.

After sitting down, Lu Wenrou started to rewind the surveillance footage. She quickly locked onto an unlicensed van parked at the orphanage's back door. Several brawny men with their faces covered sneaked inside, and soon after, emerged carrying several unconscious children under their arms into the van.

"This is outrageous!"

Lu Wenrou slammed her hand on the table in anger and then dialed Scholar's number, "Time to get to work. Look up a van without a license plate parked at the orphanage in the suburbs yesterday around 2 AM, find where it went."

"Okay, give me twenty minutes!"

Scholar responded.

"Ah, I appreciate your hard work. Here, have some water!"

The middle-aged woman poured two cups of warm water for Lu Wenrou and Tank.

"Just wait patiently, our people have started looking into it!"

Lu Wenrou took the cup of water and comforted the middle-aged woman.

"Mhm, thank you all!"

The middle-aged woman said with reddened eyes.

About ten minutes later, Lu Wenrou's phone rang.

"Did you find it, Scholar?"

Lu Wenrou hastily asked as she answered the phone.

"Found it. The van drove to a junkyard in the suburbs and has been sitting there. No one has come out."

Scholar said.

"Good, send me the location!"

After receiving the location from Scholar, Lu Wenrou waved her arm, "Tank, let's go, time to save them!"

"Um, Team Leader Lu, aren't you going to call your friend? Just the two of us?"

Tank scratched his head and asked.

"I've seen the surveillance. They're just a few burly ordinary men; no need to make a big deal out of it!"

Lu Wenrou said with a serious tone.

"Alright then!"

Tank didn't say anything more.

"Wait a moment, Team Leader Lu, take this with you. It's the children's clothes. They were taken away last night wearing such little clothing. I'm worried they might be cold!"

The middle-aged woman turned around, took a black plastic bag, and handed it to Lu Wenrou.

"Okay, once the people are rescued, I'll bring it over!"

Lu Wenrou carried the black plastic bag and left the orphanage with Tank.

After getting into the SUV, they sped off toward the location of the junkyard indicated on the map.

Before long...

The two parked their car at the entrance of the junkyard.

"Me in front, you behind!"

Lu Wenrou pulled out her issued gun from the small of her back, chambered a round. Having learned from yesterday's experience in the alleyway, she thought it was best to be cautious.

"Alright, I'm heading over!"

Tank got out of the car, crouched down, and quickly made his way to the back gate following the perimeter wall.

When he heard a loud 'thud' from the front as the door was kicked open, he too charged forward, smashing the backyard's wooden gate to smithereens.

"Wuu wuu... help!"

"Save us!"

Several children, wearing only shorts and T-shirts, their faces already turned purplish from the cold, were tied up and crouched in a corner of the yard.

Seeing Lu Wenrou and Tank enter, they all started to shout out, one after another.

"Don't be afraid, everyone, put on your clothes first."

Lu Wenrou remembered the bag the middle-aged woman gave her. She went back to the car, retrieved it, and just as she opened it, she was stunned.

Because in the bag, apart from a piece of clothing on top, there were stacks of cash underneath.

What does this mean?
