Chapter 66: Chapter 66 : Where are your hands going??
"No! Hurry up and put me down!"
Wanda, cradled in Finn's arms, snapped back to her senses. She pushed against him with her damp, soapy hands, struggling to break free, but he held on tightly, unyielding—like a stubborn force of nature.
In desperation, the witch changed her strategy. She lifted her beautiful, clear eyes to meet his. "Finn, can you just let me down? I already prepared the water for you."
"No, my hands are hurt. I can't wash myself alone."
Finn turned his gaze away from her piercing stare, shaking his head resolutely. His face carried an air of logic—albeit completely fabricated. "Witch, you wouldn't want my wounds to get infected, would you?"
"..."
Wanda found herself speechless, unsure how to counter his argument. Technically, she couldn't refute it—he had injured his hands because of his temper. If she refused to help and the wounds really did get infected… she would undoubtedly be the one to feel guilty.
"So don't resist anymore. The sooner we start, the sooner we finish."
Finn smirked, watching the witch's troubled expression. The mischievous curve of his lips deepened—like a wolf finally cornering its prey. As expected, his little scheme had worked perfectly. Leaving his wound unattended had given him the perfect excuse to make Wanda help him.
"Ugh."
Wanda finally realized what was happening when she saw the bathroom door. She had been tricked again!
"Damn it!"
She struggled, attempting to jump down. "No! Let me go! I have other ways to help you bathe!"
"Oh? And what would that be?" Finn raised an eyebrow, curious about what trick the little witch had up her sleeve.
"My Chaos Magic can help you wash up in midair."
Wanda bit her lip as she spoke, her face flushing red before she buried herself against his chest.
"Wait, it can do that?"
"Yes."
Finn sighed, pretending to be disappointed. "Alright then."
He had lost this round, but when he glanced at the witch's completely red face, he found himself amused. "Witch, are you planning something? Why are you blushing just from using your Chaos Magic?"
"N-No! Stop spouting nonsense! Just get in there and wait! I can manipulate the water without looking."
Wanda shoved him into the bathroom and quickly shut the door behind him.
Leaning against the door, she took a deep breath and turned to the mirror beside her. Her reflection stared back—a flushed face, pink and glowing from her recent bath, now even rosier from embarrassment.
She slapped her cheeks lightly. "I actually agreed to use Chaos Magic for this…"
Outsiders wouldn't understand, but when she used Chaos Magic, she could feel everything it touched as if it were her own hands.
Which meant…
If she wanted to, she could feel everything her magic was touching on Finn's body.
After all, Chaos Magic was inherently connected to her consciousness. It was an extension of her will. That's how she dismantled machines in battle—by "sensing" their structure through her magic.
"Witch? Are you ready yet?"
Finn's impatient voice snapped her out of her spiraling thoughts.
"Almost done!" Wanda responded quickly, pressing a hand to her face. "Phew. Wanda, stop overthinking things."
Inside the bathroom, Finn lay in the bathtub, only his head and hands above water, waiting leisurely.
Outside, Wanda's voice trembled slightly. "Your voice sounds… odd."
"What do you mean odd? Just don't think too much and stay still."
Her Chaos Magic flared to life, and the towel hanging on the wall glowed red, as if an invisible hand had grabbed it, lifting it toward Finn.
"This feels like I'm in a paranormal movie…"
Finn watched the floating towel, amused. It reminded him of old supernatural films. Laughing to himself, he reached out to grab the towel—
—but the moment he did, it jerked back, as if avoiding him.
"Interesting."
Realizing that Wanda was controlling it, he grabbed the towel again and threw it down playfully.
"Finn! Put it down! If you keep messing around, I'll leave you to wash yourself!"
Outside the door, Wanda was growing irritated. Every time she tried to help him, he found a way to tease her!
"Fine, fine. I won't move." Finn surrendered.
"Good. Stay still."
Wanda, ensuring the towel was under her control again, prepared to wash his hair.
However… a problem quickly arose.
She couldn't see inside.
How was she supposed to accurately reach his head?
"Whatever. I just need to find the right spot and move fast."
Her face turned red again as her palm glowed with scarlet energy. Meanwhile, in the bathtub, a faint, translucent shape appeared beneath the towel for a brief moment before vanishing.
"Hurry up already—"
Before Finn could finish his sentence, the towel landed on his head.
A small, delicate force began rubbing his hair, even thoughtfully applying shampoo. He had expected Wanda to wash it hastily, but instead, the towel continued massaging his scalp, pressing into his pressure points.
His entire body relaxed. "This… actually feels nice."
Getting your hair washed was always a pleasure—especially when the one doing it knew how to make it enjoyable.
And when that person was someone you liked?
Even better.
Outside the door, Wanda yawned, hearing Finn's content sigh. "Is he really this easy to please?"
Stretching her arms, she muttered, "I'm getting sleepy. I'll finish this quickly and go to bed."
She used the showerhead to rinse off the shampoo, then wrung out the towel. Since she still couldn't see inside, she repeated her previous method, creating a smaller, more precise Chaos construct to guide her movements.
But then—
"Wait…?"
Something felt off.
She had meant to touch his hair… but the sensation was completely different.
Under the towel, she felt firm ridges, smooth yet distinctly sculpted.
Abs. Defined, hard abs.
Her fingers tensed.
Realization dawned on her like a lightning strike.
"Oh no."
What was she doing?! She was literally feeling him up!
If Finn found out, she would be doomed.
Frozen in place, she held her breath.
Seconds passed…
Nothing.
He didn't seem to notice.
She exhaled in relief. "Okay. He didn't realize. Just pretend nothing happened and finish up quickly—"
"Witch."
Finn's deep voice echoed from inside.
Wanda flinched.
"What are you doing?"
Her heart stopped. Oh no, he noticed.
"I—I was just getting a drink of water! I'll be right back to help!"
She immediately resumed washing, but in her panic, she miscalculated again.
She meant to touch his head—but ended up feeling something else entirely.
Chest. Defined collarbones. A strong jawline. The curve of his Adam's apple.
Her fingertips—no, her Chaos Magic—traced each feature. Unconsciously, she murmured to herself, "It feels… nice…"
Then—
"Witch!!!"
Finn's voice boomed through the bathroom, making Wanda freeze like a caught criminal.
"Why the hell is your Chaos Magic stroking my body?!!"
Panic. Absolute panic.
Busted.
Dead.
Her wide, clear eyes filled with horror as she realized she had just been caught red-handed.
"Shit."
