Chapter 57: 57. Stick it!!
Tsunade informed Reko as she pointed out the pink haired kid. Currently, these two were the only candidates she felt like teaching personally.
...
"You have been a Chunin for a while but you would still proceed with leaf sticking exercise first."
As Tsunade said this, Sakura was already sticking lead to her head and began to meditate as she sat.
Reko understood the assignment and used the leaf in the same manner as Sakura. He controlled his chakra to stick the leaf to his forehead.
Too little chakra and he would drop the leaf, excess chakra and the leaf would be destroyed. Thankfully for Reko, he had been practicing Rasengan for a while. The basic leaf training could not cause him trouble at all.
Thirty minutes passed
'I didn't know it could be this exhausting.'
Reko was sitting with his eyes closed. With his enormous chakra, there was no way that he would get exhausted. Not to mention, the cost of sticking leaf to his forehead was negligible to him. He could technically do it infinitely.
However, the mental strain was catching up to him. He could feel himself getting bored.
"Oh? You have held up well. Now, start walking and bring me the schedule from the staff downstairs."
Tsunade smiled, seeing the persistence by Reko. His chakra control was within her expectations. She was aware that Reko was capable of using Shadow clone jutsu, evident that his chakra control was good.
"And don't let the leaf fall off your head."
Her smile turned into a grin as she asked Reko to use his chakra constantly to stick the leaf while he had to fetch items for her.
He would not happen to be capable of doing this too, right? Let's see how well he does.
Tsunade glanced at Reko walking out with slow steps, her eyes followed the leaf on his forehead.
"Yes mam!" Reko answered affirmative.
'Not that difficult, I have been practicing this with my kekkei genkai from the start.'
Reko had been familiar with the process of channeling chakra constantly to his kekkei genkai. It was not that difficult for him.
He had already been able to walk and run with the constant supply of chakra going to Steal.
'But I won't be able to use chakra while at it and I am very sure that the next task would be to use chakra, most probably ninjutsu while doing this exercise.'
Reko fetched the document he had been asked to bring and walked back to Tsunade. He was capable of this much chakra control and not so surprisingly Sakura was able to do it too albeit with difficulty.
Ton-Ton, Shizune's pet pig seemed to have taken a liking to Reko and kept following him all the time. Reko took notice of it but he ignored the pet.
Although Sakura seemed to be walking very cautiously compared to Reko. She managed to quickly get the feel for it and adapted to the chakra control.
Both of them were made to do menial tasks like bringing documents and tools back and forth.
Few hours passed as Tsunade seemed to be operating on patients one by one.
Finally, Tsunade stopped for a break and glanced at Sakura and Reko standing in the room before her gaze finally settled on Shizune.
Tsunade gave a quizzical expression to Shizune. Understanding the underlying meaning, Shizune in turn glanced at her pet pig Ton-Ton, and Ton-Ton nodded in confirmation.
"Yes, he did not drop it." Slightly surprised, Shizune said that to Tsunade. A newbie being able to pull it off was unexpected and a big surprise. Even Sakura who had been praised by Tsunade for her chakra control took time to adapt.
"I see. Good work Reko, but don't be complacent. Sakura is a talented girl and she would be catching up to you in chakra control in a few days."
As Tsunade glanced at Sakura still practicing with the leaf on her forehead, Tsunade complimented Sakura. She was already aware that Reko had good chakra control as he had been a Chunin for a while.
Although she was surprised that Reko had no trouble performing the task but it was nothing much, even Sakura had managed to do it, though barely. She was proud of her student.
"You can begin with the next step. Stick the leaf on your forehead as you walk upside down on the ceiling."
'Cannot have him wasting his time!'
Tsunade instructed Reko on the next step of the training. Since, he was already able to do the first step then it was time to increase the difficulty.
"Sounds easy." Reko muttered as he jumped on the ceiling and stuck to it.
Tsunade smirked as she heard Reko call it easy. Using chakra to stick to a surface while sticking something like a leaf was a difficult task. A shinobi needed to use two entirely different levels of strength for it.
Not to mention, Reko had to do it as he continued to do the menial tasks.
'Woah!! They must really be 106... Or maybe 110.' While upside down, Reko's concentration wavered for a second as his eyes fell on the deep cleavage in Tsunade's kimono.
The leaf dropped and glided down slowly on Tsunade's chest, causing her eyes to meet Reko's. He was very sure that for an instant he could feel the reason why Jiraya never bothered her.
The intense look in Tsunade's eyes and her aura that targeted Reko for an instant was dangerous. Luckily, Tsunade did not act on her impulse and decided not to deal with Reko's sneaky glances.
"There are many documents in the office that need your attention." Shizune informed Tsunade. There were lots of work that a Hokage needed to oversee and approve.
Realising that the next task would be difficult for even Reko, she reminded Tsunade that they still needed to work in office after the hospital.
Unaware of the little incident between Tsunade and Reko, Sakura kept trying to use different approaches for the technique.
'That ass... No, No!!!'
Out of habit, Reko had followed Tsunade's ass as she was heading out to the Hokage's office but he managed to look away before she caught him.
Shizune, together with Ton-Ton walked in front while Tsunade followed from behind.
