Chapter 217: Faith
A few hours later, Chu Wuyao's God Clone stepped out of the Evil Refining Pagoda and returned to the Heartless Peak.
The God Clone's appearance was the same as before, except that this time, she held a long golden sword in her right hand, a sword which exuded a powerful aura.
Just above the sword, the transparent figure of a middle-aged general could be seen, who was staring at Chu Wuyao with eyes that were filled with admiration, as well as fanaticism.
"Praise the Lord!", the Weapon Spirit muttered in a low voice, and if one were to judge by his current appearance, it would have been completely impossible to guess that just a few hours ago he regarded Chu Wuyao as his mortal enemy.
As she looked at the middle-aged man's expression, Chu Wuyao couldn't help but let out a sigh, never expecting that faith was so powerful.
In fact, faith was not something unknown to the people of the Cultivation World, and there were actually many powerful cultivators who could not only come in contact with it but could also make use of it.
In the minds of these cultivators, faith could be considered a type of energy, similar to Qi and Mana. Continue reading on My Virtual Library Empire
It's just that faith was even more conceptual than these types of energy.
The history of the Cultivation World was not without cultivators who tried absorbing this energy wanting to improve their strength, but unfortunately, those experiments ended up being failures in 99% of cases.
After many experiments, cultivators came to a conclusion.
Although faith was a type of energy like Qi and Mana and could be absorbed, it was best to not do it.
This was because faith was not "pure", containing the emotions, thoughts, and most importantly, the beliefs of living creatures.
Because of this, the cultivators who rashly absorbed faith would either end up going crazy, giving birth to multiple personalities, or their personalities would gradually change until they completely lost themselves, turning into the ideal concept that their believers had in mind.
For this reason, most cultivators treated faith akin to a poison, unwilling to interact with it, much less absorb it.
In the past, Chu Wuyao had the same attitude as those cultivators.
Yet now, her attitude had changed.
"The entire God power system is created based on the concept of faith."
"It's no wonder that the God power system always seemed to be inferior to cultivation. After all, to bring out its full power, one has to come into contact with faith."
"Gods can choose to 'burn' the faith they have accumulated in exchange for some short-term power, or more importantly, they can use this faith to transform their Kingdom of God and permanently improve their power."
"But to do this, practitioners have to become Gods. In essence, all the realms before the realm of God, whether it is Warrior and Magician Apprentices or Holy Realm practitioners, are simply a preparation for the practitioner's transformation into Gods."
"This means that before they become Gods, practitioners of the God power system are usually weaker than cultivators of the same realm, but once this transformation is completed, Gods will not only be able to fight evenly with cultivators, but they will also have an advantage."
Chu Wuyao felt the changes in her Kingdom of God, and recalling the changes of the Weapon Spirit after the infusion of faith, she found that her understanding of Gods had improved by a lot.
This understanding might not seem helpful and would not enhance her combat power in the short term, but it would allow her to go further in her cultivation journey.

"Bang!"
A loud noise came from within the room, followed by a scream filled with fury.
Although the door was closed and there was a formation protecting the interior, preventing their perception from extending inside, everyone could imagine how angry Wu Feng was.
The sounds continued for quite some time, and it was not until half an hour later that they finally came to a stop.
Just when everyone was wondering what was going on, the door of the room opened on its own.
"Come in...", a calm voice came from inside and echoed in everyone's ears.
Hearing this voice, the followers of Wu Feng looked at each other for a brief second, before stepping forward.
Once inside, the followers were surprised to find that Wu Feng was calmly sitting on his golden throne, looking as if nothing had happened.
If it were not for the previous angry shouts, it would be difficult for them to guess Wu Feng's mood.
On the other side, when Wu Feng saw that they stepped in, a gentle smile appeared on his face and he waved his hand.
"Come on. Sit down.", he said and his followers immediately followed his instructions.
An awkward silence spread in the room after everyone sat down and Wu Feng's seemingly calm expression rendered his followers unable to say anything.
However, soon, there was finally someone who was able to muster up their courage and speak.
"Senior brother Wu, what are you going to do? You should know that we've already offended that new true disciple."
"I'm afraid that sooner or later, she will take action against us. You should try to ask for help from Elder Fu before she does this.", a female Awakening Realm cultivator said, and the other followers nodded their heads in agreement.
This was not because this woman was the strongest among them apart from Xiong Qi, but also because they agreed with her words.
With their cultivation, they had witnessed everything that happened before and they knew of Xiong Qi's death, as well as about the brief confrontation between Chu Wuyao and Wu Feng afterward.
It was very clear to them that Chu Wuyao's combat power had reached the Creation Stage, and it was impossible for Wu Feng, who had lost his Dao Weapon, to be her opponent.
The fact that Wu Feng didn't dare to confront Chu Wuyao even though she killed his follower and stole his Dragon Slaying Sword was evidence of this, as it meant that he didn't have to confidence to fight against her.
In everyone's opinion, only by asking for help from Elder Fu, the Supernatural Realm elder who supported Wu Feng, could they resolve their current predicament.
"You don't have to worry. I've already communicated with Elder Fu and he has promised me that he'll deal with that true disciple once he exits seclusion.", Wu Feng spoke and everyone immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"Senior brother Wu is wise!", the female follower who had previously spoken immediately praised him as if she had never doubted him.
