Bloodbound Secrets

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Test of Strength

After hours of intense training, Roy began to feel changes taking place in his body. It wasn't just an improvement in his physical fitness, there was something else… something that couldn't be easily described. His strength had become unnatural, his speed had increased, and even his reflexes were faster than a thirteen-year-old could achieve. This wasn't entirely surprising, his father had been a super fighter, and his mother was no less mysterious than him.

As he sat at night contemplating what he had become, he suddenly felt a powerful aura creeping through the air. He quickly stood up and turned towards the source of the energy. There was a man standing a few meters away from him, with white hair and glowing red eyes.

"This… can't be…" Roy muttered to himself, as the man stared at him.

The man took a step forward, and in a calm but heavy voice he said, "You… you carry an aura similar to that of someone I know well… are you John?"

Roy was confused for a few seconds, then shook his head and said, "No… John is my father."

The man was silent for a moment before he smiled coldly, "So... you're his son? Interesting. I want to see if you're worthy of carrying his blood."

Before Roy could respond, the man disappeared from his spot and appeared behind him in an instant. He couldn't even see his movement! This wasn't just super speed, it was something else... something like controlling spacetime itself.

"Test your strength against me," the man said, taking two steps back in preparation for the fight.

Without hesitation, Roy lunged forward, trying to land a blow, but just as he was about to touch him, the man disappeared again, appearing a few meters away from him.

"Too slow," he said in a mocking voice.

Roy felt frustrated but didn't give up. He gathered his strength and began to use the speed he had gained from his training. The fight began to intensify, as Roy was landing his blows with increasing force, but his opponent was dodging them with complete ease.

As time passed, Roy realized a shocking truth: strength alone is not enough.

The man seemed to notice this in Roy's eyes, lowering his hands and saying, "You have potential, but you are still far from being truly strong. You still have a long way to go."

He took a step forward and placed his hand on Roy's head for a moment, then walked away as he said, "When you are ready, maybe I will find what I am looking for in you."

Before disappearing into the darkness, he turned one last time and said in a calm but meaningful voice, "My name is Sebastian. Remember him well."

Roy collapsed to his knees, panting with exhaustion. He had never faced an opponent with such strength before. How weak he was... He felt the bitterness of defeat for the first time.

But... this would not be the end.

Somewhere far away, a huge hall was drowned in heavy shadows. In the middle of the hall, a man sat on a magnificent throne, his hair was dark and long, his hand on his cheek with a deep look.

In a low voice, but with a dread that made the air in the hall heavy, he muttered:

"It's time."
