Supreme Game: Antimagic Apocalypse

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Level 6

To his ief, it was a Level 4 creature. He thought he could deal with it easily.

Well, at least that's what he thought.

Whoosh!

"Fast. Too fast."

The Feral Wolf wasn't an ordinary beast. Its speed was faster than his own.

It prowled toward him, moving left and right as if trying to confuse Victor.

His grip on the sword tightened as he swung it in an arc, predicting its trajectory.

With 19 Intelligence, his brain naturally calculated all possibilities.

[ Health -3 ]

Despite his preparation, his sword missed.

As a result, the wolf's claws brushed past his shoulder, tearing off his sleeve.

But Victor didn't let the small pain deter him.

Using his full Agility, he struck down at the Wolf—

"AWOO!"

[ Damage dealt: - 19 ]

Victor didn't stop.

He took advantage of the wolf's weakened state and hacked down repeatedly, knowing full well that his Antimagic wouldn't work on a non-magical monster.

After a few hits, the wolf couldn't move anymore. Because he had deliberately targeted its legs first.

Slash!

[ Critical Hit: -50 ]

As a final move, Victor's sword tore through its neck, and blood spilled.

The wolf's body twitched, then collapsed.

Blood pooled beneath it as its glowing eyes faded to darkness.

[ Feral Wolf has dropped the following items: ]

• Wolf Fang (Crafting Material)

• Raw Wolf Meat (Consumable, Restores 20% Hunger)

Victor's stomach growled at the sight of the meat.

"Guess I don't have to rely on berries anymore."

He stored the items in his inventory and glanced around the forest.

The fight had made a lot of noise. If more monsters were nearby, they might have heard it.

Victor knew he couldn't stay here. He needed shelter, a fire, and a plan for his next steps.

But it didn't look like he would have that easy.

"Awoo!"

Three more Feral Wolves appeared, their eyes glowing red as if enraged by their companion's death.

"So you want to die too? Great..." Victor smirked. "I was just missing a few EXP to level up. You guys will do just fine..."

Since they were only level 4, he wasn't too worried.

He charged into their midst. His bronze sword, though damaged, was still enough to deal the necessary damage.

Now that he was more adapted to his new strength, he was able to take down the wolves while weaving between their combined attacks.

But of course, he still took some damage.

[ HP: 56/70 ]

His shirt and pants were torn from their sharp claws, leaving scratches on his skin.

But this much damage was nothing. It would be healed when he leveled up.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

The wolves' bodies collapsed as a notification flashed in the corner of his vision.

Victor let out a breath, rolling his shoulders as he felt the familiar warmth of leveling up surge through his body.

"Heh, heh, not bad."

His torn clothes and scratched skin were nothing compared to the satisfaction of getting stronger.

With a smirk, he pulled up his status window and allocated his new 10 attribute points.

+2 for Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and remaining 4 on Stamina.

The instant the points were assigned, his body felt lighter, his grip stronger, and his mind sharper.

With this boost, he could move faster, hit harder, and last longer in fights.

But more importantly—he now had more wolf meat to satisfy his hunger.

Without hesitation, he moved away from his position. If higher-level beasts appeared at once, it could spell disaster for him.

He avoided going deeper into the forest, knowing that stronger creatures usually occupied the central region.

As evening quickly fell, Victor finally found a small cave hidden behind a few bushes.

There were no footprints or signs of animals; the grass and mud in the vicinity were untouched.

Despite that, he carefully stepped inside, fully aware that snakes or other creatures could be sneaking around.

Fortunately, there were none.

The inside of the cave was slightly darker than the outside. On top of that, it was evening, making it even dimmer than usual.

At the very least, the cavern walls provided a sturdy roof, offering protection from rain and the elements.

However, fire was a must. He needed it to cook the meat and provide enough light to see properly.

Unfortunately, he couldn't use Fire Magic—otherwise, making a fire would have been effortless.

But that was just how things were.

He would have to make fire the old-fashioned way.

For that reason Victor had already gathered some dry branches and leaves from just outside the cave.

Kneeling down, he arranged them into a small pile, then picked up two sturdy sticks.

"This is going to take a while," he muttered, rubbing them together in quick, forceful strokes.

Minutes passed as he focused on creating enough friction. His hands ached, and sweat formed on his brow, but finally—

A wisp of smoke.

Encouraged, he continued rubbing until a small ember formed. Carefully, he leaned in and blew on it, feeding it with dry leaves until flames flickered to life.

"Finally," he sighed, adding more sticks to strengthen the fire.

Once the flames were stable, he took out the wolf meat, skewering pieces on a sharpened stick. Holding it over the fire, he slowly roasted the meat, watching the fat sizzle and drip onto the flames, sending up a mouthwatering aroma.

The smoke did escape the cave, but in the dark, it was barely visible.

The scent of cooked meat, however, could attract other creatures.

As such, once the meat was ready, he immediately chewed on it to finish faster before the scent spread too far.

But the next moment, Victor froze upon seeing a girl entering the cave.

"Oh, meat, meat..."
