Chapter 116: Tsunade's Method

The Shadow Clone Technique, and later the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, were nothing new to the Fourth Raikage and Tsunade.

Not just Tsunade, even Shizune, a pure and kind-hearted kunoichi, could use the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique to catch Naruto.

Ino didn't think this was anything to be particularly proud of. What was the big deal? She was busy with various records and tasks.

Tsunade nodded to herself in satisfaction. Good, this human wall was well-built. She would have to keep this up in the future.

Two hours later, the surgery was successfully completed. The shinobi from Kumogakure, led by the Fourth Raikage, took their leave. Tsunade received a hefty fee for the surgery and then gleefully took her two subordinates and pet pig to the casino for a lavish spending spree.

It wasn't until she had completely drained Shizune's hard-earned savings that Tsunade finally left the casino, her head hanging low.

Ino silently reminded herself to never carry money when meeting Tsunade in the future. Before she could graduate as a full-fledged shinobi, she had to maintain her image as a poor person.

This woman wasn't just a money-draining moonlight she was a full-blown sunlight!

With her money gone and her mind entering a state of clarity, Tsunade finally remembered her new disciple, Ino.

She said, "I heard you know quite a few jutsu? What can you do? Show me."

Ino had been waiting for this. Without any modesty, she demonstrated her Water Release, Earth Release, and Wind Release techniques. Aside from the Yamanaka clan's secret techniques, she even showcased the Steaming Danger Tyranny on the spot.

Looking at the massive crater left behind, Tsunade was startled. If caught off guard, even she could be killed by that. From her perspective, only the Susanoo of the Mangekyō Sharingan or her grandfather's Wood Human Technique could block it. The Flying Thunder God might also allow one to evade it, though her knowledge of that technique was limited.

Tsunade's focus was completely different from an ordinary person's. She patted Ino on the shoulder and laughed heartily, "Impressive, impressive! Hahaha now you can take care of all those debt collectors! This is great!"

When it came to the five elemental nature transformations, Tsunade really had nothing to teach. What she could teach was medical ninjutsu and taijutsu, which happened to be Ino's and even the Yamanaka clan's weaknesses.

Someone skilled in Water Release went to the river and caught a fish, then attempted to perform the long-struggled-with Salty Fish Revival Technique.

After less than two minutes of chakra output, Tsunade spotted the problem. "Alright, stop."

Ino looked at her.

Tsunade pointed at her forehead. "You've definitely spent a lot of time and effort practicing this, haven't you?"

That was indeed the case. Over the past two months, Shikamaru's fishing skills and Choji's fish-grilling skills had improved significantly.

Ino's confidence took a bit of a hit. "Yes, sensei. I found this technique quite difficult and couldn't seem to get the hang of it no matter how much I practiced."

Sometimes she even doubted whether she had any talent for medical ninjutsu. But how could that be? The original Ino knew medical ninjutsu, and after all the effort she had put in, how could she lack talent now?

Tsunade cut straight to the point. "You idiot! You've been practicing the wrong way from the very beginning. The Yamanaka clan… well, I'm guessing your Yin Release level is quite high. In that case, using the ordinary method of stimulating chakra to revive a fish would never work. Your chakra would only end up killing the fish."

Is that so?

Ino recalled the fish she had "treated" and the two poor pigs. The fish's vitality was indeed weak, but the two pigs she had chosen were actually quite strong. Even after being hit on the head, they shouldn't have died so quickly! So the problem lay in her Yin Release? Her Yin Release level was too high, which meant her Yang Release, representing life energy, couldn't progress?

Tsunade sighed softly. This girl in front of her was resilient, quick-witted, and highly goal-oriented. Her natural talent for effortlessly mastering jutsu was unparalleled. Most importantly, she carried an innate coldness in her demeanor. Aside from the difference in gender, she really reminded Tsunade of a certain someone from her past.

Ino's thoughts drifted further. There were quite a few shinobi who possessed both Yin and Yang chakra natures, but they were still relatively rare.

According to Tsunade, shinobi like Sasuke and Obito had Yin Release levels that were too high, making it impossible for them to develop their Yang chakra. Similarly, shinobi like Hashirama Senju, Nagato, and Naruto lacked Yin chakra because their Yang Release levels were simply too high.

Thinking about it carefully, this explanation made a lot of sense.

Having a teacher to guide her was indeed beneficial. Without this reminder, she would still be struggling with those mackerels and those big pigs.

Naturally, problems needed to be solved. Ino felt that she could definitely unlock Yang Release by spending some points, but using points for just the first level of Yang Release seemed like a waste. So she asked, "Then, sensei, what should I do?"

Tsunade wrapped an arm around her neck. "Don't be so serious, loosen up! When you're out having fun, you should enjoy yourself. Come on, let's go to the bar and talk properly!"

Rules about minors not drinking meant nothing to Tsunade. Ino wasn't completely against drinking either, so after a bit of hesitation, she gave in.

She told herself that this wasn't for the sake of drinking, but for gaining knowledge!

Shizune, watching from the side, was heartbroken, thinking that Tsunade had corrupted yet another young villager.

After three rounds of drinks, Tsunade finally revealed her method. "The Yin Release in your body can be suppressed with strong alcohol. Drink more, and when you're slightly tipsy, go practice. It'll definitely work! Hic… Trust me, I'm right!"

Ino stared blankly at Shizune. Was this for real? Her big-thighed senpai turned her head to the side, as if to say, "Don't look at me, I have no idea either!"

"What are you hesitating for? Come on, bottoms up!"

"Another cup! Hurry up, drink it! Good! That's the spirit!"

"Wow, little girl, you can hold your liquor! Let's drink to our hearts' content today, no stopping until we're drunk!"

Ino's alcohol tolerance was a relic of her past life. In this life, she had only drunk a few times while transformed into Jiraiya's form, but this body simply couldn't compare to Tsunade's alcohol-tested resilience. Medical ninjutsu practice? At this point, it was out of the question!

As she slumped over the table, the last thing Ino heard was Tsunade's triumphant laughter before everything went black.

After three days with Tsunade, all she had done was drink. She hadn't learned a single thing.

That said, it was quite enjoyable to forget all worries and troubles, drinking merrily with the two of them and a pig.

On the evening of the fourth day, Ino finally remembered her original goal she still needed to practice the Salty Fish Revival Technique!

But in her drunken state, she couldn't even find the fish. Everything was a blur, and every object looked like a salted fish.

"Hic… Let me think, I should have a way to sober up… just a little bit." Ino, as if under a genjutsu, shouted, "Release!"

Beside her, Tsunade and Shizune burst into laughter, and even the pet pig, TonTon, looked at her with a bit more affection.
