Chapter 41: Just Perspective

"What are we doing here?"

She couldn't hold back her curiosity anymore.

After hearing the sounds of late-night activity, she'd been too embarrassed to speak up—until now.

I scanned the world list, carefully choosing another manga—one I definitely didn't recognize from my first life.

I'd come here hoping to find something related to Naruto or another familiar world, but clearly, it was a waste of time. Not a single one.

Not a single manga here matched anything I knew before.

Of course, I didn't forget to take them with me. After all, who knows? I might need them later.

"Let's go," I murmured, grabbing every book in sight and heading toward the exit.

The whole street was eerily quiet. Not a soul in sight.

Just the way I liked it.

As we walked down the street, something stirred in the shadows. A lone zombie shuffled toward us, its groans filling the air. Before it could even get close, Saeko was already ahead, her katana flashing through the air. One clean slice, and it was done.

Hmmm... The look of satisfaction that briefly crossed her face vanished as quickly as it had come.

She wiped the blood from her blade, her expression returning to its usual calm, but there was something in her eyes—something unsettled. The conflict was still there, gnawing at her from within. She hadn't fully figured it out yet, but eventually, she would have to confront it.

I continued walking down the empty street, stepping over the scattered bodies.

My clones were spread throughout the city, collecting everything useful.

And everything could be useful.

So, everything.

Then, a memory surfaced from one of them.

One had found a hunting ground for Saeko.

After crossing a few more streets, we arrived at an apartment complex.

"This is your testing ground," I said, taking a step forward.

"There are some living people in there. And you have to kill them."

Saeko's grip on her katana tightened slightly. Her eyes flickered with something —anticipation, hesitation, maybe both.

"Living, huh?" she murmured, shifting her stance.

"Survivors, if you prefer the polite term," I said. "But in reality, they're just scavengers, using others as bait to stock their shelves."

Saeko's grip tightened on her sword.

"Remember," I said, shrugging like it was the most obvious thing in the world, "there's no such thing as good or evil—just perspective. To me, they're survivors. To others? Just criminals playing a different game."

I glanced at Saeko, watching for a reaction.

"If you're gonna follow me, you're not just gonna take out the bad guys. Sometimes, it'll be the so-called good ones too—the pure ones, the ones who think they're untouchable."

I tilted my head toward the building.

"But that's a problem for later. Right now? You've got a job to do. Get started."

She hesitated for a few seconds before finally moving.

Killing seemed easy until it wasn't. The act itself was simple, but the weight it left behind? That was another story.

Many couldn't handle the sight of blood after a while—just like Tsunade. But her hemophobia? It wasn't just about gore. It was about loss. The kind that hollows you out from the inside, leaves you trembling at the edge of a blade.

I need to find her.

Right now, only two people should have the most Uzumaki sealing techniques.

One is Sensei. After Uzushiogakure fell, there's no way he'd let all that knowledge disappear. Too useful. Too rare.

The other? Tsunade Senju. Granddaughter of Mito Uzumaki. There's no way Mito didn't leave her something—a legacy. Seals, knowledge—maybe even a copy of the forbidden techniques.

Because if there's one thing I know about Tobirama, it's that he never left things to chance.

He definitely kept a copy of those techniques for his clan.

And since Tsunade is the last direct link to that bloodline, she should have them too.

I need those seals and techniques. And the best source? Tsunade.

Danzo could probably get me everything I need, but why rely on him when I can take matters into my own hands?

But knowing Tsunade, she won't just hand them over. Not without a damn good reason.

That leaves me with two options—cut a deal or… force her.

I'd rather not go with the latter. But I'd be a fool not to keep it on the table.

But that's a problem for later. Right now, my focus is on tomorrow—the next gacha spin.

Seems like the time I spend here counts too. Interesting.

It would be useful to get a template with knowledge in science—something beyond just biology.

Chemistry, engineering, even physics… there's a lot I could do with that.

Of course, I can't afford to fall behind in strength either. A powerful template is just as necessary.

Let's wait and see.
