As for the two attackers, Tatsuya recognized them immediately.

They were the infamous "Demon Brothers," Gōzu and Meizu—rogue ninja from Kirigakure with the rank of Chūnin.

"The first one, dies!" one of them growled.

With a sharp yank, they pulled on the chains, slicing Kakashi into a spray of blood.

Naruto's scream rang out. "Kakashi-sensei was—?!"

But the pool of blood was fake—merely a substitution technique.

Sasuke remained unfazed. He had fought Kakashi before and knew the man wouldn't go down that easily.

From the shadows, Kakashi observed quietly, using this as a test of his students' reaction under pressure.

Naruto, unfortunately, had already failed.

Before anyone could react, the Demon Brothers shifted targets. In the blink of an eye, they appeared behind Naruto, their chains flashing toward him.

Fear paralyzed Naruto, his whole body trembling as he felt the cold grip of death closing in.

Tatsuya moved.

Faster than Sasuke, he flicked a shuriken, knocking the chain off course and pinning it to a tree.

Without pausing, he followed up with a kunai, threading it through the hole in the shuriken to completely trap the chain.

Then, he leaped.

Landing on the arms of the Demon Brothers, he slammed both hands on their heads and kicked off them with full force.

Boom! Boom!

The two rogues were sent flying backward with no chance to counter.

Naruto exhaled sharply, relief flooding him. Sasuke, on the other hand, couldn't hide his shock.

"Tatsuya's taijutsu… when did he become this strong?!"

His disbelief was justified.

Back in the Academy, Tatsuya had ranked near the bottom in physical combat. Even during their bell test, he had relied on tactics rather than strength.

But now?

Tatsuya had moved so fast that Sasuke wasn't sure if he could match it himself.

Just as the Demon Brothers were about to hit the ground, they abandoned their chain and flipped mid-air to regain balance.
