One Piece: Mangaka of Legends

Chapter 7: A Storm is Brewing

The town was still buzzing from the fall of Captain Morgan, but I wasn't paying much attention. My mind was occupied with something far more important.

The second volume of Naruto had just been released.

I had uploaded it before we left Shells Town, and now, across the Grand Line, people were getting their hands on the next part of the story. The story of a blonde troublemaker who just wanted to be acknowledged.

A little ironic, considering I had been feeling like a background character myself lately.

I glanced at my crewmates as we set sail. Luffy was perched at the front of the boat, grinning like a lunatic as the wind whipped through his hair. Zoro was resting against the side, arms crossed, eyes closed—probably thinking about swords or booze. Coby, still shaky from everything that had happened, sat near the back, lost in his own thoughts.

And me?

I was wondering just how much chaos I had just unleashed on this world.

Across the Grand Line

A man sat at a desk covered in stacks of wanted posters, reports of pirate activity, and most importantly—manga.

Vice Admiral Garp took a big bite of his rice crackers, staring at the newly released Naruto Volume 2.

"Damn brat… this story's getting good."

He flipped the page, eyes narrowing. "That Zabuza guy's pretty cool. But this emo kid… Sasuke or whatever… tch, reminds me too much of that guy."

The room was silent until another Marine hesitantly spoke. "Uh… Sir, should we really be allowing this manga to spread so freely? It's influencing a lot of young recruits."

Garp scoffed, flipping another page. "As long as it doesn't make 'em betray the Navy, who cares?"

In another corner of the world, a young girl with violet hair clutched the book tightly, her eyes shining with admiration. "Naruto… you're just like me."

At the same time, a warlord of the sea, lounging in a darkened room, let out a deep chuckle. "So the masked man has released another volume. Let's see where this story goes."

Back with the Crew

"Oi, why are you grinning like that?" Zoro's voice pulled me back to reality.

I shrugged. "Just thinking about the storm I just caused."

"Storm?" Coby asked, confused.

I smirked. "I released another volume of my manga. People are probably losing their minds right now."

Luffy blinked. "Manga? Oh yeah, you do that secret book thing!"

"Secret book thing?" I deadpanned. "Luffy, you make it sound like I sell illegal merchandise."

Zoro raised an eyebrow. "Considering how obsessed people are with it, he's not wrong."

I sighed. "Well, either way, it's out now. And people are going to start asking who the hell is behind these stories."

Coby looked nervous. "What if the Navy tries to track you down?"

I gave him a lazy grin. "Let them try. I don't exist."

And that was the beauty of it. The system I had let me publish anonymously, distributing copies without ever needing to reveal my identity. To the world, I was nothing more than a phantom storyteller.

I liked it that way.

But deep down, I couldn't ignore the itch. The feeling of wanting more. I had spent so much time hiding, blending in, acting like I was just along for the ride.

I wasn't.

This was my story too.

And if I had to shake the world to prove it, then so be it.

Elsewhere…

A certain red-haired pirate had just gotten his hands on the book.

"Shanks! Shanks! You gotta read this part!" one of his crewmates shouted.

Shanks took the volume, flipping through it before pausing. His eyes softened.

"This kid… Naruto, huh?" He let out a small chuckle. "He reminds me of someone."

Then, after a moment, he grinned. "I like it. Let's see where this story goes."

And just like that, the seeds of a new era continued to spread.
