Chapter 182: 181. Yoink.
I gazed down at the boy and his dog, both sleeping peacefully. Nagato Uzumaki. His once-ashen skin had begun regaining color, and his breathing was steady. The Rinnegan's negative side effects being healed and working its way out of his system.
In the Naruto world transplanted eyes often came with nasty side effects, extreme chakra drain, life force draining, exhaustion, even death.
In my palm rested the very eyes that had dictated his fate—the Rinnegan that once belonged to Madara Uchiha, before being implanted into this child. Without hesitation, I summoned my Dark Devilgod Tiger and activated Assimilate.
The moment the Rinnegan dissolved into energy and entered my body, a sharp, prickling sensation flared behind my eyes. Knowledge and instincts flooded my mind, as natural and automatic as blinking or breathing.
I exhaled slowly, flexing my fingers as the information settled.
Sharingan… Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan… Rinnegan.
In less than five minutes, I had completely fucked over Madara Uchiha and Zetsu. Without the Rinnegan, their master plan was dead before it even began.
I closed my eyes briefly, adjusting to the changes, then reopened them. A smirk tugged at my lips as I examined my reflection in a nearby mirror.
However something was off.
I instinctively understood what had happened. The Sharingan, especially the Mangekyō, evolved based on desire—on what the wielder wanted most.
And out of all the Mangekyō abilities, the one I had always admired above all others was—
Kamui.
Obito's warping ability. His spatial dominance. His intangibility. It had always been my favorite. Now, my new Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan had evolved to grant me a version far superior to Obito's.
I activated it experimentally, feeling the space around me distort at my will. No drawbacks. No limitations. Just absolute control.
Then, I turned my attention to my newly acquired Rinnegan.
"Amenotejikara?"
A chuckle escaped me. Sasuke's teleportation ability—the power to instantly swap places with objects or people. It complemented Kamui perfectly. If Obito had possessed this alongside his intangibility, he would have been nearly untouchable.
Now, I had both.
And that wasn't all.
A shift in my Susanoo revealed something new—two legendary weapons materializing in my hands, gleaming with ethereal energy.
The Totsuka Blade. A sword that could seal anything it pierced into an eternal genjutsu.
The Yata Mirror. A shield said to nullify any attack.
"Hah… whatever techniques Madara had before? Gone. These are mine now."
The irony was delicious.
In a single move, I had:
— Destroyed Madara and Zetsu's master plan.
— Erased any chance of Nagato becoming Pein.
— Claimed an ability superior to Obito's Kamui.
— Prevented Itachi from ever obtaining his legendary weapons.
Madara had spent decades scheming, orchestrating his grand plan for immortality and godhood.
And I had torn it all apart in minutes.
My gaze flickered back to Nagato. His small frame still lay unconscious, his body steadily recovering under the tower's healing effects.
Unlike Tang San, this kid wasn't inherently evil. Nagato had been dealt a shitty hand from the start—used, manipulated, and turned into a weapon before he ever had the chance to make his own choices.
I had liked Pein as a villain. He had presence, conviction—he wasn't mindlessly evil. But the moment he killed his teacher? Yeah, fuck that guy. That was when I stopped sympathizing.
But right now, Nagato was still just a kid. A kid who could still be saved.
"Now what should I do with him and his mutt? Also… Yahiko is still out there."
It didn't take long to track him down. The last of the Akatsuki trio. He was unconscious before he even realized I was there.
Yahiko was a good kid. An idealist, but a good kid. And I had no doubt that if I left Nagato out in the open, Zetsu would sniff him out sooner or later.
Which meant I needed to keep them hidden.
"Ah… what a drag." I scratched the back of my head before sighing. Guess I'm adopting some orphans now.
I took out a vial of Fountain of Youth water, tipping some into Yahiko's mouth to ensure his body was in perfect condition. Then, I returned to Konan.
She sat there, looking full, sleepy, and far more relaxed than before.
"Feeling better?" I asked with a grin.
She nodded, blinking drowsily.
"How about you get some sleep?" I flicked my wand, and in an instant, the ragged clothes she wore transformed into a simple but clean dress.
She froze, eyes wide in shock. "H-How did you do that?"
"Magic." I grinned. "Come on, let's get you somewhere comfortable."
At my will, the room shifted, revealing a cozy bedroom with a warm bed.
Konan looked around in quiet awe.
"Just rest here for a while," I told her. "Gem."
A small figure manifested beside me—my Pagoda Spirit.
"Yes, Master!" she chirped, standing at attention.
"Look after Konan and the other two, okay?"
"Understood!" she declared, slipping into babysitter mode.
With that taken care of, I had one last thing to do.
Stepping outside the pagoda, I remained within the Naruto world, my newly awakened eyes shimmering as I activated my next move.
'Summoning: Gedo Statue.'
The earth trembled.
A massive wooden hand erupted from the ground, followed by the grotesque, skeletal form of the Gedo Statue pulling itself free.
I stepped forward, resting a hand against its surface.
And stored it directly into my inner world.
"Yoink."
The husk of the Ten-Tails was now mine.
It didn't matter if Zetsu somehow retrieved another set of Rinnegan—without the Gedo Statue, their plan was still dead in the water.
And once I refined it and placed my own spiritual mark on it? It would be completely mine.
I had no doubt both Madara and Zetsu were losing their fucking minds at this point in time.
With a thought I turned completely invisible and vanished from the spot I was standing. I had already completely absorbed a white Zetsu who was in charge of watching over Nagato so I had it's memories. I knew where Madara was.
