Chapter 520: 520: No Title
Caleb's curiosity was an untamed beast within him, pushing him towards danger and discovery in equal measure. Despite the ant's fervent pleas, he decided to venture out into the night. "You can't stop me," Caleb said with a stubborn chuckle. "And honestly, I doubt even a level 4 monster could hold me back."
The ant, its antennae twitching nervously, finally relented. "Very well," it sighed, "but please, be cautious. This Leviathan, it's not just any monster. It's said that with a mere sweep of its tail, it could obliterate multiple kingdoms as if they were mere sandcastles washed away by the tide."

Caleb raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. "Impressive, indeed. But can it destroy an entire planet?" he queried with a sly grin, half-joking, half-serious.
The ant paused, taken aback by the scale of Caleb's question. "I... I don't know," it admitted. "Why would you even ask that?"
With a mysterious smirk, Caleb didn't answer. Instead, he stepped out of the underground shelter and into the chilling embrace of the night. The forest around him felt alive with a sinister pulse, the trees swaying not with wind but with the tremors caused by something far more colossal.
As he walked, the ground beneath his feet vibrated with the power of something immense moving in the darkness. The air was thick with a heavy, oppressive silence, broken only by the occasional distant crash—a sound too deep and too thunderous to be anything but the Leviathan.
Finally, he caught sight of it. High above, obscured by a haze of darkness and the canopy of trembling trees, an impossibly long silhouette stretched across the sky. It was like looking at a mountain range moving against the backdrop of the night. The sheer size of the Leviathan was breathtaking, its body stretching over 800 kilometers, with scales that glistened under the faint moonlight like rows of armored plates.
Caleb stood there, a tiny figure shadowed by the vastness of a true monster. The sight was humbling, yet exhilarating. As he watched the Leviathan's massive form undulate gracefully through the sky, he realized this creature embodied the raw and merciless power of nature itself.
Even as the forest shook and the air thrummed with the echo of the Leviathan's movements, Caleb's smirk widened into a grin.
Just like that, in the dim light of the night, Caleb turned to the ant who had caught up to him, the creature's body language tense with worry. "It seems like the Leviathan is just snoozing," Caleb remarked casually, his eyes still fixed on the dark silhouette of the colossal monster above them.
The ant was visibly shocked by Caleb's nonchalant observation. "Even in its sleep, no creature dares to approach the Leviathan," it whispered, its voice a mixture of awe and fear. "Its mere presence commands the wilderness."
Caleb, intrigued, began to assess the Emberback Leviathan's energy more carefully. He sensed the vast power within its massive form, a power that could indeed devastate multiple countries, perhaps even enough to rival the destructive force capable of obliterating half of a continent like Asia back on Earth. Yet, despite this incredible potential for destruction, Caleb's mind wandered to the unimaginable possibility of turning this beast into his pet.
"A Level 4 monster as a pet would certainly be interesting," Caleb mused to himself, his thoughts wandering to the strategic and personal benefits of such a formidable ally. However, he was also wary. His previous experiences in another world had taught him the dangers of drawing too much attention. The last time he had wielded immense power, a being of pure light had appeared and ended his journey abruptly, deeming him too dangerous to exist.
This memory made Caleb cautious. "If I make the Leviathan my pet, it could potentially alert other, even more powerful beings. They might fear what I could become," he reasoned internally. The risk of provoking another higher power, possibly leading to another deadly encounter, weighed heavily on his mind.
Caleb peered into the dark, his voice broke the silence, "Not the right time yet," he murmured, almost to himself but loud enough for the ant to hear. The ant, puzzled by his words, thought, What the heck is this human planning? He's not like any other I've encountered. And what's his name?
Unbeknownst to the giant Leviathan slumbering in the darkness above, its massive presence had only detected the ant, which seemed oddly undisturbed by its proximity. The Leviathan briefly considered the audacity of such a small creature. Why isn't this little level 2 monster hiding? it thought with a dismissive snort. But to the Leviathan, such creatures were insignificant, mere ants, not worth the energy of pursuit. They're just part of the landscape, it concluded, settling back into its lethargic rest. Although it was "literally" an ant.
Meanwhile, Caleb stood silently, his eyes fixed on the colossal beast, his mind racing with thoughts of power, control, and the delicate balance of revealing his strength. The ant, observing Caleb's calm demeanor, continued to mull over the situation. This human... he doesn't seem afraid. Is he powerful enough to face a Leviathan? Or just foolish? The ant felt a mix of admiration and confusion toward the mysterious man.
The Leviathan, meanwhile, remained oblivious to Caleb's presence. It was a creature accustomed to being the apex predator, unchallenged and sovereign over its domain. The concept that any being, especially a human, could pose a threat was beyond its comprehension. It considered the ant's boldness a trivial anomaly in the night's quiet.
Caleb, deciding the time was not yet right to reveal his full capabilities, especially with the memory of being extinguished by a higher power in another world, chose caution over confrontation. I must be careful not to repeat past mistakes, he reminded himself. Drawing attention now could provoke entities I'm not yet ready to face.
The ant, still trying to understand the situation, resigned itself to simply follow Caleb's lead, its thoughts a jumble of curiosity and concern. What kind of being have I allied myself with? And what will become of us in this vast, wild wilderness?
