I walked with Eryk in my arms, ignoring all the stares directed at me. Since it was lunchtime, many people were on the way. I arrived home and went inside, only to find two members of the Familia.

They knew about my relationship with Eryk, so they weren't surprised to see us together. The problem was that Eryk was unconscious in my arms. Since he was a tall man, it was quite a funny sight.

"What happened?" one of the women asked.

"Eryk passed out while training with Tsubaki. He's fine."

"..." The woman must have thought, "Wow, that training must be tough". Her friend followed her outside. Anna and Yuki—those two were always together. I left them behind, and shortly after, Mikari appeared.

She saw Eryk in my arms and immediately became anxious.

"What happened? Why is he like that? Don't tell me someone attacked him… and you allowed it?"

"Calm down, he just passed out while training with Tsubaki."

"So she's the one who knocked him out! I need to have a serious talk with her."

"What's this? I didn't know you cared so much about him." I looked at her suspiciously as she continued following me.

"Of course I care about him. I trained him before, remember?"

"..." She didn't help him much. "But it's fine, there's no need to worry. I'll put him to rest."

Eryk was breathing calmly. He seemed to be enjoying this "ride."

I smiled instinctively.

Mikari saw my smile and stopped following me.

"The important thing is that he's okay. Oh, and don't overthink it. No need to be jealous!"

"Who's jealous?!" I shouted.

"Sure, sure. I only care about him because he's a friend, don't worry."

"I didn't ask!"

"Hahaha." Mikari laughed while I huffed in frustration.

When I reached the bedroom door, I struggled to open it and stepped inside. I placed Eryk on the bed and covered him with a blanket. Surprisingly, it wasn't too hot—the weather was quite pleasant.

"..."

I looked at Eryk's face for a few seconds before pressing a kiss to his lips.

His lips curved into a smile after my kiss, making my heart race.

"Even in his sleep, he knows it's me."

"Mmm..." Eryk mumbled some words. The last word that came out of his mouth was...

"Luana."

The moment I heard that word, I instantly realized it was a woman's name. It was a woman's name. I froze for a few seconds, staring at Eryk as rage started bubbling inside me again.

"I need to control myself... I have to control myself… Huff~~" I took a deep breath, but I couldn't hold it in.

"Who the hell is Luana?!" I yelled, startling Eryk awake immediately.

His eyes widened as he looked at my furious face.

Completely confused, he asked, "What am I doing here? Wasn't I training with Tsubaki?"

Thinking he was trying to change the subject, I became even more irritated. I grabbed his shirt collar and looked him straight in the eyes.

"Tell me right now—who is Luana?"

Eryk's expression shifted the moment he heard my question.

For a brief moment, his face darkened, but then he quickly returned to normal.

"..."

He remained silent for a few seconds before finally answering.

"My ex-girlfriend."

I had no idea Eryk had an ex-girlfriend. That revelation completely shocked me. He had been hiding this from me all this time? He never told me I was his first woman, but I believed I was.

So Eryk wasn't a virgin when we slept together for the first time?

I had thought I was taking his virginity.

"You... never told me you had an ex-girlfriend."

"She's dead," Eryk said.

Countless scenarios started running through my mind.

Had Eryk only gotten close to me because his ex-girlfriend died? Was I just a way for him to forget her?

I started to feel depressed, but Eryk's next words eased my worries.

"That woman betrayed me. I hate her. I despise her with everything I have. If I could, I would have killed her myself."

His expression twisted.

He emitted an aura I had never seen before.

An aura of pure hatred and a thirst for blood.

I had never seen him like this before.

I stepped closer and embraced him.

"I didn't know you had been through that."

"Don't worry, it's fine. The only thing I feel now is anger and disgust. I never should have gotten involved with that woman. It was my only mistake."

"..."

"I would never do something like that to you."

"I know you would never betray me. And I will never betray you."

Eryk's words were sincere, but for some reason, I couldn't shake this uneasy feeling.

Hephaestus let go of me and looked into my eyes. She caressed my face before saying, "I'm sorry for getting so jealous. When I heard you say her name..."

"It's okay. If I heard you saying another man's name in your sleep, I'd be mad too," I laughed.

"I would never do that since the only person in my dreams is you."

Hephaestus kissed me before suddenly pushing me onto the bed and climbing on top of me.

"What do you say we do it now?"

"In the middle of the afternoon?"

"Well, I don't have anything else to do today, so I can keep going for hours. You're not in the mood?"

"To be honest, I'm a little tired..."

I had been training with Tsubaki for hours. Also, I had taken a kick to the chin and passed out, only waking up here with Hephaestus.

Damn it, why did I have that dream?

At least I took the opportunity to clear things up. Judging by Hephaestus's reaction, she didn't suspect that I had ever had a girlfriend before.

Well… maybe the original owner of this body really had never dated anyone.

"You're tired? But I feel something hard pressing against my butt," Hephaestus said, licking her lips.
