Chapter 223: Chapter 223: The Lecherous Skeleton

The allure of the Revive-Revive fruit captivated Shin despite its limitations. As one of the few devil fruits that directly involved the soul, its essence was undeniably unique and intriguing. However, Shin knew that taking the fruit from Brook would immediately end the skeleton's second chance at life—a consequence Shin was unwilling to impose.

"Oh ho ho ho! I haven't seen living people in so long!" Brook exclaimed dramatically.

Aboard the Azure Dragon, Brook played his violin and twirled to his own melody. He introduced himself with exaggerated flair, "My name is Brook! I was once a member of the Rumbar Pirates and now the only one left alive... well, relatively speaking, since I'm not really alive!"

Brook's story unfolded with a mixture of humor and melancholy, but his eccentric nature shone through when he suddenly turned to Violet. "Miss, may I see your panties?"

Silence fell over the crew before Violet's face darkened. Without hesitation, she delivered a sharp kick, sending Brook's skull spinning through the air.

His head came to rest at Pudding's feet. Brook, ever undeterred, asked again, "Ah, beautiful lady, may I see your pant... huh? What are you doing?"

"It's nothing, I just want to see your memory," Pudding replied with a mischievous smile. She grabbed Brook's skull and used her abilities to extract his memories.

"I wonder if skeletons store memories the same way humans do," she mused. "You don't even have a brain, do you?"

Using her Sharingan, Pudding swiftly sifted through Brook's memories. "Hmm, it seems this lecherous skeleton is telling the truth. He used to be the captain of the guard for a certain kingdom and later joined the Rumbar Pirates. Oh, and his musical talent is quite impressive."

"Ah, no wonder this guy is stuck in the Florian Triangle. His shadow was stolen by Gecko Moria, so he'll turn to ashes if exposed to sunlight."

When Pudding finished restoring Brook's memories, the skeleton was visibly shaken. He slumped in a corner of the ship, muttering and drawing circles on the floor. "Why are the women on this ship so terrifying? One nearly stomped me into fertilizer, another sent my head flying, and the last one just rummaged through my mind! I just wanted to see their panties… this is too much!"

Shin approached Brook. "Hey, Brook, don't you want to reclaim your shadow?"

Brook perked up slightly but quickly sighed in defeat. "To reclaim my shadow, I'd have to face Gecko Moria. Are you planning to challenge him?"

"Why not? I've faced far worse than Moria," Shin replied with a smirk. "Besides, anyone who enters the Florian Triangle becomes his target eventually. Conflict is inevitable."

Brook hesitated but nodded. "You're right. Ships that enter this area are treated as prey. But be careful—Moria is strong, and his zombie army is no joke."

Shin rolled his eyes. "I don't care about Moria or his zombie army. I've fought Kaido and walked away. Do you think Moria scares me?"

Brook's eyes widened in disbelief, but before he could process Shin's confidence, the enormous ghost ship of Moria loomed before them.

"Yo ho ho ho! If we're really doing this, let me lead the way to Moria's castle!" Brook exclaimed, drawing his cane sword.

Ulti scoffed and slapped him on the back, nearly breaking his ribcage. "Who needs a weak skeleton like you? Just guide us and stay out of the way!"

The rest of the crew exuded similar confidence. Most of them had battled warlords, emperors, and legends. To them, Moria was little more than a stepping stone.

Ulti leaped onto the ghost ship with unrestrained energy, prompting the rest of the crew to follow. "Wait for me!" Brook cried, scrambling after them.

The group quickly encountered a cemetery teeming with zombies clawing their way out of the ground. Brook shivered. "I've tried reclaiming my shadow before, but Moria's traps are everywhere. It's impossible to even get close to him—"

His words were cut off by the eerie groans of the undead. Shin approached one of the emerging zombies with curiosity. He considered pushing the creature back into its grave but, disgusted by its decayed appearance, opted to step on its head instead.

The zombie's brittle vertebrae snapped under Shin's foot, sending its head rolling. The headless body groped around in confusion before reattaching its head and glaring at Shin.

The moment their eyes met, the zombie let out a frightened whimper, buried itself back in its grave, and hastily smoothed the dirt over.

Ulti burst into laughter. "Hah! Even zombies are scared of you!"

Shin shot her a sharp look, silencing her immediately.
