Honkai Impact 3rd: Catching the Herrscher of Sentience at the Start

Chapter 247: Chapter 242: Did I Say You Could Leave?

Meanwhile, in another world, Fu Shi scratched her head in confusion as she looked up at the clear blue sky. Clenching her small fists, she muttered with a puzzled expression,

"Hmm? Why do I feel like I just beat up Otto…? Could it be that I haven't done it in too long, and my hands are getting itchy?"

"Ugh! Hmph~" Otto clutched his head and knelt on one knee, his forehead covered in cold sweat, letting out a deep groan.

Void Archives watched Otto's pained expression and chuckled mischievously, "Looks like someone has stumbled in their area of expertise. I won't say who, hehe~"

"Huff…"

-----------------------

Otto took a deep breath, his eyelids slightly drooping. He felt as if both his body and soul had been drained of energy, leaving him with nothing but deep exhaustion.

"I used Fenghuang Down to check his memories..."

"But deep within his consciousness, there was a force similar to Fenghuang Down, constantly interfering with its function, preventing me from fully controlling it."

Otto covered his somewhat sullen face, his gaze cold as he looked at the dazed and lifeless 'Nameless.' In his eyes, the person before him was no different from a corpse.

Resolutely, he said,

"In that case..."

"I will have to research the Herrscher of Death's core myself to find a way to resurrect Kallen."

Saying this, Otto stepped behind 'Nameless,' thrusting his hand through the man's chest, retrieving the Silent Gem from within.

Gazing at the gem in his palm, Otto clenched his hand tightly around it before retracting his arm. 'Nameless' collapsed powerlessly to the ground.

"Next is this miraculous body..."

Otto put away the Silent Gem and looked down at the barely conscious 'Nameless,' his eyes narrowing as he prepared to take the body back to Schicksal.

Just as Otto's hand was about to touch him, 'Nameless' suddenly vanished from where he lay.

Otto froze, his pupils shrinking sharply as he noticed an additional shadow on the ground.

Instinctively, he leaped backward, gripping a newly-formed Mimic Judgment Of Shamash in his hand, warily eyeing the figure before him.

His gaze then filled with shock—the mask on the other's face was too familiar. So familiar that every soulium fragment in his body throbbed with unprecedented phantom pain.

Pain! It hurt too much!

"Sir, since you want this body, I'll give it to you. I have matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave."

Seeing the other remain silent, a heavy look flashed in Otto's eyes. He knew that with his barely maintained Mimic Judgment Of Shamash, he could not contend with the opponent. Thus, he prepared to abandon 'Nameless' and retreat.

Fu Lin paid no attention to Otto. Instead, he crouched down to examine 'Nameless,' his gaze shifting to the gaping hole in his chest. Then, he glanced sideways at Otto, who was attempting to flee, his voice low,

"Did I say you could leave?"

Otto's face darkened as he tightened his grip on the Judgment Of Shamash. "Sir, what else do you want?"

"You can leave, but leave the item behind."

Fu Lin straightened his posture, rubbing his wrist before swiftly appearing in front of Otto. With a punch aimed at Otto's abdomen, the force of his fist stirred the nearby leaves.

The speed was too fast for Otto to react—his eyes widened as his body curled up like a shrimp. A churning sensation erupted in his stomach, nearly forcing him to his knees.

".....Pfft! Cough, cough, cough!"

"Ha!... I will never give it to you. No one can stand in the way of my reunion with Kallen... not even a god."

Otto wiped the liquid from the corner of his mouth, his body swaying unsteadily.

But within his emerald eyes, determination flickered. Summoning a second Judgment Of Shamash, he combined them into the Greatsword of Shamash and pointed it at Fu Lin.

However, Fu Lin gave Otto no chance to act cool, delivering a punch to Otto's soulium face before unleashing a flurry of relentless, rain-like blows.

"....Such a familiar feeling."

The conjured Greatsword of Shamash slipped from Otto's grasp, stabbing into the ground. Lying on the ground, Otto—perhaps out of some inexplicable whim—deactivated his pain suppression system. As pain spread through his body, he revealed a hint of contentment before his consciousness faded away.

"Hey! Hey! Wake up!!!"

Fu Lin stopped his punches, his face shifting as he grabbed Otto by the collar and slapped him repeatedly. But there was no response.

"Damn, his consciousness escaped... I forgot to lock it down... That Silent Gem... It's not here... Even though I clearly saw him place it in his chest..."

Fu Lin searched thoroughly, but all he found was the smooth soulium body lying there. The large gem had vanished without a trace, leaving him with no one to complain to.

"The gem is gone, but at least there's still the Greatsword of Shamash..."

Fu Lin shifted his gaze to the sword embedded in the ground. Gripping the hilt, he pulled it free, only for it to dissolve into particles and disappear into the air.

"..."

"...No big deal, at least I still have Otto's soulium body... What the hell do I need this for?! Can I use it as a doll or a punching bag?!"

Frustrated, Fu Lin kicked Otto's soul soulium repeatedly. Then, as the power of his projection dissipated, his mind blurred, and he reluctantly stored the body away.

Far above, at the Schicksal headquarters...

Otto stepped out of a soulium body storage chamber, casually grabbing a bishop's robe and putting it on. His gaze then landed on the Silent Gem resting on the table.

"Heh, I may not have large-scale teleportation like Anti-Entropy, but sending small objects is still possible. Such a pity about that specialized soulium body of mine..."

"Amber, how is K423 doing?"

Amber, "K423 is living well in Siberia with Mr. Siegfried and an unknown youth."

"I see... Continue monitoring."

With his legs crossed, Otto tapped his fingers lightly against the table, his face emotionless as he stared at the screen displaying Kiana, who was grinning foolishly while building a snowman. Who knew what he was thinking?
