Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Legion of Shadows

Eryndal wakes up with a start, his body drenched in sweat. The chains binding his wrists clink in the heavy silence of the night. His eyes, filled with confusion and terror, search for a moment for reality.

— "That dream... It wasn't just a dream. It wasn't just a vision. It's part of something greater, something more dangerous..."

The chains rattle as he struggles to rise. His legs tremble beneath him, but he persists. The echo of his heavy breath fills the air, growing increasingly oppressive. Through the bars of his cell, he catches a faint movement. A familiar figure steps into view.

— "You had that vision, didn't you? The emperor's dream."

Eryndal turns, surprised.

— "Alessia... How...?"

She approaches, an enigmatic smile on her lips. Behind her, two other figures emerge from the shadows: Elion, the silent mage with silver hair, and Darek, the taciturn warrior with a sharp gaze.

"It's no accident. We know what you see. We've seen the signs too."

"The emperor's dream is a heavy burden to bear. But it won't let you escape your fate. We're here to help you."

— Eryndal looks at his companions, confused and moved. "Why me? Why choose me to bear this burden?"

A heavy silence falls over the room. Elion opens his mouth to answer, his voice soft and measured, yet marked by ancient wisdom.

— "Because you've awakened the Seventh Eye, Eryndal. The power within you surpasses the understanding of mortals. You've seen what no one should see... and you are now bound to that vision. What you saw wasn't a dream. It was a call. A warning."

— "The call of the Seven Gods..." (Eryndal says)

A strange mist fills the room as Alessia places her hand on the cell's bars. Her fingers shimmer with mysterious energy. She murmurs a few words in an ancient tongue.

— "The time has come. We must leave before the guards discover your escape. There is more to this dream than you think. The emperor is tied to an ancient prophecy, and you, Eryndal, are at the heart of the coming war."

Darek, his dark eyes flashing with anger, adds, "We don't have time to explain every detail. But know this: this dream is the key to destroying the emperor."

The cell bars creak open with a metallic sound. Eryndal stands there, alongside his companions. He feels the echo of power in his veins, more intense than ever. His chains have fallen, but he knows this is only the beginning.

"So, what do we do now?" (Eryndal says).

— "We're going to the Arch of Destiny. There, all the answers lie. But we must hurry. The emperor won't wait."

The group quietly exits the palace's dark corridors. They slip through the shadows, their movements synchronized, their shared purpose giving them newfound strength. They reach the outside, and the sky, tinged with red, seems to respond to their presence.

Darek looks at the horizon, a serious expression on his face. "This is just the beginning. The war against the emperor and his disciples is inevitable. But you're not alone, Eryndal. We fight with you."

As they head toward the Arch of Destiny, a figure emerges from the shadows far off on the horizon. A hooded man, carrying a large sword. A gleam of red light reflects off the steel of his weapon.

— "What if that man... is the one from the dream?" Eryndal wonders.

— Elion, in a calm but urgent voice, murmurs, "We don't have time. Prepare yourself. The one you saw might be our enemy. But he could also be the key."

The group walks steadily toward the horizon. The hooded figure slowly draws closer, his cold gaze fixed on them. The wind howls fiercely. The future seems uncertain, but the fate of Eryndal and his companions is now sealed.
