Chapter 75: Justice Vigilante Style
The trio walked out of Stark Tower into the cool night air, their steps confident as they adjusted to their new abilities. The city hummed with its usual energy—car horns, distant sirens, and the murmur of late-night crowds. Wanda Maximoff walked slightly ahead, her crimson aura faintly glowing, while Natasha Romanoff and Talia Stark trailed just behind, their eyes scanning their surroundings like seasoned predators.
"We've seen the Extremis Virus heal the worst injuries," Talia said, her tone teasing as she looked between Wanda and Natasha. "But now, we need to do something all women must do after a level-up."
"And what's that?" Natasha asked, raising an eyebrow.
Talia grinned. "Immortalize ourselves by fighting crime."
Wanda let out a small laugh, shaking her head. "That's your brilliant idea?"
"Hey, it's practical," Talia replied, her smirk widening. "And besides, you're a magnet for trouble. We might as well make the most of it."
Natasha snorted. "She's not wrong."
Wanda glanced over her shoulder, her lips twitching into a faint smile. "You two are impossible."
"Impossible but charming," Talia said, nudging Natasha with her elbow. "Admit it—you love us."
"Love's a strong word," Wanda replied, though her smile softened. "But you're growing on me."
Their banter was interrupted by the wail of police sirens and the distant rumble of something heavy crashing into metal. The trio's attention snapped to the source of the commotion—a block away, a bank stood in disarray, its front doors smashed open. Cops surrounded the building, their weapons drawn but clearly ineffective against the towering figure stomping through the scene.
The Rhino, clad in his iconic armored suit bonded to his body, lumbered out of the bank with sacks of cash slung over his shoulder. His gray, plated armor glinted under the streetlights, and his horn jutted out menacingly as he bulldozed through anything in his path.
"Well, well," Natasha said, clicking her tongue. "You really do have a knack for attracting trouble, Wanda."
Wanda sighed, crossing her arms as she watched the chaos unfold. "This wasn't me."
"Sure," Talia said with a smirk. "And if I didn't know better, I'd say you're almost like the protagonist of some grand story."
Fracture's head formed lazily beside Wanda's, her tendrils curling in amusement. **"More than you could ever know."**
The cryptic remark earned no reaction from the trio, who were used to Fracture's enigmatic commentary. Wanda let out a faint sigh, her gaze fixed on Rhino as he barreled through a row of police cruisers, sending officers diving for cover.
"Okay," Wanda said, glancing at Natasha and Talia. "I'm sitting this one out. Consider it a test of your new abilities."
Natasha arched an eyebrow. "You're not going to help?"
"You don't need me," Wanda replied with a small smile. "Besides, Fracture and I could use a break."
Talia grinned, rolling her shoulders. "Fine. We'll handle it."
As Rhino stomped down the street, Talia and Natasha stepped forward, their movements confident and precise. The air seemed to crackle with anticipation as the two women prepared to face their first real challenge since embracing their new abilities.
Natasha's green eyes flicked to Talia. "You ready for this?"
Talia smirked. "Are you kidding? I was born ready."
"Right," Natasha said, her tone laced with sarcasm. "Because nothing says 'ready' like a Stark playing hero for the first time."
Talia chuckled. "You're just mad because I'm going to make this look good."
Natasha rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a small grin. "Let's see if you can keep up."
Wanda watched from a safe distance, leaning casually against a lamppost with Fracture coiled around her shoulders. "You two have fun. Try not to destroy the city."
"No promises," Talia called over her shoulder.
The Rhino stopped mid-stride, his hulking frame towering over the fleeing civilians and shattered vehicles. He turned his head slowly, his beady eyes locking onto Natasha and Talia as they approached.
"Who the hell are you supposed to be?" Rhino growled, his deep voice reverberating through the street.
"Your worst nightmare," Natasha said coolly, her pistols already drawn.
Talia snorted. "Really? That's the line you're going with?"
Natasha shrugged. "What can I say? It's classic."
Rhino let out a guttural laugh, his horn gleaming under the streetlights. "You think you can stop me? I'll crush you like bugs!"
Natasha glanced at Talia, her smirk returning. "He talks a lot for a guy with a rhino fetish."
Talia grinned. "I know, right? It's almost sad."
Rhino snarled, his massive hands curling into fists. "You're going to regret that."
"Oh, I doubt it," Talia said, taking a step forward. "Come on, big guy. Let's see what you've got."
The tension in the air was palpable as Natasha and Talia squared off against Rhino, their newly enhanced bodies humming with the power of the Extremis Virus. Every muscle, every nerve felt alive, ready to respond with strength and speed far beyond human limits.
Wanda watched intently, her arms crossed as Fracture made herself comfortable on her shoulders. "They're going to be fine," Wanda murmured, more to herself than anyone else.
**"Of course they are,"** Fracture replied. **"They've got me for inspiration."**
Wanda rolled her eyes. "You're insufferable."
**"And you love it,"** Fracture said smugly.
The battle was about to begin, and the trio knew this was more than just a fight—it was a test of their evolution, their unity, and their ability to handle whatever challenges the future might throw their way.
As Rhino charged, his massive frame shaking the ground with every step, Natasha and Talia prepared to meet him head-on. Their movements were precise, their confidence unshaken. Wanda remained a silent observer, her crimson aura flickering faintly as she watched her allies step into battle.
Natasha cracked her knuckles, her smirk widening. "This is going to be fun."
Talia grinned, her blue eyes alight with excitement. "Don't hold back."
