Invincible in the Shadows

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Ocean Dungeon 2

"Ugh!" Jin shook his head as he climbed out of the rubble. He looked towards the bank and noticed that the green-skinned-looking guy was running.

"Great Jod, Jin. That's what you get for underestimating people." Jin gritted his teeth in disappointment as he watched the green guy try to run.

He can't believe nobody's managed to actually cause him to be damaged. It was not even a fraction of his HP. It was still shameful to be injured as a viltrumite.

"I had enough of playing around." Jin floated up from the ground, his cape fluttering as he watched the criminal like a hawk. Jin used his skills and flew towards him, 35% faster than his base.

Boom!

Jin zoomed after the guy at Mach 15! His stats were now 115, and they had increased by 50%. His speed left the ground under him cracked as he flew after the guy.

Boom!

"Ugh?..." The green guy looked towards the sky in pain. His eyes widened as blood spurted out of his mouth. His back was bent in a C-shape as Jin's fist impacted his spine.

Crack*

The green guy lost consciousness as he flew away. His body bounced on the ground before hitting a car. The car was dragged back from the force before stopping a few seconds later.

Jin lowered to the ground and looked at his flaming fist. He hit the air so hard and fast that the friction against the air burned.

Luckily, Jin's suit was indestructible, so Jin did not have to get his suit repaired every other week or so.

[Ding!]

[Mission complete!]

[Ocean Dungeon Key is in Inventory!]

Just as Jin was about to take his key out, the sound of the wind being cut was heard from behind him. Jin whipped around, and his fist was stopped by a palm.

Boom!

Crash*

The cars in a 100-meter radius flipped over, and a shockwave broke the windows of nearby buildings. Jin stared as his fist was stopped by his father with ease.

"Jin. Why are you wearing this suit?" Nolan asked as he looked at Jin's suit. He could tell that his son was trying to be a hero. Nolan did not know if he should be proud or angry.

He was not supposed to feel this way!

"Oh, Dad. I awakened my powers. I wanted to be a hero like you, so yeah..." Jin scratched his head awkwardly as he looked away.

His father is massively faster than light. Nolan could snap his neck before he could even think. He was genuinely nervous in front of his father.

"Jin, it's okay. I am not mad at you for being a hero. Come with me." Nolan smiled as he covered up his emotions with a fatherly smile. Jin nodded as he flew after him.

The two flew over the city before they came to a crane. Jin and Nolan stopped there, with Nolan looking at Jin.

"So. The name?" Jin jolted out of his thoughts as his father called out to him. He was confused for a second before his mind drifted to a name that fit him.

"Ashborn..." Jin uttered the name, his face resolute as he did so. Nolan raised his brow at the name, but since Jin was so confident, he shrugged his shoulders.

"That's a good name. So, how about we have a morning training tomorrow?" Nolan asked with a smile. His actual intention was to gauge how strong Jin was.

His real plan is to prepare Earth to breed with the Viltrumites. If Jin or Mark are much weaker than an average Viltrumite, he will not have a reason to stay.

He could move to another planet.

"Sure, Dad. See you at home?" Jin asked in a hurry as he started floating. Nolan frowned as he watched Jin try to fly off in a hurry. His eyes condensed.

"See you at home..." Jin quickly flew away from Nolan. Jin made it to where he crashed and floated above the water.

[Ding!]

[Ocean Dungeon detected!]

[Enter?]

Jin let out a sigh as he looked at the ocean. A glowing door appeared on the water, and Jin placed the key inside the hole in the middle of the door.

"Let's do this..." Jin twisted the key, and he instantly fell into the door. Jin opened his eyes wide as he saw water and coral reefs surround him from all sides.

Roar*

Jin suddenly felt like a freight train smacked into his stomach. His mouth opened from the force of the blow. Jin let out the air and watched as a Shark the size of a football stadium smashed its tail at him.

Boom!

The water exploded like a nuclear bomb went off. Jin's body was knocked towards the surface. Jin broke through and allowed himself to let out a breath.

-1,080 HP

"What the fuck was that?!" Jin asked with a frustrated voice as he held his stomach in pain. He looked at the ocean below, where the shark was still visible.

[Ancient Megalodon Lv.100]

Jin saw an orange name tag, and he gritted his teeth with frustration in his eyes. An orange name tag for a simple shark is not believable.

"That freaking shark must be the size of a football stadium. The slam of the Megalodon hurt him more than even a laser gun.

"Can I even beat something like this?... Probably if I go for the weak spots like the gills, snout and eyes." Jin muttered to himself as he felt his HP regenerate.

5 Minutes later...

Jin got ready as he saw his HP go back to full capacity. His cape fluttered behind him as he stretched out. Jin cracked his joints before he took a deep breath.

"Let's do this!"

Boom!

The sound barrier broke as Jin flew towards the shark. The ocean split even before he touched it from his speed. The Megalodon looked up as it sensed the danger.

Roar!

"Ugh!" Jin struggled to move forward as the water pushed back against him. The Megalodon's roar caused a gigantic amount of energy and water to flow against him.

"ARGHHH!!" Jin screamed as he activated his flying skill and dash. The water in front of his fists broke apart slowly as he started gaining distance on the Megalodon.

Boom!

Jin punched the snout of the Megalodon with full strength, and the water surface exploded, revealing Jin and the Megalodon. The Megalodon struggled as blood leaked out of its snout.

"ARGH!" Jin did not stop. He used the time to pummel the face of the Megalodon, but it proved useless as he felt like he was hitting dense leather.

"WHY! WON'T! YOU! DIE!" Jin felt anger get the best of him as he watched his fists hit the shark, only for it to shrug it off like he was getting tickled.

Boom!

The Megalodon slammer into Jin with its ginormous snout, sending him flying towards the bottom of the ocean. The surface started healing as it closed up.

Jin slammed into the sand, and the ocean ground trembled from the force. Jin opened his eyes and watched as the Megalodon swam down towards him.
