Chapter 227: Is That Your Real Goal?

Chapter 227 - Is That Your Real Goal?

After receiving Mahiro's answer, a smile unconsciously appeared on Ais's face.

However, it quickly faded, returning to her usual calm demeanor.

"Well, I'll find you when the expedition ends," Ais said.

Though her expression returned to its usual stoic state, her mental state was no longer the same as before she entered the dungeon.

After a moment of thought, Ais looked at Mahiro again.

"This time, I will never miss our appointment."

Seeing Ais's earnest expression, Mahiro smiled and nodded lightly.

"Alright."

"Hey, handsome guy, after I return from the expedition, can I find you too?" Tiona asked, her eyes filled with expectation.

"Do you have any business with me?" Mahiro asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I just want to spend some time with you. I promise I won't get in the way of you and Ais," Tiona said, clasping her hands together in a pleading gesture.

"It would be even better if you could teach me how to become stronger, like Ais."

"Is that your real goal?" Mahiro asked, giving Tiona a sidelong glance.

"It's just an added bonus I'd be getting."

"Well, If you're willing to have a child with me, that would be even better," Tiona teased, sticking out her tongue playfully.

Mahiro couldn't help but facepalm. "You're still a child!" he exclaimed.

"Is that a yes?" Tiona pressed, shaking Mahiro's arm coquettishly.

"Tiona, you're being ridiculous!" her older sister, Tione, interjected, shivering slightly as if disgusted.

She rubbed her arm as though trying to rid herself of goosebumps.

"Don't be fooled by her act. This isn't like her at all. She must have taken the wrong medicine or something."

Hearing this, Tiona shot her sister a sharp glare, though Tione remained unfazed.

Watching the two sisters bicker, Mahiro found the situation amusing and chuckled to himself.

"Fine, come if you want," Mahiro said, relenting.

His primary goal was to teach, and having Tiona around didn't bother him too much.

"Thank you, Mahiro! You're the best!" Tiona looked overjoyed, and immediately hugged Mahiro.

Compared to Hestia's soft and delicate frame, Tiona's Amazonian physique was firm and full of energy.

Her open attire also made the physical contact more noticeable.

"By the way, if you want to pursue Riveria, I can help you with that too," Tiona added with a mischievous grin after releasing him.

Mahiro was speechless.

Am I really being labeled as someone who wants to pursue Riveria?

He thought.

Why does everyone seem to think that?

"Didn't you just say you wanted to have a child with me? Why are you pushing me toward Riveria now?" Mahiro retorted.

"Well, I do want to have a child with you," Tiona replied nonchalantly. "But that doesn't mean you can't pursue Riveria too!"

Mahiro was stunned by her reasoning.

Her perspective was... surprisingly open-minded.

At least he wouldn't have to worry about any jealousy or drama.

For a moment, he felt that teaching her might not be such a bad idea after all.

"What nonsense are you spouting?!" Riveria snapped, her face red with anger.

She raised her staff and bonked Tiona on the head, producing a loud thud.

"Ouch, Riveria! That hurt!" Tiona whined, rubbing her head with a pained expression.

"Stop talking nonsense," Riveria warned.

It seemed like everyone was determined to make her look like she couldn't find a partner.

In reality, Riveria was quite popular, both among the elves and adventurers.

It was just that, after this series of events, she couldn't help but feel a bit flustered.

Noticing Mahiro staring at her, Riveria's blushed slightly.

As a member of the elven royalty, she prided herself on her dignity and composure.

Yet here she was, losing her temper in front of others.

Riveria took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Anyway, our original mission was to defeat the Goliath. But since Mahiro has already taken care of it, there's no need to continue," Riveria said, regaining her composure.

"We'll begin the expedition the day after tomorrow."

"Go back and prepare any supplies you might need. I don't want anyone rushing at the last minute."

Riveria intended to take the group back to the surface.

If they stayed with Mahiro any longer, she feared they might end up revealing even more embarrassing details about her.

"Mahiro, since you just defeated the Goliath, do you want to head back with us? Or are you planning to rest on the 18th floor?" Tiona asked.

"I'll go back with you," Mahiro replied.

He needed to return to exchange the magic stone for valis before re-entering the dungeon.

Riveria nearly lost her temper again.

She had been ready to lead the group back, but Tiona's intervention had thrown a wrench in her plans.

Now, they were going back with Mahiro?

That meant traveling through seventeen floors together.

By the time they reached the surface, she was sure Ais and Tiona would have spilled every last detail about her.

Mahiro noticed Riveria's discomfort and chuckled.

He could easily guess what she was thinking, given how the conversation had taken such an awkward turn.

He walked over to the Goliath's magic stone, and a large magic circle appeared beneath his feet.

The circle was large enough to accommodate four more people.
