Chapter 69: Chapter 69 : Kamar Taj

-----

Finn locked the door tightly with a wave of his hand. A massive chair materialized in front of him—its imposing frame depicting Veyron, the embodiment of power and darkness. The mere sight of it could send shivers down anyone's spine.

He sank into the throne, fingers tapping idly on the armrest.

"Not yet..."

He glanced at the time.

Only a minute had passed since T-1000 was notified.

Earlier, his network had tracked T-1000's location to **Hawaii**. It seemed that even with magic enhancements, the **Shadow Corps'** mobility was not as refined as **Kamar-Taj's dimensional gateways**.

A true master of the Mystic Arts could travel anywhere with a single thought.

That technique—**the Sling Ring portal**—was a creation of the ancient entity known as **Vishanti**, forged by three powerful cosmic beings. It was naturally among the most formidable transportation spells in existence.

Still, **Finn's Shadow Corps** had its own unique edge. They could traverse the world by melding into shadows—an ability that, if exposed, would send governments worldwide into a panic.

After all, from medieval warfare to modern military strategy, **transportation and logistics** had always determined the outcome of wars.

A force capable of instant deployment, unrestricted by geography, could dominate any battlefield.

The **Shadow Corps** was that force.

Even Finn himself had lost count of their numbers.

Just as he pondered this, the air in the study **rippled like liquid shadow**.

A dark mist gathered, shifting and swirling before several figures emerged from the void.

T-1000 stepped forward.

"Boss, we've brought him."

A man was dragged forward, his head covered by a black blindfold. His body trembled, bare feet scraping against the cold floor as he was forced into a kneeling position.

It was Wilhelm, the man responsible for spreading Mysterio's final deception.

His breath was erratic, his fear palpable.

Beside T-1000 stood 2B, the edge of her floating longsword reflecting the dim light of the room.

She stared down at Wilhelm, her grip tightening as if awaiting Finn's order to strike.

"Finn, what do we do with him?"

Her tone was cold.

Wilhelm, still kneeling, frantically shook his head.

"N-No! Please—don't kill me! We can talk! We can talk!"

His voice cracked with desperation.

Finn remained silent for a moment before speaking, his voice calm yet ice-cold.

"Do you know what you did wrong?"

A sudden chill*filled the air, as if the temperature in the room had dropped several degrees.

Wilhelm gulped. "I... I don't know! Your men didn't say anything! They just took me!"

His voice was hoarse with panic.

Only an hour ago, he had been in Hawaii—living a life of luxury, surrounded by women, celebrating his so-called success

Then, without warning, a **group of masked figures** appeared, grabbed him off the street, and now... here he was.

Finn leaned forward slightly.

"Do you know the name Quentin Beck?"

Wilhelm stiffened

He forced a neutral expression, **playing dumb**.

"Of course I do. The great Mysterio. An immortal superhero! But I don't know him personally."

There was **pride** in his voice—an arrogance that suggested he saw himself as part of Mysterio's legacy

Finn shook his head. "Lies."

He had intended to give Wilhelm a clean exit.

After all, the man was just a **pawn**. **A nobody**. Torturing him was unnecessary.

But Wilhelm chose to lie.

How foolish.

"What do you mean?"Wilhelm stammered, suddenly uneasy.

Finn stood, his gaze piercing.

"Quentin Beck was an engineer at Stark Industries. The director of the B.A.R.F. project."

Wilhelm froze

Finn continued, his tone emotionless.

"It was a revolutionary holographic technology. Originally designed for therapeutic simulation. But Beck... he saw it as something greater. He wanted the world to recognize his genius. When Tony Stark dismissed it, Beck felt slighted. So he left, gathering a team of former Stark engineers, all disgruntled employees like himself."

Finn's fingers curled against the throne.

"After Tony Stark's death, Beck saw an opportunity. He used the world's ignorance to craft a false identity—**Mysterio**, an all-powerful hero. He manipulated Elemental illusions, faking battles, staging disasters, all to deceive the world. And at the peak of his illusion—he framed Spider-Man for his own murder."

Wilhelm's lips parted, but no words came out.

Finn **smirked**.

"And you? You played your part perfectly. You leaked that doctored video. You ensured the world would see Spider-Man as a murderer. You cemented Mysterio's fabricated legacy."

Wilhelm's breathing became erratic. "I—I don't know what you're talking about—"

"Enough."

Finn's voice turned sharp.

"I know what you're trying to do. You think that by pushing this lie, you can enshrine Mysterio's name in history. That anyone can be a hero if they manipulate the system enough. But the moment you endangered innocent lives—you proved yourself unworthy of that title."

Wilhelm clenched his fists. "I was just—"

Finn cut him off.

"Take him away."

T-1000 grabbed Wilhelm by the collar.

"Wait! No—please! I'll confess everything! I'll tell you whatever you want!"

Finn's expression didn't change

**"It's too late."**

Wilhelm's struggles grew frantic. "You can't hand me over to S.H.I.E.L.D! Please! Nick Fury will—"

Finn's gaze darkened.

"That's exactly where you're going."

Wilhelm's **screams** echoed through the room as he was **dragged into the shadows**, vanishing completely.

For a moment, silence hung in the air.

Then—a faint wisp of black mist rose from Wilhelm's former spot.

It coiled, shifting, morphing—until it **took on Wilhelm's exact form**.

A **perfect spiritual clone**.

Finn watched as his own **soul projection** stabilized, an exact replica of Wilhelm standing before him.

A technique of **soul separation**.

His true body **couldn't leave just yet**. There were restrictions—he had to remain in his designated hideout for **seven days** before making another physical move.

But through this method...

His **spirit** could go anywhere.

**And his next destination?**

**Kamar-Taj.**

New York's **Sanctum Sanctorum**.

Finn exhaled slowly, his eyes glowing with shadowed power.

Nick Fury would deal with Wilhelm.

But Doctor Strange...

Finn would be paying him a visit personally.
