The Villain Only Wants To Live a Buddhist Life

Chapter 63

Chapter 63: Robert Broheim’s Integrity Lives On

Feeling the scent of melons, Dak was like a cat that had caught the smell of fish.

He immediately stopped in his tracks before entering the duel class classroom, turning around and heading towards where the scream came from. He did not run down the corridor but instead drew out the card, **”Magical Beast: Eevee,”** from his Mana Card Deck…

The academy forbade the summoning of familiars in the corridors, but strangely, there were no restrictions on mana spirits. Of course, even if someone summoned a familiar, few would bother to stop them.

Little Eevee was just not by Dak’s side at this moment.

“Mana Summoning!”

White light flickered on the mana card, and little Eevee leaped out, transforming into a solid form upon landing.

“Pikuh?”

“Go check over there; return if you sense danger.”

Dak pointed toward the source of the sound. Eevee immediately understood and started sprinting.

During this period, many students had already gathered in the corridors leading to various classrooms. Those who heard the scream quickly rushed over.

Though St. Maryan appeared to have only four houses with four classes per grade, it actually had six grades, totaling twenty-four classes! With each class having forty to fifty students, the castle housed nearly a thousand students, making it quite crowded.

Usually, because the castle had many side passages and dispersed people, it wasn’t obvious. But when something happened, everyone would crowd together, making the corridors very congested.

Dak wasn’t the first to arrive; several others closer to the scene had already reached their destination.

Little Eevee peeked around for a while before suddenly being picked up!

“Eevee!”

Before it could turn back, something strange grabbed it.

“A familiar I’ve never seen… Eh? It’s a mana spirit?”

Eevee was about to resist when it suddenly sensed an overwhelming aura, immediately cowering.

When Wit finally arrived, he saw his mana spirit being held by Senior Pandora.

Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he lifted his mana card.

“Eeveee—”

The ravaged Eevee hurriedly sought help.

Ignoring Pandora’s gaze, Dak directly returned Eevee to the mana card.

Then, pretending nothing happened, he asked, “Senior, what happened?”

Pandora glanced over and said, “It’s not a big deal.”

Indeed, it wasn’t a major issue.

A first-year student had been tied to a pillar.

The prankster clearly left some face, binding him there but not causing serious harm.

The screaming student was found.

It was a young girl from the Noble Academy standing beside her, now surrounded by others, obviously frightened.

This must be her first time experiencing such sudden trouble!

Dak’s expression changed slightly as he squeezed through the crowd and walked away.

There were hardly any first-years around, so no one recognized the ugly girl still sleeping like a dead pig tied to the pillar—it was Robert Broheim!

Despite being under some spell, Robert’s facial features were still very noticeable.

Considering Wit had appeared early in the corridor, he was undoubtedly searching for the missing Robert.

Dak didn’t harbor much ill will toward Robert.

They were classmates who had attended classes together, so he helped whenever possible.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one recognized Robert’s face, Dak quickly removed his coat and covered her head.

Robert was still asleep, likely drugged or affected by a similar skill.

Since the ropes were tightly tied, Dak spent considerable effort to untie them.

By then, more first-years had joined the crowd, though they remained at the back watching.

Upperclassmen seemed to consider such pranks trivial, whereas first-years were somewhat fearful.

Besides, someone else was already handling it.

“Need help?”

Pandora pointed at Robert’s head.

Dak, who was rolling up the ropes, replied immediately, “No need.”

If Robert woke up at this moment, who knows what chaos might ensue.

Some people’s intelligence couldn’t be relied upon.

It would be better to take her directly to the infirmary.

Fortunately, the infirmary wasn’t far away.

After Pandora helped disperse the crowd, Dak smoothly made his way to the infirmary.

The school doctor at St. Maryan was a nun, reportedly once a high-ranking nun in the Church of the Saints, but expelled for breaking rules and now working at St. Maryan.

As for what rules she broke?

Opinions varied.

“Is Sister Carrian here?”

Dak carried Robert in and pushed the door open.

The door wasn’t locked, but there seemed to be no one inside?

Dak had to move Robert onto the bed first.

The infirmary lacked the usual hospital smell and had good ventilation, which was comforting.

However, a snake whip hung oddly on the snow-white wall, its body resembling dense scales, making it somewhat unsettling.

“Morning.”

The white curtain of the adjacent bed was suddenly lifted, revealing Sister Carrian’s somewhat messy hair as she peered out.

Dak was startled and instinctively asked, “May I ask who you are?”

“I’m the school doctor you’re looking for.”

Sister Carrian slowly pulled back the curtain and stepped out.

She seemed to have just woken up, yawning occasionally, her white coat loosely fastened, giving her a somewhat casual and disheveled appearance.

Dak quickly shifted his gaze, mentally marking the infirmary as a dangerous place.

This doctor was definitely not right!

With classes approaching, Dak briefly explained, “This is my classmate, Robert Broheim from the first-year Knight Academy. When I found him, he was tied to a pillar…”

“Hmm, it’s a sleep potion,” Sister Carrian sniffed and said, “Nothing serious. He’ll wake up after sleeping for another two hours.”

Dak questioned, “Sleep potion, the kind used to aid sleep?”

Sister Carrian brushed back her silver hair with a smile, “Yes. Every year, a few sleepyheads end up here. Some are happy after waking up.”

Dak: “Why?”

Sister Carrian: “No classes, no penalty, isn’t that something to be glad about?”

Dak: “…”

No wonder you were dismissed!

Pointing at Robert, Dak sighed, “If it were just that, it would be fine. The problem lies elsewhere.”

Sister Carrian: “What problem?”

Dak: “He’s a male.”
