Harem Streamer System: Every Crime I Broadcast Wins Me a Superheroine

Chapter 168: Group Confrontation

The streets of Metro City were alive with the usual midday chaos — cars honking, pedestrians bustling, street vendors calling out their best deals — but for some reason, all eyes seemed to drift toward the trio walking down the sidewalk.

More specifically, they were drawn to her.

Dark Elf trailed a few steps behind Gwen and Jake as she idly munched on her bag of chips, completely indifferent to the attention she was getting. She was a rare beauty, with dark, rich skin that practically gleamed under the city lights, and a body so well-proportioned that men practically forgot what they were doing the moment they laid eyes on her.

"Damn… her skin looks so chocolate and sexy…"

"On God I'd leave my old ass wife for her."

"Dang, I married early. Sigh~"

"I wonder what those thighs look like…"

One of the men was already licking his lips.

"I can imagine it… I need a bite."

"And that hair…" one more added. "So pretty…"

But Dark Elf? She was simply too focused on her chips to even notice.

In fact, she was so absorbed in them that there were moments when Gwen and Jake themselves forgot she was even there.

Jake pulled at his hoodie as thick sweat trickled down the back of his neck.

"Man, I can't believe Scott isn't around to drive us to the damn Admissions Office in his cool ass Lamborghini Hurancán for your stupid letter of approval."

Gwen's frown was immediate.

"Hey! It's not stupid! I worked my ass off to get into Met U, so don't start talking dumb shit like that, okay?!"

She already had a fist half-raised, ready to deck him in his stupid face.

With no shame whatsoever, Jake had already flinched back, hands up in surrender like a wimp.

Gwen sighed heavily and rolled her eyes to shake off her annoyance as she looked away.

"Honestly…"

She closed her eyes in frustration.

"If I wanted to go with anyone, it'd be Scott. But Emma said she asked him something personal yesterday, and he got offended about it…"

She furrowed her brows in mild annoyance.

"And it's not the first time he's doing unnecessary things like this, you know… disappeared after getting offended or whatever. Tch, he's such a child."

Jake gave her a look. A very specific look.

The "pot calling the kettle black" kind of look.

Gwen narrowed her eyes. "What?!"

Jake said nothing and just looked away, pulling at his collar for fresh air.

A moment passed before he finally spoke.

"Actually, I'm confused. Last I checked, you needed extra high school credits to even be eligible for Met U, and while you were working toward it… you kinda stopped attending classes. And missed a lot of tests."

He squinted suspiciously at her.

"So… how the hell did you manage to get approved?"

Gwen instantly broke into a nervous sweat.

Her eyes darted around like a liar who'd just been caught red-handed, and her teeth clamped down on her bottom lip as she tried her damn best not to answer.

But then—she let out a long, dramatic sigh.

"Ugh, fine! I'll say it!"

She threw her hands up.

"Scott helped me hack into the school's database and gave me the scores I needed to get accepted back in, okay?! Is your nosy ass happy now?!"

She looked both pissed and relieved at the same time.

Jake blinked.

"Damn, Scott really did that?"

He looked genuinely surprised.

"I actually thought he'd be like, 'I'm not gonna abuse my power for something like that…' yunno?"

His voice took on a half-mocking, half-serious tone.

"With great power comes great responsibility type shit."

Gwen just stared at him like he had three heads.

"The fuck made such a dumb statement?"

She deadpanned like it was second nature.

"They better be dead with a mindset like that. Those are the kind of people who see a guy robbing a store and think, 'Lemme be a hero' — and trust me, their dumbass always gets shot… tch, they probably have a loving wife and nephew waiting back home for 'em too."

Her expression was pure irritation, like she was recalling something personal.

Jake tilted his head slightly, taking in her tone, but ultimately shrugged it off.

"Well… maybe I'll beg Nightwatch — aka Scott — aka my best friend and brother — to help me out in case I screw up our final exams…"

He winced, already imagining the worst. "Oof."

The way Gwen suddenly burst out laughing caught him off guard.

She tried to stifle it, but failed spectacularly.

Jake gave her a side-eye. "What's so funny?"

Gwen covered her mouth with one hand as her smug face was barely hidden behind her fingers.

"Oh, nothing. Absolutely nothing…"

She spoke airily.

"It's just… I don't think Scott would go out of his way to do that for you. The only reason he did it for me…"

She lowered her hand and smirked.

"… Is because I'm his wi—I mean… girlfriend."

She sounded so damn proud of herself.

If Dark Elf didn't know the context, she'd think Gwen was one of those rich girls bragging about the latest Porsche their Daddy bought them.

Jake's eye twitched.

He folded his arms with a scowl.

"Tch. You're talking about 'girlfriend privileges' like you're actually Scott's girlfriend when everyone knows it's Miss Graves. Can't fool me, blonde bitch…"

He scoffed.

"As if Scott would date a bully like you—"

"HEY!"

Gwen turned red-hot in an instant, raising her fist to absolutely obliterate him.

Jake jerked back in fear—then paused.

A sudden thought hit him like a truck.

"Wait…"

His brows furrowed.

"Are you… are you actually serious right now? You're really dating Scott?!"

Gwen slapped a hand over her face. "Fuck."

Dark Elf, who had been silently munching away at her chips, leaned in.

"You're not supposed to tell him yet…"

She muttered before popping more chips into her mouth.

Gwen groaned. "Yeah, yeah, I forgot…"

She felt so stupid.

Like that one student who was confident during the exam but, after hearing her friends discuss the answers, suddenly realized she had written complete dog poop.

『FACK! I forgot that Scott told us to keep the whole dating two women thing a secret until he's ready to explain it to Jake… Ugh, he's going to be so mad. Sigh—well, nothing a good blowjob can't fix, right?』

Jake paled. His brain was shutting down.

Then—his entire face twitched violently.

"Wait—wait—THAT CAN'T BE POSSIBLE!"

He stumbled back like the world around him was starting to crumble.

"THERE'S NO WAY SCOTT IS ACTUALLY—"

His voice cracked.

"DA-, DA-, DATING BOTH GWEN AND MISS GRAVES AT THE SAME TIME──?!"

His hands gripped his head as if trying to keep his skull from exploding.

At this point, everyone on the street was staring at him like he was a full-blown lunatic.

And honestly? He looked the part.

Gwen panicked as she rushed forward to slap a hand over his mouth.

"SHHHHH! Shut up!"

Jake's wide, terrified eyes locked onto hers, and he slapped both his hands over his own mouth.

"Mhm! Mhm!"

He nodded frantically.

Still casually eating her chips, Dark Elf tilted her head.

"Interesting."

This was not how Jake expected today to go.

His best friend was a shameless womanizer — to have many side chicks was one thing — but to confidently convince two women to share him was another level in its own.

『You sir… are a god…』

Jake had nothing but utter respect for his friend.

Gwen's phone buzzed sharply in her pocket.

She snatched it out and pressed it to her ear.

"Hello?"

The voice on the other end was unfamiliar.

"Is this Gwen Mercer?"

This person sounded serious and composed — she almost taught it was the Admissions Office reminding her to come pick up her letter.

Gwen frowned, tilting her head. "Uh… yeah. What's up?"

"Can you and your companions come to the Red-Blox Building on 5th? I'm waiting there with your friend—Emma Graves. It's very important, please…"

Gwen took a step forward as if moving would help her process faster.

"Wait—what? Is something wrong with Emma? She just left the house a few minutes ago, so I don't see how—"

"Scott's in trouble."

That was all she needed to hear.

She hung up immediately, spun around, and broke into a sprint like she was gunning for Olympic gold.

Jake blinked. "What the hell? Where's she—hey! Gwen!"

Instead of answering, she just waved an arm frantically to signal them to follow.

Jake groaned, but he chased after her.

Still munching her chips, Dark Elf let out a slow sigh before taking off at her own leisurely pace.

・・・

Red-Blox Building – Inside

By the time they reached the top floor, Gwen was barely winded, but Jake? He was half-dead against the wall, gasping like a fish out of water.

"I'm… never… running… again…!"

Dark Elf? Not even a drop of sweat.

She was still casually eating her chips.

But none of them had time to process their exhaustion.

Because right in front of them, thousands of holographic screens lit up the space, displaying complex space-time calculations, equations, maps, and—was that a heat signature? Indubitably.

Emma was moving at superspeed, scribbling equations so fast that the paper was damn near catching fire. Beside her, a girl they didn't recognize stood with arms crossed, sharp-eyed and focused.

Gwen didn't hesitate. She stepped forward.

"Alright, what the hell's going on? And why does it look like the two of you are final year students trying to finish the scheme of work for the entire scholastic season?"

The girl — Scottie — turned toward her and said—

"No time for a proper introduction. But I'm Scott Evelyn McQueen's little sister—Scottie."

Gwen blinked. "Scott has a sister?"

Still trying to catch his breath, Jake let out a weak laugh.

"His sister's name is Scottie?"

Dark Elf swallowed a mouthful of chips.

"Wait—Scott's middle name is Evelyn? Pffft—lame."

Scottie ignored them.

"I brought you here because your lives are in danger."

Gwen's smirk faded. "From what?"

Scottie's eyes darkened.

"Not what. Who. And that 'who' is Scott."

Gwen felt a chill crawl up her spine. "My Scott?"

Not even pausing in her writing, Emma muttered—

"Not your Scott. Our Scott. Get it right."

Jake pushed off the wall as he waved a dismissive hand.

"Okay, hold up. First of all, little girl… Scott would never be a threat to us. Second, no offense, but how's a kid like you supposed to protect us?"

Scottie sighed, rubbing her temples.

"Your Scott wouldn't. But the one coming for us isn't your Scott. It's—"

A powerful whoosh roared from outside, cutting her off.

Everyone snapped their heads toward the sound.

Scottie's expression hardened.

"He found us."

And then—

BOOM.

The ceiling EXPLODED.

A shockwave blasted through the room and sent everyone flying—slamming into walls, desks, chairs.

Glass shattered. Metal bent like paper.

Only Scottie managed to shield herself with a forcefield.

In the center of the destruction, crouched on one knee with a fist buried into the floor, was him.

Super Scott.

He looked almost the same as before — except for the luxurious black trench coat draped over his shoulders like a king's mantle. He slowly stood, taking his time to display the unshakable confidence that said no one in the room was even remotely a challenge to him.

His eyes locked onto Scottie. "Come here, Scottie."

His voice was calm. Too calm.

Scottie didn't move. Instead, she took a step back.

Super Scott's face twitched. Then, he shouted—

"COME HERE!!"

Gwen forced herself to stand as blood trickled from a deep cut on her forehead.

"Scott, if this is some kinda mind-control thing, or—"

Super Scott didn't even hesitate.

His fist lashed out with lightning speed — aiming straight for Gwen's skull.

At the last possible millisecond—she vanished.

Whoosh.

Super Scott's punch hit nothing but air.

Emma had grabbed Gwen and zipped across the room in the blink of an eye.

Super Scott didn't even react before—

SHING! SHING! SHING!

Three shurikens flew at him.

They pinged harmlessly off his chest.

He turned as his deadly eyes narrowed. Enjoy exclusive content from My Virtual Library Empire

Dark Elf stood there, another set of shurikens in hand.

Super Scott smiled. "Guess I'll start with you."

Scottie's voice rang out. "DON'T DO IT!"

Super Scott turned back to her as his face softened.

"Don't worry about these meat sacks, my love."

He smiled, warm, almost angelic.

"You really have no idea how much fun it is to rip people apart… like animals."

The way he said it — so casual, so normal — it made Scottie's stomach churn.

She clenched her fists. "Stop this, Scott!"

He took a slow step forward as the shattered glass and debris crunched beneath his boots.

"I can do whatever I want, in my world, in this world… no one has the power to tell me otherwise."

His fingers caressed a gleaming, ornate ring on his hand.

"I'm not going back. I don't give a damn about Father and his garbage."

Now standing right before Scottie, he lifted a hand and gently touched her chin.

A shiver ran through her.

His voice dropped to a whisper.

"But this world… will be mine."

Scottie swallowed hard.

『This isn't him. This isn't my brother. I know that… yet I still don't feel like I could win him… I'm scared…』

Super Scott clapped his hands together softly.

"Now… give me The Artifact, Scottie."

He held out his hand like a gentleman.

Scottie took a step back. "And if I don't?"

Super Scott smiled.

A slow, menacing grin.

To him, the answer was very simple.

"Then I'll kill you."
