Chapter52-Contract Offer! The Power of the Black Hat Gang!(1st update, Cheer me with Power Stones!)
After a night of pleasure, when Daniel opened his eyes, Sophia was nowhere to be found in his arms.
Just then, his phone rang.
A seductive voice came from the other end, "Mmm~ ah~"
"Darling, are you still asleep?"
As soon as her voice sounded, the blanket covering Daniel's crotch was propped up by an erect object.
Holding back his morning desire, he stretched and said, "Just woke up, got your call, now my desire is stirred up again, what should I do?"
Sophia blushed a little, "Mind your words, I'm on the bus!"
"I'm heading to school for registration, I'll fulfill your request from last night when I return."
Daniel feigned confusion, "What request?"
Sophia replied, "You're playing dumb!"
Daniel didn't let go, "If you don't say it, I won't hang up."
Embarrassed and a bit angry, Sophia whispered, "You devil!"
"When I come back, I'll suck out all the semen from your dick, leaving you bedridden for half a month!"
Perhaps she was genuinely annoyed as she hung up the phone after speaking.
Daniel was in no rush, sprawled out in bed, basking in the residual hormonal scent in his sheets, before finally getting up to wash and freshen up.
...
Meanwhile, at TW live streaming platform's company headquarters, Selena, the person in charge of signing streamers, was very anxious.
As the manager responsible for signing top streamers to the TW platform, she had quite a reputation in the industry.
Every streamer she signed now boasts tens of millions of followers, all flourishing in their careers.
Countless streamers dream of being signed by Selena.
However, right now, Selena was frustrated.
She had been trying to contact Daniel for the past three days.
Since Daniel didn't leave a phone number when he registered as a streamer, she had to send him private messages via the platform, urging him to get in touch.
Unexpectedly, three days had passed, and he had not read a single message she sent.
She was unable to reach a streamer who, after just a week of streaming, had already amassed over a million fans and had over a hundred thousand concurrent viewers.
Without a contract, she couldn't package Daniel, and without the packaging, the rate of fan increase couldn't be boosted.
Even though the current rate of fan increase was already sky-high, precisely because of this, packaging was even more necessary.
Selena was confident that she could make Daniel a top internet streamer with tens of millions of fans within a month and over a hundred million fans within three months.
The income that such a streamer would bring to the company and to her personally would be astronomical!
With this in mind, Selena's desire to find Daniel intensified.
At this point, her assistant suggested, "Since he's definitely going to live stream from Golden Shores Harbor, why don't we just go there directly, lie in wait, and we'll surely encounter him."
Hearing this, Selena's eyes lit up.
That's right!
After watching his live streams for several days, Daniel had hardly missed a single Container Hunt Auction at the harbor.
She searched online for the auction schedule at the harbor and, sure enough, there was an auction today!
She immediately ran out of the office, and her assistant, showing initiative, grabbed Selena's bag and followed her out.
After freshening up, Daniel fried himself an egg and warmed up a cup of milk.
After breakfast, he lay on the couch in the living room and started watching TV.
It had been several days since he had last enjoyed a leisurely day.
Anyway, he had nothing to do today, so why not enjoy a relaxing day at home?
He wasn't sure how much time had passed, just that the hour hand on the wall clock had swept over several numbers.
Daniel was watching TV and dozed off again when he was abruptly awakened by his phone ringing.
"Damn it, I was just about to get it on with Cart Delevingne in my dream. Who the hell is calling and ruining my good dream?"
Daniel picked up the call without even looking at the caller ID, clearly annoyed.
Abel's voice came from the other end of the phone, "Dan, aren't you coming today?"
Daniel, still half asleep, asked, "Go where?"
Abel replied, "The Container Hunt Auction, dude. We're already past ten containers. There are quite a few goodies inside. Matt even made back all the losses from yesterday."
"What the hell?" Daniel sat up suddenly, confused.
"Isn't the auction supposed to be tomorrow?"
Abel replied, "They had to clear the space today, so they added an extra auction. There's an announcement on the official website. Didn't you see it?"
As he got up, Daniel hastily said, "Who the hell checks that crap? Wait for me, I'll be right there."
He hung up the call, quickly got dressed, and rushed out of the house.
In the yard, Daniel was just about to get into his car.
Suddenly, seven or eight burly men sprang out from the surroundings, enclosing him.
Daniel frowned, feeling annoyed. "Wasn't this community supposed to have some of the best security in all of Libertopia? How come I've run into trouble twice in a week?"
Then, a voice came from outside the yard. "The Black Hat Gang handles things, who would dare to hinder us?"
"Moreover, we're not dealing with powerful and influential figures, just a no-name nouveau riche like you. Even if you suddenly disappear, who would care?"
As the voice trailed off, Daniel saw the speaker.
A robust man, leading about seventeen or eighteen people, walked into the yard.
To his surprise, two familiar faces were present, Joseph Thompson, and the big guy who tried to take advantage of Sophia at the bar twice.
How did these two end up together?
Seeing Daniel stunned, Joseph Thompson thought he was afraid and immediately became smug. "Weren't you acting all tough?"
"Scared of what?"
Daniel laughed. "Who said I'm scared?"
"Is this guy part of the Black Hat Gang?" His gaze fell on the robust man, sizing him up.
The muscular man replied indifferently, "Leon, a member of the Black Hat Gang. I'm not one to go looking for trouble, but since Joseph Thompson and Semi are my cousins, and you've bullied them, I can't just sit back and watch."
So, the brother steps in when the younger brother is beaten.
If the brother is beaten, will it be the dad's turn to step in?
Daniel found it amusing and asked, "Oh? And what do you plan to do about it?"
Leon took a deep puff of his cigarette, and after a moment of exhaling smoke, he said, "The house is new, right? Seems like you made quite a lot from the Container Hunt Auction. Why not take a portion of it, give it to my cousins for their medical expenses, and let's call it a day."
Joseph Thompson interjected anxiously, "Cousin, this jerk made tens of millions. We can't just settle for medical expenses!"
Leon shot him a glare, and Joseph Thompson instantly shut up.
His cousin's deterrent power was quite impressive.
Pondering, Daniel asked, "How much are you thinking for medical expenses?"
He didn't believe that the so-called medical expenses were just that simple.
If it were, they wouldn't have come here in full force.
Leon didn't give a specific number: "I can see you're a smart guy. The medical expenses for my two cousins, plus compensation for emotional distress and lost wages, and also our brothers here have been inconvenienced for quite a while today. We'll need to unwind afterwards. You should be able to figure out the costs, right?"
"Calculate what?"
It was clear they were trying to shake him down.
Daniel couldn't be bothered to waste any more words with them, so he said, "I'll cover the medical fees. After all, I did give both of them a good beating, and it felt pretty good too. Ten thousand StellarCoins, a fair price."
With that, Daniel opened the car door and pulled out a stack of dark green bills from a box.
Leon's face remained impassive as he took the money and tossed it to Joseph Thompson.
"Consider this ten thousand as a show of your good faith. Now, hand over another five million," he said calmly, as if they were having a normal conversation.
But the reality was far from that.
Daniel was surrounded by a dozen men, their eyes predatory.
There was no doubt that if Daniel said no, they'd pounce instantly.
Joseph Thompson and the big man named Semi, looked elated.
They had planned on asking Daniel for a million to call it quits, but their cousin had demanded five times that.
There's no denying that's why he was the big brother of the Black Hat Gang!
To speed things up, Joseph Thompson said in a restrained tone, "Daniel, you'd best put away your scheming. My cousin's influence in the Black Hat Gang is considerable. If he wanted to kill you, or even your whole family, the gang would ensure our safety."
"Just so you know, I thought I'd remind you, the Black Hat Gang's power in Libertopia is beyond what a bottom feeder like you could imagine. We've got social elites, government representatives, and even leaders of political parties. You? You're nothing in front of the Black Hat Gang!"
Daniel feigned disbelief. "That powerful?"
Joseph Thompson grinned maliciously. "Of course. So, you'd better hand over the money to Leon, or you won't even know what hit you."
Daniel merely smiled without committing to anything.
He turned and opened the car door again, searching for something inside.
He remembered leaving the old man's card in the car, why couldn't he find it now?
To Joseph Thompson and the others, it seemed like Daniel was fetching the money.
After a while, Daniel turned around.
But there wasn't a single bill in his hand, only a golden card shimmering in the light.
Joseph Thompson was livid.
