THE STREET KING

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Chase

Chapter 11: The Chase

1. A Race Against Time

Jinwoo didn't wait.

The moment Min-jae's words left his mouth, he was already moving.

Gunfire exploded behind him as he dove through the window, glass shattering around him. He hit the ground hard, rolling onto the pavement.

No time for pain.

Hye-jin was in danger.

Jinwoo pulled out his phone, fingers moving fast. He called Hye-jin. No answer.

"Damn it."

He hailed a passing motorcycle, yanking the rider off without hesitation.

"Sorry, man."

The engine roared as he sped through the streets of Seoul, dodging traffic, running red lights.

If Min-jae's men got to Hye-jin first… he might never see her alive again.

2. The Ambush

Jinwoo reached the nightclub just as the attack began.

The alley was filled with shadows—men in black suits, armed.

One of them kicked the door open.

Jinwoo didn't slow down.

He leaped off the bike, shooting mid-air.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three men dropped instantly.

The others spun around, but Jinwoo was already on them.

A knife flashed—Jinwoo dodged left, grabbed the attacker's wrist, and twisted.

Crack. The man screamed as his arm snapped.

Jinwoo grabbed his gun and fired. One more down.

But there were still too many.

Then—

A gunshot from inside the nightclub.

Jinwoo's stomach twisted. Hye-jin.

He rushed in.

---

3. Face to Face with Death

The nightclub was dark, abandoned.

But at the center, two figures stood.

Hye-jin.

And a man holding a gun to her head.

Jinwoo froze.

The assassin smirked. "You're too late, Jinwoo."

Jinwoo's mind raced.

If he made a move, Hye-jin would die.

If he hesitated, Hye-jin would die.

His fingers tightened on his gun.

The assassin chuckled. "Min-jae said you'd come."

He pressed the gun harder against Hye-jin's skull.

"You have one chance, Jinwoo."

"Drop your weapon—"

Before he could finish, Hye-jin moved.

Her heel smashed into the assassin's knee.

He stumbled. Just for a second.

But a second was all Jinwoo needed.

Bang!

A single bullet tore through the assassin's head.

He hit the ground. Dead.

Jinwoo and Hye-jin locked eyes.

Then, before they could speak—

Gunfire erupted outside.

Min-jae's reinforcements had arrived.

---

4. The Final Escape

Jinwoo grabbed Hye-jin's hand.

"We have to go."

They ran. Through the back door, into the alleys.

Footsteps thundered behind them. Too many.

Jinwoo saw a parked car. Unlocked.

They jumped in.

Jinwoo hot-wired it in seconds. The engine roared.

Hye-jin clutched the gun in her lap. "Where do we go?"

Jinwoo's grip tightened on the wheel.

There was nowhere left to run.

But he knew one thing—

Min-jae had just declared war.

And Jinwoo never lost a war.
