Chapter 43: 43 Mikey, The Invincible? [30 PS]

Hojou Kyousuke walked to the center of the park, casually waiting for the rest members to arrive.

"Kiyomasa!"

A group of people dressed in black combat uniforms walked over.

Upon seeing Kiyomaza Masataka writhing on the ground in agony, a delinquent with a rather scruffy look immediately shouted.

"Vice-boss!" Hearing the shout, Kiyomaza Masataka quickly scrambled up and staggered towards his teammates.

"Hey, you bastard! Did you really beat up our team like this?" A chubby man with the words "Third Squad Captain" on his shirt said with a fierce expression.

"Ah, I guess so," Kyousuke replied nonchalantly, glancing at Kiyomaza Masataka, whose arm was twisted and his face covered in blood.

Tsk, Kisaki said he'd be careful, huh?

In the two fights Kyousuke had been in, his opponents had only sustained minor injuries, the kind that would heal by the next day.

After all, they had no deep personal grudges.

"Go! Get revenge for Kiyomasa!" The short, fat captain shouted, charging at Kyousuke.

The world of delinquents often didn't bother with right or wrong; many times, it's just about avenging their brothers.

They simply wanted revenge when their comrades were harmed.

"Captain, be careful, that guy's tough!" Redhead quickly warned.

"I brought the entire Third Squad with me, do you think this kid can take us all down?" Pah-chin, the captain of Manji's Third Squad, said without looking back.

Hearing that, Readhead closed his eyes in relief, returning to his agonizing wails.

Listening to his comrades' loud shouting, Kiyomaza Masataka felt a surge of satisfaction.

Those guys are definitely going to get beaten up.

And that blonde, bespectacled jerk, I'm going to knock out eight of his teeth!

A few minutes later, the atmosphere around him grew eerily quiet, prompting Kiyomaza Masataka to cautiously open his eyes.

"What... what is this?!"

He stared in disbelief as all of Manji's Third Squad members lay on the ground, unconscious.

Only the kid with the bamboo sword remained standing, while that Hanagaki kid was still happily shouting and cheering nearby.

"Hey, is this all you guys from Kanto Manji have?"

Kyousuke lazily waved his sword, his tone unfriendly.

The warm-up hadn't even finished, and they were all down already.

He was really irritated by this.

"How... how is this possible? This is just the Third Squad, Kanto Manji has five squads in total!"

Seeing the calm, unscathed Kyousuke, Kiyomaza felt a deep fear.

How could this guy be so strong?

"Then hurry up and bring the rest here. Seriously, I'm wasting my time here." Kyousuke looked up at the sky, half of the sun already gone.

"Only the captain has the contact information for the boss," Kiyomaza answered, trembling.

"That fat guy?"

"Yeah, he's our Third Squad captain."

"Hey, wake up." Kyousuke kicked the chubby man, who had been knocked out cold by a single blow earlier.

"You bastard!" Pah-chin groaned, clutching his head as he sat up.

When it comes to fighting, Kyousuke had a special technique — it hurt but left no trace that could be used as evidence.

So, when Pah-chin woke up, he only felt a little dizzy and a sharp pain in his forehead.

"Quick, bring the rest of your group over here. Don't make it like a video game where I fight bosses and wait for the next level."

Seeing Pah-chin's still defiant expression, Kyousuke kicked him harder.

"I'll do it without you telling me. Just wait, Mikey will kick you out in no time."

Pah-chin spoke confidently, though inside, his nerves were on edge.

After witnessing Kyousuke's monstrous performance earlier, he wasn't so sure about Mikey's chances.

"Mikey, we've been defeated, it's at Tonyuki Park!" Pah-chin respectfully spoke into the phone, nodding.

Hearing the calm yet domineering voice of their leader, he regained his confidence.

"The boss and the main force will be here soon. If you're scared, you better run!"

"Hey, Kisaki, you still buying dinner tonight? I'm hungry again." Kyousuke walked back to where Kisaki Tetta and the others were resting, joking.

The Italian food earlier had been delicious.

Who would've thought someone with such a fancy restaurant background would also be a delinquent?

"You jerk, you still have the nerve to talk!"

Kisaki gritted his teeth as he opened his wallet with an exaggerated motion, revealing it was empty inside.

If it hadn't been for a discount thanks to their leader's reputation, Kisaki would've had to call home for money to cover the bill.

"Ha ha ha, I told you, I eat a lot, just not so openly in school."

"I knew you could eat, but I didn't expect you to eat this much," Kisaki said painfully.

"Well, you can't blame me entirely. The portions were just too small. How about this — next time you want to treat, we go for a buffet?" Kyousuke smiled awkwardly.

"You think there will be a next time?" Kisaki snapped.

"Heh, oh, you guys are here, that was fast." The roar of motorcycles interrupted their conversation.

"Their members are all local, of course, they're fast."

"Boss, be careful of Mikey."

"He's just a middle schooler, but many of the older delinquents have lost to him."

"And really, do we not need backup? This is a full Manji, not like the small fry before."

"Ah, do you think there's anyone stronger than me in all of Tokyo?"

Kyousuke casually waved his bamboo sword, then turned to Kisaki and smiled before walking toward the center of the field, waiting for the rest of the members to arrive.

With every fight, Kyousuke felt his strength grow.

The "Swordsmanship Talent" reward allowed him to continue improving just by swinging his sword.

Even repeating sword strikes mechanically, he could feel his progress.

And this battle with so many people was only making him stronger.

Now, compared to his fight with Aimei, he was probably twice as strong.

Kisaki, infected by his boss's confident smile, quickly took out his phone to call Makki Hojou.

He had checked beforehand, and the members of Bōzoku including the two sub-leaders were having a meal in the Shinjuku area, right next to Shibuya.

Though he had invited Kyousuke to join them, they had decided to look for Hanagaki Takemichi instead.

As the behind-the-scenes hero, Kisaki certainly wasn't going to make a move without proper preparation.

Though he had shown confidence in Kyousuke's strength earlier, he wouldn't take any chances.

Tokyo was no small-time gang like Aimei.

Having just formed, they'd already defeated the Ninth-Generation Black Dragons and grown quickly — they were about to dominate Shibuya.

After confirming that Makki Hojou would bring people over immediately, Kisaki looked at his boss.

If Kyousuke couldn't handle this, he'd be ready to join the fight!

Delinquents in black combat gear kept pouring into the park from the surrounding area, soon surrounding the clearing.

A small blonde man, draped in a combat uniform, walked with an indescribable aura, as the crowd parted for him.

Seeing him, Kyousuke's ears seemed to ring with an unknown background music.

Damn, the uniform isn't just for wearing — it's for draping! Next time, I'll wear it like that.

Kyousuke grumbled to himself, then thought, not everyone has legs like mine.

If that little guy had just worn the combat coat properly, with his half-long blonde hair, he might have looked like a Disney runaway princess.

What a shame, though, this guy's obviously the protagonist... why couldn't he be a girl instead?

Kyousuke stared at the little guy's head, trying to catch a glimpse of his name bar.
