Naruto: The Medical Shinobi

Ryu and Dan both bought some supplies and food for the orphanage; after Yuki became rich, they were not lacking, but as a token of a gesture, they still did.

The caretaker, Hiroto, welcomed them by opening the door. Ryu greeted him warmly, saying, "Hello, Mr. Hiroto. Long time no see."

After a brief pause, Hiroto squinted at Ryu and bluntly asked, "Who are you?"

"I kept your secret, but it seems you forgot about me," Ryu reminded Hiroto.

Ryu sighed as Hiroto failed to recognize him and remarked, "Now I have to inform others about your relationship with Ms. Hotaru."

"Oh, Ryu, I did not recognise you with that wig," Hiroto said in a comical comeback.

"It's not a wig," Ryu burst out.

Dan chuckled, "You were mischievous even back then."

"Oh yes, he was a troublemaker and a blackmailer. He used to flirt with my fiancé," Hiroto said.

"Fiance?" Ryu asked in surprise.

"Yes, Hotaru and I are engaged now," Hiroto affirmed.

"Congratulations," Ryu said. "I would not be able to blackmail you now."

They engaged with the children at the orphanage, providing snacks for joy, toys for fun, and books too. They were led to Dr. Yuki's office. 

"Hello, Mother Yuki," Ryu said, addressing Yuki affectionately.

"Ryu, what a pleasant surprise." Yuki said.

"So how are things going with the orphanage?" Ryu asked.

"It's going great, all thanks to the generous donation of some people," Yuki expressed her gratitude, subtly thanking Ryu for the generous donation.

Ryu said, "Mother Yuki, I need a favour from you."

"Anything for you, dear," Yuki replied.

He told her about the healing seal that has recently developed and explained to her their plan to register the seal in her and Dan's name. She was surprised again that Ryu created something again for the sake of the medical community.

"You want me to take credit for your work again. No." Yuki said.

She told him, "This seal is impressive and will ensure more safety for medical ninjas, but no. I won't be stealing from you again."

Ryu talked and tried to convince her that it was for Ryu's and Dan's safety. They need a renowned medic for it to be more convincing.

After a few minutes of convincing, she sighed and said, "Okay, but never again. I will do this one last time."

Dan said, "But first we need to test it."

Yuki asked, "You haven't tested it yet."

Dan replied, "We need someone wounded to test it. We cannot test it ourselves. You have experience in animal testing. So we came to you."

Yuki replied, "Ok, I have just the thought to make it work."

They proceeded to the staff room, where they encountered Ms. Hotaru.

Ryu greeted her, "Ms. Hotaru, congratulations on your engagement. It's nice to meet you. Please invite me to your wedding."

They shared small talk; Ryu had to explain his hairs again, and then she showed him an albino hummingbird. 

Yuki explained, "This one had its wings injured; I needed to hold him to lift him to heal him, but the bird does not like to be touched, so it never stayed still enough to let me heal him, so I let her take care of it naturally."

Hotaru glanced at Ryu and stated, "It's been hours since we discovered him wounded beside the door. He was very white and reminded me of you. But not anymore, I suppose."

"Okay, this is perfect," Ryu said as he placed the seal on the table, activated it with the rat seal, and then performed the healing hand jutsu on the seal to store the jutsu inside.

After some time, he said, "I think this much healing time will be enough."

"Ms. Hotaru, please put the bird on the seal." Ryu asked.

Hotaru did as was asked of her. Ryu performed the monkey hand seal for seal activation, and the seal burnt bright green. It kept burning, and after the chakra stored was exhausted, it was deactivated. But no movement came from the bird. 

Yuki spoke, "Maybe it's not working. The seal failed."

Just then, The Hummingbird Showed small moment. Flapped its wings and started flying. It hovered over Miss Hotaru's head and inside the room with the speed of a bullet.

Dan wondered, "Are hummingbirds usually this fast?"

Yuki replied, "No. This one seems to be too energetic."

"Him. Are you sure it's not her?" Dan asked.

Yuki said, "It is indeed a male hummingbird. Female hummingbirds do not leave their nests in this season. They take care of the eggs, while the daddy hummingbird roams around freely, not helping the family."

The hummingbird was flying faster than the eye can see, for a normal person at least. It had only been seconds that it was healed, but it was full of energy, hovering in front of Ryu.

The bird landed on Ryu's outstretched hand, and he gently spoke to it, "Big guy, be a responsible parent. Go help and be with your family."

As Ryu finished speaking. The bird flew out of the window.

Ryu then turned to Yuki and said, "The healing seal worked. All we have to do is present it in both your names. For such a life-saving seal, I feel bad that we will sell this for money, but that money is going to fund other research fronts that will also save lives in other ways."

Yuki spoke, "If that's the case, then you don't need to be guilty about it."

Yuki then said, "Let's go meet Hiruzen. I have time; I will go as well." 

Ryu said, "I will also go."

They also left to meet Hiruzen to discuss the new seal.

They were led in by the receptionist. Hiruzen welcomed them by saying, "What a pleasant surprise to see all of you together."

"Good day to you too, Hiruzen." Dan said.

"All of you wouldn't be here without a reason. What is this about, may I ask?" Hiruzen said.

"Yes, you are right. We are here for a reason," Dan said.

He added, "Yuki and I were working together on something related to jutsu seals that may assist in medical ninjutsu. And we managed to create a seal that can heal the wounded without the presence of medical ninjas."

When the third Hokage heard that, he stood up in surprise. He asked, "You are not joking, right?"

Dan replied, "No, we are not. We tested the seal, and it works. You can also test it yourself." 

Hiruzen asked, "Do you two realise how big of a discovery this is?" 

Inside, Hiruzen thought, 'This is too good. All the things we ninjas create, even if used to protect someone, are inherently designed to hurt others, except for medical Ninjutsu. Medical ninjas are scarce and often killed in the line of duty during wars. This seal may help avoid such scenarios.'

Hiruzen asked, "You wouldn't mind if I also tested this seal?"

Dan replied, "Absolutely not. Go ahead. We tested the seal on some injured birds. You may test it on some other animal."

"Here is an encrypted version of this seal that I call the Healing Seal. There are some drawbacks that are listed in the scroll. But you will find. Drawbacks are nothing compared to the advantages of this seal present."

Hiruzen handed the scroll and read about all the advantages and disadvantages listed in it in a single go. AND SAID, "You are right. These are not major drawbacks. A seal as amazing as this one ought to have one or two drawbacks."

Hiruzen emphasised, "We must test this seal on larger animals, as a bird might not provide conclusive results."

Hiruzen then snapped his fingers, and his ANBU guard flickered in the room. Hiruzen asked him, "Go get me a medical ninja and send him to Inuzuka Quarters."

"Yes, Lord Hokage," the ANBU replied and flickered away.

"Let's go."

They reached the Inuzuka quarters. To test. The healing seal on an injured animal.

The Inuzuka members present there were surprised too. Find Hokage in their family quarters. Clan leader Tsume Inuzuka was promptly alerted, and she ran as fast as a racing dog to the gate.

"Lord Hokage, welcome to our humble abode." Tsume Inuzuka said

"Tsume How are you?" Lord Hokage replied.

"I'm fine, just surprised to see you here." Tsume replied.

Hiruzen explained, "My friends have created a new seal capable of healing. We're here to test its effectiveness."

"Before you say anything, I know you are not in favour of animal experimentation. But this seal has already been tested by them, and it is not dangerous. Can you help us test this seal? I will give you a free sample of this seal as a thank you."

Tsume thought for a second and replied, "I am honoured to be of service, Lord Hokage."

Inside the Inuzuka family quarters was an animal husbandry and veterinarian hospital where they all went to test the seal. Behind them was a medical ninja. Sent by the Hokage ANBU guard.

The Hokage could have simply asked Yuki since she was familiar with the healing hand jutsu. Additionally, some veterinarians are also skilled in this jutsu. His aim was to boost Dan's status and establish him as a source of power. Currently, except for the Fuinjutsu Council, Dan's identity remains unknown, and Hiruzen aimed to change that.
