Invincible in the Shadows

[3 days later...]

"Mark, meet Art Rosenbaum. He makes superhero Suits." Nolan said as he pointed at Art. Mark smiled as he greeted him, his eyes shining as he looked around the place.

"Nice to finally meet the son of Nolan. I am Art Rosenbaum," Art said with a smile as he put his hand out for a shake. Mark smiled awkwardly, shaking Art's hand.

"So, what kind of suit do you want?" Art asked as he showed the suits resting inside a window. Mark looked around to see if he liked anything, but he did not.

"I have one in mind," Mark said as he remembered Jin's suit. Mark explained it to Art, and Art smiled as he started drawing the suit design to the best of his abilities.

A few minutes later, Art finished drawing the suit, and Mark smirked as he looked at the drawing. It was just like Jin's, except for the cape and the colours.

It was yellow and blue, like his original suit. 

"Yes. This is the one!" Mark exclaimed with a massive smile.

[Meanwhile...]

Boom!

"is that all you can do?" Jin asked with a bored face as he caught a missile in his hand and smashed it against his chest. The villain watched with horror as Jin walked out of the blast unharmed.

"Jin, don't scare him to death. He needs to go to jail." Eve said with a teasing remark as she floated above Jin. The villain trembled in fear before shooting his gun at Eve.

Bang!

Bang!

"Why did he attack me out of nowhere?" Eve said with a raised brow as the bullets turned into the air in front of her. Jin sighed as he disappeared in a purple flash.

Bang!

The villain dropped to the ground as Jin knocked him out, and the injured civilians around them were relieved as they watched.

"Don't worry, everyone! Ambulances will arrive shortly." Jin said as he started floating. The people nodded as they tended to the wounds they sustained before Jin arrived.

"Let's go," Jin said as he flew away. Eve followed him with a smile. They turned into a blur as their speed increased.

"So, how does your first mission with me feel like?" Eve asked with a smile as she caught up to Jin. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him.

"It feels more fun," Jin replied with a smirk. Eve and him have been inseparable for the last 3 days, except for eating, sleeping and showering.

The two studied and talked about things like they had known each other for years. Today was the first time that Jin and Eve worked together on a mission.

"I am glad you like it. You want to keep doing this?" Eve asked as she turned on her back. Jin smirked as he spun around the air, forcing Eve to dodge.

"Definitely!" How could Jin say no since Eve is asking him? Besides, he likes spending time with her.

He does not want to say it, but spending time with normal humans or weaker beings makes Jin extremely bored of how stale it is. He does not discriminate against normal humans, but ...

Only a mentally challenged person or an overly good person. He would not sacrifice his own life to save another. Jin is not the kind of person to do that.

Spider-Man can have his role.

"Jin. I talked with the Teen Team. I recommended you to join the team," Eve suddenly said as she flew to his side. Jin looked surprised before he smiled.

"What did they say?" Jin asked without worry in his tone. He does not care about joining the team, but if he could be with Eve, he would not mind since he could protect her.

"They want to meet you in the afternoon," Eve said. Jin nodded his head with a smile.

"Are you free to meet them?" Eve asked, waiting for his response with hope. She wanted him to join the team. Jin turned to Eve with a smirk.

"What do you think?" For the last few days, Jin has not done anything other than go to school and do some Hero work, stopping robberies and villains like today.

Jin's popularity increased massively. Taking this opportunity, Jin created accounts on the most used apps in the world, like Instakilo, TikTik and Twitter.

His accounts were instantly noticed. He gained more than 500 thousand followers in a single day. His followers increase by the tens of thousands every hour.

Jin did this to gain money. Being a hero does not pay for the food on the table, but being an influencer does make a massive amount of cash. Enough to live like a celebrity.

"Well, we should not waste time. Let's go and meet the Teen Team." Jin said with a smirk as Eve flew towards the bridge. The two reached the base, hidden in a bridge at the top.

Swish!

The hatch to the base opened as Eve lowered herself, and the two flew into the base. Teen Team's attention was instantly on Jin and Eve.

"So this is the big guy who is gaining fame! Does not look like much." Rex Splode said with an annoyed tone. Eve has been talking about Jin so much that his ears hurt.

"Well, I am glad to be welcomed so warmly," Jin said with a smile, ignoring Rex. Robot stepped down and walked to Jin. The Robot extended his hand for a shake.

"Nice to meet you, Jin. I am Robot, and this is Teen Team. Team, introduce yourself." Robot's voice came out as he turned to the team. The first to step up was Dupli-Kate.

"Nice to meet you, Jin. I am Dupli-Kate or Kate for short." Jin smiled as he waved to Kate.

"And i am Rex Splode! Better remember the name, new guy." Jin looked at Rex with raised brows, but he just shrugged since he did not have time to deal with a clown.

"Jin. Do you mind showing us some of the things you are capable of? We need to know." Robot asked as he pointed to the wall, where a room revealed itself.

"Not at all" Jin shook his hand, and Robot led him into the room where a machine with two handles was. Robot instructed to grab those handles.

"Okay. This machine is capable of finding out how strong you are. Just push as hard as you can," Robot instructed as he pushed a button, activating the machine.

"Pftt! Whatever, I bet he can't score higher than me!" Rex said as he pointed his thumb at himself.

"Oh, yeah?" Jin asked with a smirk. Rex nodded, and Jin looked back at the machine. He used Mana Strengthening, and he started pushing.
