Comics multiverse: Reborn as a special mutant

Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Mutant Ability—Living off women

"Mutation is the key to our evolution."

"It allowed us to evolve from a single-celled organism to the dominant species on this planet."

"It's a slow process."

"Usually, it takes millions of years."

"But every few hundred thousand years, evolution leaps forward…"

The midday sun shone brightly through the window, casting its light on everyone's face.

On the stage, a heroic female teacher delivered a vivid and emotional lecture on biology.

Meanwhile, in the audience, Norin twirled a pencil lazily, his gaze drifting out the window as his mind wandered.

At that moment, he felt like he was back in high school before his time travel. Those boring biology classes always had a way of making people drowsy.

Back then, he could take a nap. But not now.

Because he had traveled through time!

And not just anywhere—he was in a Marvel world where gods and demons coexisted, and aliens were as common as dogs.

Compared to his old universe, this world was far more dangerous.

A director of the Family Planning Commission, who preached balance, was sharpening his knives, preparing to launch an infinite war that would affect the entire universe.

Deep within the Earth's core, a Titan giant hundreds of kilometers tall—Tiamut of the Celestials Group—lay dormant.

If awakened, the Earth would be destroyed in an instant.

Then there was the Kang Dynasty, masters of time, watching over all life across the endless multiverse.

Of course, all of that felt distant for now.

What Norin needed to worry about more was the impending war between the human regime and mutants.

Because his current identity was a mutant.

Well, a student at the Xavier Academy for Young Talented People.

Hooray.

This was truly something to celebrate.

"Ugh, why don't I have a system?" Norin sighed inwardly.

As everyone knows, having an above-average system almost guarantees stability and freedom to do as you please.

Sadly, Norin didn't have one.

In this dangerous world, there was no system to provide a beginner's gift pack. Survival depended on his wits.

But he did have one advantage.

"Pay attention! Take notes and listen carefully!"

On the stage, Ororo noticed Norin's distraction and gave him a sharp look, reminding him tactfully.

Yes, the biology teacher was Ororo—Storm from the X-Men, whose mutant ability allowed her to control the weather.

She could summon lightning, dark clouds, storms, and other natural forces at will. Her combat power was formidable.

From what Norin remembered before his time travel, her abilities were nothing short of calling wind and rain.

Of course, her powers required some preparation, and her physical strength was only slightly above average—a weakness for her.

But compared to many mutants, Storm's abilities were already impressive.

Well, teachers everywhere were the same.

Norin focused and listened carefully as Ororo explained the biology of genes.

Though Ororo wasn't a full-time biology teacher, that role usually fell to Professor Charles, a man with multiple doctorates in biology, psychology, and more.

But Norin wasn't eager to seek out Charles for a biology chat.

As Norin pretended to pay attention, his mind raced, planning his next steps.

It had been two months since he arrived in this world.

Two months ago, he had traveled here under mysterious circumstances. When he regained consciousness, he found himself captured by a group of armed men.

He had no way to resist. In this world, he was just an ordinary guy from Dragon Country.

In a place rife with discrimination, he was an orphan—powerless and without any extraordinary abilities. Facing armed terrorists, he was helpless.

He also needed to sort through his memories.

His past life's memories had been dormant, only resurfacing when his emotions flared during the capture.

It was then that his mutant ability awakened.

Typically, when someone with the X-gene loses control of their emotions and awakens their powers, chaos ensues, often causing harm.

But Norin's ability was different. While not weak, it didn't grant him instant, overwhelming power. It didn't help him escape captivity either.

His ability allowed him to temporarily copy another person's mutant powers through bodily fluid exchange—like kissing.

Through testing, he found the effect lasted about a day, limited to the opposite sex. (TN: Wonder how he found out…)

With repeated exchanges, the duration could extend, and permanent replication wasn't out of the question.

Additionally, intimate contact with the opposite sex could "quickly" improve the flaws in their mutant abilities, even enhancing their power level.

This ability was incredibly potent.

Through the X-gene, mutants gained powers beyond ordinary humans, but not every mutant was lucky.

Mutations were random.

Some mutants gained god-like abilities, like Magneto or Professor X.

But for most, their powers were weak or came with significant drawbacks.

According to statistics, over half of mutants fell into this category.

Some gained strong abilities but had traits that made normal life difficult, like Rogue or Nightcrawler.

From this perspective, Norin's ability seemed like a self-sacrificing support type.

But in reality, it was far more complex.

For example, he discovered that his ability to copy powers could update as the other person grew stronger. Continued exchanges could lead to permanent replication.

He could also copy multiple mutants' abilities simultaneously. The upper limit was unclear, but it was undeniably powerful.

Sometimes, Norin wondered if his ability was more like a succubus's.

To make using his powers easier, his appearance had subtly changed when his abilities activated. His already handsome face became even more striking and charming.

His presence exuded an irresistible allure, enough to make anyone of the opposite sex take notice.

While not everyone fell for him at first sight, he left a lasting impression.

And his stamina in certain areas was unmatched.

He even had an ironclad constitution.

"Honestly, is this mutant ability just for living off women?" Norin thought.

"With iron stamina, max charm, and golden opportunities, I'm practically invincible! Why not just name this ability the fertility system?"

He secretly complained but couldn't deny the potential of his special power.

For now, it was incredibly promising.

Just exhausting.

Norin knew the specifics of his abilities thanks to his captors—Hydra.
