Chapter 7: Confrontation with Fire Nation (Part 2)
The masked woman removed her face mask to reveal Azula. "It seems you're a firebender."
"That I am." I turned to the gang with sad eyes and said, "Run, I will hold them off."
"Wait, What?" Aang said, "No, I refuse."
"Aang, shut it. Your the fucking avatar, you need to master all four elements and defeat the fire lord not die here. Go and run with air bision and momo, go to the water nation I will meet you there"
"Stop acting like we are going to los-" Sokka began, but I cut him off.
"We are going to lose if we fight. That Iroh, the dragon of the west, the one who broke through Ba Sing Se, and the fire lord's older brother. Then we have the blue-flamed princess Azula herself, She is probably in the top 10 in fire bending skills in all of Fire Nation. We are going to lose, don't worry, I am going to live. I promise, now go," I said, and it took a little convincing, but I was able to get them on the Air Bison as they were to depart.
"That's touching, but I can't let the avatar leave," Azula said as she shot a fireball at the air bision. I blocked it with a punch that sent Rainbow Fire that not only consumed her but also moved forward. Creating enough time to let the team leave to the northern water nation. Azula straightened, rolling her shoulders as blue fire licked at her fingertips. "You're a special firebender like me. Interesting. But let's see if you can handle real power."
Iroh sighed. "Perhaps we should—"
Azula didn't wait. A single step forward, and she sent a bolt of blue lightning streaking toward me. Lighting is considered another element unlike fire thus I lack the skill require to redirect lighting or any other element. I combine all fire into a rainbow type fire which is the most powerful fire in the universe right now. I then shoot it like an arrow which came out more like electricity, it seems that the plasma, and nuclear fire in my rainbow fire made it shoot like electricity when compressed.
Zuko's eyes widened. "You can use lightning?!"
I smirked. "What? You thought I'd come unprepared?" Sheesh, I was almost looked very uncool. I mean I could use the same trick and blow away the lighting with rainbow fire but no one like a one trick pony. However, Azula didn't give me time to gloat anymore. She lunged, closing the gap between us with terrifying speed, flames spiraling around her fists. I blocked, parrying her strikes with fire-infused counters, but she was relentless. Faster. Sharper. Her precision was insane.
Aang's group was long gone now, their silhouettes fading in the sky. Good. Now I just had to survive. Azula suddenly feinted, dipping low before slamming a palm into my gut. Blue fire exploded from her hand, sending me skidding back. My ribs burned, my breathing ragged. Iroh watched with narrowed eyes, arms folded. He wasn't interfering—yet. Zuko hesitated, gripping his swords.
Azula smirked. "You're good. But not good enough." She raised both hands. Lightning crackled. Shit. I tried to move myself but I wasn't good enough yet, I got a direct hit on me causing me fall back and slide to stop. Before Azula can glot the victory, I got up much to the surprise of the people their and healed with my rainbow fire right in front of them.
"Did you just heal yourself using fire?" Azula asked, I smiled as I said
"Yes, I did. Why is it so surprising? I guess you throught that Firebending was only suppose to represent Destruction and power right well, it is actually not the original firebending. True firebending, the bending I believe in represent life and creation not just blind destruction but the cycle and the potential to create and destroy." I said as I lit up in rainbow flames which made the appearance of a dragon on top of me. Azula also got ready, meanwhile Iroh who was trying to persuade them not to fight by Zuko was ready.
Zuko was a good character but in the ealy season I wondered why did his father only burn half of his face, let me show you how to burn his entire face. Their was no need for any judge of time, we just lugged at each other. Although my best efforts, I was able shake off zuko and put him on bed rest in the first hour. The fight between me and azula took more than 3 hours to finish, this ended up in my defeat however since I did not have enough experience with using my power. One can have all the power in the universe but still fail to use it when he doesn't train with them. I closed my eyes, thanking that atleast I was able let them escape.
{POV Shift: Aang & The Gang a day later}
The wind rushed past as Appa soared over the ocean. Aang gripped the reins tightly, his usual cheer absent.Katara sat in silence, arms crossed, while Sokka leaned against the saddle, deep in thought.
They had lost him. The fight had been a disaster. One moment, the MC had been holding his ground against the Fire Nation—then, in an instant, he was gone. Taken. And they hadn't been able to do a thing about it. Aang clenched his fists. He should have done something. He was the Avatar! He was supposed to protect his friends.
"We should've stayed and fought," he muttered.
Katara turned to him sharply. "And gotten captured too?"
Sokka let out a sigh. "She's right, Aang. We had no choice."
"That doesn't mean we just leave him behind!" Aang shot back.
Katara's expression softened. "I know. But we're not strong enough to take on Azula right now." The name itself sent a chill down Aang's spine. He had barely caught a glimpse of her before they had been forced to retreat. The precision, the power—she was terrifying.
"So what do we do now?" Sokka asked. "Storm a Fire Nation ship? 'Cause I don't like our odds."
Aang exhaled slowly. He didn't have an answer. Silence stretched between them until Appa let out a loud groan. Below them, a stretch of land came into view.
"Hey… is that an island?" Sokka leaned forward. Aang followed his gaze. It wasn't just an island—it was inhabited.
"Maybe we can rest there," Katara suggested.
Aang hesitated. They didn't have time to rest. Not while their friend was still in danger. But… they needed a plan. They couldn't rush in blindly. He sighed, guiding Appa downward. "Alright. But just for a little while." The island loomed closer, and as they approached, figures began gathering on the shore. Little did they know, stepping onto Kyoshi Island would lead them into even more trouble.
