Chapter 670 - 670 Teasing Ouyang Feifei

Chapter 670: Chapter 670 Teasing Ouyang Feifei

(Chapter Six)

“I trust your character,” Ouyang Feifei still answered very calmly.

“This has nothing to do with character,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “Passionate men and women in the prime of youth, due to some accidental stimulation, can’t control themselves and do things they shouldn’t—this is very likely to happen. I think you wouldn’t deny that.”

Ouyang Feifei’s face turned a bit red, but she still said stubbornly, “If I am willing to accept it, then I won’t regret it. And if I am not willing to accept it, you can’t force me.”

“If I force you, would you be able to resist?” Luo Ziling laughed.

But Ouyang Feifei did not elaborate further and stood up.

...

“How about you gift me another piece of your calligraphy? I plan to hang it in the living room downstairs,” Ouyang Feifei walked toward the study with an indifferent face, “I think, you wouldn’t refuse my request, right?”

Seeing Ouyang Feifei asking for his calligraphy with such an arrogant attitude made Luo Ziling very upset, and he immediately refused, “I’m not interested in writing right now.”

Ouyang Feifei did not expect Luo Ziling to refuse. She was stunned for a moment and looked at Luo Ziling incredulously, a hint of grievance in her eyes.

In recent years, countless famous calligraphers and painters wished to gift her their works, but she rejected them all. She had no interest in accepting gifts from those people, never feeling they were worthy of giving her anything nor that their works deserved to hang in her house.

Luo Ziling’s calligraphy was quite good, certainly much better than hers. With her level of appreciation, she believed Luo Ziling’s calligraphy was superior to that of those so-called masters. That’s why she felt that hanging a few pieces of Luo Ziling’s calligraphy would be quite classy.

Of course, the most important reason she had this thought was because of Luo Ziling himself. She was willing to hang his work in her home. She was not very interested in works from those whose calligraphy was better than Luo Ziling’s, or those done by Luo Liansheng or Luo Xusheng.

She just hadn’t expected Luo Ziling to actually refuse her to her face. She really wanted to rush forward and kick him hard to vent her frustration.

Seeing Ouyang Feifei looking at him with a face full of grievance, Luo Ziling was still going to continue to refuse with a hard heart, but seeing her lovely pouting lips, he felt a pang of compassion.

Since he had known Ouyang Feifei, what he saw the most was her cool and proud demeanor; she rarely let her emotions show on her face. You could say she was a woman whose joys and anger were not apparent in her expression.

It was rare to see her laugh or get annoyed. In Luo Ziling’s opinion, whether she was smiling or annoyed, she always looked better than having no expression at all. Especially when she smiled, she could truly be described as stunningly beautiful.

Luo Ziling had originally thought that Ouyang Feifei’s smile when she was heartily laughing was the most beautiful and endearing. But now, he no longer felt that way. He thought that Ouyang Feifei’s current expression, with her lips slightly pursed and her face showing a little grievance as she looked at him, was the most touching and adorable.

Seeing her like this from such a close distance, Luo Ziling even had the impulse to step forward, take her into his arms to comfort her properly, and make sure she wasn’t upset.

After making eye contact with Ouyang Feifei for a moment, Luo Ziling gave an embarrassed smile and found an excuse to back down, “Unless you help me grind the ink.”

Hearing Luo Ziling’s sudden change of tone, Ouyang Feifei’s look of slight grievance did not disappear from her face, but intensified. The corners of her pouty mouth turned up even higher, yet she did not speak, merely watching Luo Ziling quietly.

Luo Ziling was a bit overwhelmed and touched his own face awkwardly, “Why are you looking at me like that? I know I’m quite handsome, but there’s no need to stare at me dumbfounded, right?”

Ouyang Feifei still did not speak, continuing to look at him with the same expression, making Luo Ziling feel as if he had truly done something wrong. He instantly concluded that often, a beauty’s gaze could convey more than many words—just like Ouyang Feifei was doing now.

If Ouyang Feifei had voiced her dissatisfaction, perhaps he wouldn’t have cared, but the message conveyed through her eyes was something he found hard to bear.

As if possessed, he stepped forward, stretched out his hand, and pinched Ouyang Feifei’s cheek, then tweaked her nose. After successfully erasing her pouty expression, he smiled and said, “Alright, I’ll help you write, isn’t that enough? Hurry up and grind the ink for me, and stop looking like I’ve bullied you terribly.”

Having spoken, Luo Ziling remained frozen in place, unable to believe he had just made such an intimate gesture towards Ouyang Feifei.

While doing it, he hadn’t felt any hesitation, behaving quite naturally, but after seeing Ouyang Feifei’s exceptionally surprised expression, he felt very awkward.

Ouyang Feifei could not have anticipated that Luo Ziling would come up to her and make such a move, she hadn’t thought to dodge, nor was she able to.

After Luo Ziling pinched her cheek and stroked her nose, she was stunned.

No one had ever dared to be so presumptuous with her. Apart from her own grandfather and father, who would touch her face and nose in such a way, no other man had ever made such gestures towards her.

Let alone men, even women as close as Wang Qing and her sister Ouyang Huihui would not dare to treat her in such a way.

Her usual display of aloofness, the air of being high above others, had intimidated everyone around her; no one dared to do this to her, nor did anyone attempt such intimate gestures.

Ouyang Feifei felt that, after being treated so casually by a man, after a man had made such an intimate move on her, what she should do was slap him across the face, feeling extremely annoyed inside.

Yet, to her own surprise, she had no such impulse. Instead, after her initial shock subsided, she felt a hint of shyness and warmth, the little grievance in her heart gone, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

She immediately thought of the day when Luo Ziling had fallen asleep on her bed and what he had done to her in his sleep. It seemed her heart harbored some expectations of that sort, so she made no move, simply standing before Luo Ziling with her eyes cast down.

She wondered, if Luo Ziling, taking advantage of the situation, lifted her chin to kiss her, what would she do? Keep her neck stiff to thwart him? Or close her eyes and accept his kiss? Or perhaps, give him a kick, then vehemently condemn his despicableness and vulgarity?

However, before Ouyang Feifei could decide how to react, Luo Ziling had already stepped back awkwardly, quickly explaining, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to. Your expression was just so cute I wanted to pinch. Fine, I’ll write. If you don’t want to grind the ink, then I’ll do it myself.”

Ouyang Feifei’s expression did not change, but disappointment welled up within her involuntarily.

But in the end, she merely sighed inwardly and followed Luo Ziling into the study.
