Kushina Uzumaki The Sage Of The Yuri Path

Chapter 52: The Uchiha’s Last Days

The Uchiha Compound lay under a heavy veil of tension, a simmering storm waiting to break. The village was quiet, but it was the kind of silence that felt unnatural—forced. Konoha's ANBU had been watching the Uchiha for weeks now, their presence lingering in the shadows, barely visible but never absent.

Mikoto Uchiha knew what this meant.

It meant time was running out.

She strode through the compound with purpose, her long black hair flowing behind her, her Sharingan quietly spinning in her irises. The air felt heavier tonight, as if the village itself was holding its breath, waiting for the inevitable.

Her destination was clear.

When she entered the main hall of their household, she found Fugaku standing alone, facing the large window that overlooked the heart of the Uchiha district. He didn't turn to acknowledge her, but she knew that he had sensed her arrival.

For a long moment, neither of them spoke.

Then, Fugaku exhaled. "The elders are finalizing their plans," he said, his voice even, but the grip on his arms tighter than usual. "The coup will begin soon."

Mikoto didn't answer immediately. Instead, she walked further into the room, stopping only when she was just a few feet behind him. She let the silence stretch, let him feel the weight of the moment before she finally said, "You should leave."

Fugaku's body stiffened, his head turning slightly. "What did you say?"

Mikoto's expression remained calm, but there was a fierce determination burning in her gaze. "You should leave Konoha."

Fugaku turned fully now, his dark eyes narrowing. "Not with you?"

"No."

The way his lips pressed together tightly told her that answer had unsettled him.

"You expect me to abandon my clan?" he asked, voice sharp. "My duty?"

Mikoto studied him for a long moment. Then she sighed. "You and I both know this clan has no future."

Fugaku's fists curled slightly, but he didn't lash out. "We still have a chance to—"

"No," Mikoto said firmly, cutting him off. "We don't."

Her Sharingan flickered, and for a brief second, she saw it again—the vision that had been haunting her for weeks.

Blood.

Fire.

Her sons standing over the ruins of their people.

The Uchiha would fall.

And it would be at the hands of their own blood.

She swallowed, shaking the image from her mind.

"This place is already dead," she said softly, looking directly at Fugaku. "And if you were smart, you'd leave before you get buried with it."

Fugaku's shoulders tensed further, his controlled facade beginning to crack. "And what about our children?" he asked, voice quieter.

Mikoto's lips curled into a small, almost knowing smirk. "You should worry more about what Sasuke will become, rather than where he will be."

Something in Fugaku's expression shifted, his gaze darkening. "What do you mean by that?"

Mikoto took a step forward, her smirk growing colder.

"I mean," she said, "I am leaving, Fugaku. And I am never coming back. I have my own life now. My own people. I refuse to be shackled to this clan or to you any longer."

The room felt unnaturally still.

Fugaku stared at her, his face unreadable, but his hands had started shaking.

"What…?"

Mikoto tilted her head slightly, watching him with mild amusement. She had never seen him this unsettled before.

"I was forced to marry you, Fugaku," she said, her voice like steel. "Don't overestimate your value. You were never that great of a man or a husband to begin with."

Fugaku's entire body tensed, his face paling slightly.

Before he could even process her words, she kept going, delivering the final, crushing blow.

"And as for a father?" Mikoto's gaze softened—not with affection, but with something dangerously close to pity. "Well… I don't think the future will remember you too kindly after what our kids will do soon enough."

Fugaku flinched, his jaw clenching as though she had physically struck him.

For the first time in years, he looked genuinely speechless.

Then, from the hallway, a small, confused voice spoke up.

"What's the Free Love Revolution?"

Both adults turned sharply to the doorway, where Sasuke stood, frowning. His tiny arms were crossed, his expression a perfect mixture of confusion and suspicion.

Mikoto's smirk returned instantly.

"You'll understand when you're older, Sasuke," she said lightly, as if this were an everyday conversation.

Fugaku, still reeling from what had just been said, whipped toward his son. "You shouldn't be listening to this—"

Mikoto was already walking away.

Fugaku's composure finally shattered.

"Mikoto, get back here! You will not disgrace me like this!"

She didn't stop. Didn't even look back.

"I already have."

Itachi sat in the darkness of his room, the flickering candle beside him barely illuminating the turmoil in his eyes.

Shisui was dead. His father was preparing for war. The village elders were pushing him toward an impossible choice.

And Danzo… Danzo had already made his move.

He clenched his fists, the weight of the massacre that hadn't yet happened pressing down on him like a curse.

There was no escape.

Not for him.

From the rooftops outside the Uchiha compound, Raven Kamizuki watched.

Yuumi yawned beside her. "So, what do you think? They finally crumbling?"

Raven didn't answer right away. She observed the movement below, the tension that hung over the compound like a storm cloud about to burst.

"They're past the point of no return," she murmured. "It's only a matter of time now."

Yuumi flicked her tail lazily. "So? You planning to get involved?"

Raven's violet Rinnegan gleamed. "Only at the right moment."

Yuumi smirked. "Mikoto's finally all-in, huh?"

Raven's lips curled slightly. "I knew she would be."

The night stretched on, and the Uchiha Clan moved one step closer to its destruction.

And Raven?

She was waiting.

When the flames rose, she would be there to collect what was left.
