I am doomed to evil

Chapter 3: Game Changing Slap

After I got hold of that tool, I noticed that it was a little damaged. I tried to turn it on, and it seemed to still work despite its damage and old appearance. It could probably be used once or twice at most, so I had to choose my targets carefully.

I'll start with Victoria's right hand, her loyal servant, my personal maid Clara. Now, I have to summon her, but where is she? Isn't she supposed to be here since she's my personal maid? Well, I remember that she didn't stay in my room, but rather spent her time in Victoria's room and left me alone. I have to go summon her.

As I walked through the halls, I noticed the looks of the servants filled with disdain or surprise. No wonder, Oriana didn't leave her room or carry the coldness that I showed now. But that didn't matter. A short time later, I arrived at Victoria's room. The room was very similar to mine, and there weren't many differences.

I knocked on the door, and I heard Victoria's voice say, "Come in."

Huh? She asked me to come in without even knowing who I was? I opened the door, and everyone's faces were shocked, especially Victoria's. Victoria was completely absent-minded, as if she was thinking about many things.

"What is Oriana doing here? She's never come here before. In fact, she never leaves her room."

I walked in and said coldly, "Victoria, I have just one question. A personal maid is supposed to stay close to her mistress, right?"

She replied in confusion, "Yes, sister, but why such a question?"

I looked at her sharply, "So, what is my maid doing here?"

Her eyes widened, and soon tears began to fall from her face as she said in a trembling voice, "Sister... We were all talking. I gathered the maids together so that we could rest, talk to each other, and get closer to everyone. How about you join us?"

"I didn't come here to join you," I replied coldly. "Isn't it supposed that when you take my maid, you ask my permission first? Victoria, I'll just tell you one thing: you'd better not come near me or my things."

Victoria began to shed her usual crocodile tears, and said in a tearful voice, "Sister, why are you so cruel? All I wanted was the maids' comfort."

I looked at her falling tears, but I didn't feel any sympathy. How many times had I seen this scene before? The same innocent face, the same fake tremor in her voice…

The servants looked at me with contempt, and began to comfort Victoria. What a disgusting sight. Seeing her pretend to cry like this… How disgusting. Now, everyone sees me as even more evil than before, but I don't care.

I turned to Clara and ordered her to follow me. She was looking at Victoria before she left, when Clara turned to Victoria as if she was waiting for her permission, I couldn't help but smile sarcastically. Just as I expected, she wasn't my maid as much as she was hers.

After I left, the servants began to calm Victoria down.

"Miss Victoria, don't let that make you sad. I'm sure Miss Oriana will be punished for her evil deeds and will regret it later."

"Don't say that about my sister," Victoria replied with a gentle smile. "I'm sure she didn't mean it. My sister is just bad at expressing her feelings and choosing her words… I don't know what changed her, but I hope she returns to the way she was."

"Miss Victoria, you're so kind!" One of the servants replied.

"Yes, our lady is the best and purest. We'll leave you to rest now."

"Thank you," Victoria replied gently.

As soon as the door closed, that innocent aura disappeared, and her true face was revealed. Her gentle eyes a few moments ago were filled with deadly coldness, and her lips that had spoken the gentle words a moment ago were bitten in anger.

"What's going on with Oriana? Why is she acting like this? She was supposed to stay away and not take any action. She was just a toy in my hands, and her submission made it easier for me to carry out my plans. But now... Although she seems more evil, I don't know if my plans will go as I want. I will rely a little on Clara, maybe she can bring her back to what she was."

I entered my room with Clara behind me. I sat on my chair and ordered her to close the door. Then I looked at her coldly.

"Clara, I want to ask you. Yesterday, I ordered you to prepare the bath for me, but I found it cold. Today, when I woke up, I didn't find my breakfast and I didn't find you here. Can you tell me why?"

She looked at me with extreme contempt and said coldly, "Since when have I been making you a hot bath or making you breakfast? My role is just to make you lunch so you don't starve to death, Oriana."

I smiled sarcastically, then burst out laughing, "Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha!"

Clara's shoulders trembled slightly, she probably didn't expect my reaction, but I continued to laugh coldly.

I raised my hand to my mouth and wiped away a small tear that had crept from my eyes due to laughter. Then I looked at her sharply,

"What do you mean? How can you talk to me like that? You're just a lowly maid, how dare you address me like that? Aren't you even afraid?"

She smiled very cunningly and said to me, "Afraid? Huh! Of what exactly? No one cares about you here, miss. Whether you're alive or not, it's all the same to them. No one will believe you even if you tell them what's happening, so you'd better return obedient and do whatever is asked of you. Otherwise… you might get another burn like the one on your shoulder. Don't forget, you're just a disgrace to this duchy."

As soon as I heard her words, I couldn't help myself. I slapped her hard, and she fell to the ground. I heard the sound of her hitting the floor, and I saw her eyes widen in shock, but she quickly pulled herself together.

She raised her hand to her cheek, as a blush of shock began to appear on her skin. She bit her lips as if trying to suppress her anger, but she couldn't hide the slight trembling of her hand.

"Shame? I've heard that word a lot, but I won't let a lowly servant like you say it to me."

She looked at me angrily, then smiled mockingly: "Do you think your behavior will make you a stronger person? "You made yourself an easy prey."

She started to cry fake tears, her eyes showed no sign of real sadness, she was just watching me from the corner of her eyelashes,

She waited for my reaction.

Suddenly, because of the noise, the door opened violently, and hit the wall hard, making the air in the room suddenly heavy.

Oscar stood at the entrance, his cold eyes quickly scanning the room, before settling on me.

His body was tense, as if he was about to pounce, and his voice came out sharper than I expected:

"What is all this commotion here?"

Victoria entered after him, placing her hand on her chest and then hurried inside, her eyes shining with fake concern, but I saw the anticipation in her features. As if she was waiting for the right moment to blame me.

"Sister, why are you doing this? Clara didn't do anything!"

I continued anxiously: "If you hit her because she came to me, you should have hit me, not treated her so harshly!"

I saw Clara burst into tears as she said in a trembling voice: "She only slapped me because I asked her to be nicer to everyone... I didn't expect her to do this to me!"

I looked at her in surprise, I wanted to laugh again, but I held myself back. I just wanted to know how she had the ability to pretend to cry so easily.

Then I heard a faint whisper from one of the maids standing near the door: 'Miss Oriana is acting like a wild beast... No wonder everyone hates her.' She didn't bother to lower her voice too much. She wanted me to hear.

Before I could respond, I felt a strong grip grab my wrist. I raised my head to see Oscar approaching me, his face grim, his fingers squeezing so hard that I felt a sharp pain.

He said in a stern tone: "This is the second trouble you've caused in just the second day! It hasn't been long since the previous trouble, and yet you keep repeating the same mistakes without any remorse. Haven't you learned anything?"

I looked at him directly and said coldly: "You came to defend her without even asking me what happened? I didn't need to ask you to know that you would stand against me as usual, did you? As expected… You never considered me your sister, did you, young duke?"

He froze for a moment, and looked at me with surprise mixed with anger. This was the first time I hadn't called him "brother," but he seemed to prefer it.

His fingers pressed harshly on my wrist, as if trying to grind the bones beneath him. I felt a sharp prick extending to the tips of my fingers, but I held my breath and showed no weakness. He said in a cold voice: "Oriana, don't you realize that you are getting more evil by the day? I can't take this anymore."

He pressed my wrist violently until I couldn't take it anymore, and I shouted: "Stop! "That hurts!"

At that moment, another hand reached out and grabbed my wrist, with no less strength than Oscar's. But this time... it was a completely different coldness, a coldness that carried with it an unfamiliar feeling, as if it was warning me before I even raised my head to see who it belonged to.
