A Marvel System

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: A New Dawn

---

The darkness was suffocating. An endless void surrounded Drew, stretching infinitely in every direction. He could feel nothing—no body, no senses—just his mind, floating in an abyss.

*"Is this death?"* he wondered. He had no recollection of how he had died. One moment, he was living his normal life, and the next, he was here.

Then, a voice echoed through the void.

[**System Activation: Welcome, Drew. Rebirth Process Initiated.**]

A sharp jolt of awareness surged through him, and suddenly, sensations flooded back. The void cracked apart like glass, revealing light. A force pulled him forward, and before he could process what was happening, his consciousness was yanked into a new reality.

---

### **Rebirth in a New World**

Drew gasped as air filled his lungs. He was lying on a cold, metallic surface, the dim glow of a light flickering overhead. His vision was blurry, but as it cleared, he found himself in what looked like a small apartment.

His body felt... different. Stronger, healthier. He rushed to a mirror, almost tripping over his own feet, and stared in shock. Gone was his old, average self. In the reflection stood a young man, perhaps in his early twenties, with short black hair, sharp features, and a lean yet athletic physique.

Then, a blue holographic screen materialized before his eyes.

[**System Initialization Complete**]

[**Welcome to the Marvel Universe, Earth-616**]

[**Status: Reborn**]

His breath caught in his throat. *Marvel? No way...*

Hundreds of thoughts swarmed his mind. If this was the Marvel Universe, that meant superheroes, villains, cosmic entities—everything from comics, movies, and shows was real. And if he was here before Tony Stark's kidnapping, that meant the entire timeline hadn't truly begun yet.

The screen flashed again.

[**System Features Unlocked:**]

- **Missions:** Complete tasks to earn rewards.

- **Shop:** Exchange points for items, skills, or enhancements.

- **Stats:** View and upgrade your abilities.

- **Inventory:** Store and retrieve items.

- **Skills:** Learn and improve various powers.

His heart pounded. He had a system—just like in those fanfics and web novels he used to read.

*"Okay... okay... think."* He needed information.

"System, show me my stats."

The screen changed.

[**Status:**]

- **Name:** Drew

- **Level:** 1

- **Strength:** 8

- **Agility:** 10

- **Endurance:** 9

- **Intelligence:** 12

- **Skills:** None

- **Points:** 100

*Not bad... but not superhero-level either.*

Then, another notification popped up.

[**First Mission: Adapt to Your New Life**]

- **Objective:** Learn about your current location and establish a plan for survival.

- **Reward:** 500 Points

Drew exhaled. *Time to get to work.*

---

### **A World of Heroes and Villains**

Drew stepped outside into the bustling streets of New York City. The air was thick with energy—cars honking, people rushing past, street vendors shouting their deals. Billboards and newsstands confirmed what he already suspected:

**This was the Marvel Universe.**

He spotted a newspaper headline: **"Stark Industries Expands Weapons Research – Tony Stark to Demonstrate New Tech Soon!"**

*"So, it's true. The timeline hasn't started yet."* That meant he had some time to prepare before the world turned chaotic.

He needed resources. Money, connections, a place to stay, and most importantly—power.

The System's **Shop** feature could help with that. Opening it, he browsed through various options. Some items were simple, like basic combat training manuals, while others were downright overpowered, like Mutant Genes or Super Soldier Serum. Unfortunately, those cost thousands of points, far beyond his current 100.

*"Guess I'll have to grind missions."*

A notification appeared.

[**New Mission: Earn Your First $1000**]

- **Objective:** Find a way to make money in this world.

- **Reward:** 200 Points

*"Alright, System, challenge accepted."*

---

### **An Unexpected Encounter**

Drew wandered through the city, brainstorming ways to make quick cash. Street performances? Too risky. Gambling? Not reliable. Hacking? He lacked the skills for that.

As he walked past an alley, a sudden scream made him freeze.

"Help! Somebody help!"

Instinct kicked in. He sprinted toward the source and found a woman being mugged by three men. One held a knife, while the other two blocked her escape.

*"Crap."* Drew had never been in a real fight before. But then, another notification popped up.

[**New Mission: Stop the Mugging**]

- **Objective:** Defeat the criminals and protect the civilian.

- **Reward:** 300 Points + Random Skill

His heart pounded, but he clenched his fists.

*"Alright, here goes nothing."*

"Hey!" he shouted. "Why don't you pick on someone who can fight back?"

The thugs turned. One of them sneered. "Look what we got here. A hero wannabe."

The one with the knife lunged first. Drew barely dodged, stumbling backward. He had no formal training, just instinct and adrenaline. But the System's interface suddenly highlighted weak points on his opponent—openings in their stance.

*"So the System can help me fight...!"*

He dodged another swipe and struck the thug's wrist, making him drop the knife. Before the man could react, Drew drove a punch into his gut, sending him sprawling.

The second thug swung at him. Drew barely blocked the attack but retaliated with a swift knee to the stomach, knocking the air out of him.

The last one hesitated. Then, realizing the fight wasn't worth it, he turned and ran.

Drew exhaled. *I actually won.*

The woman looked at him, shaken but grateful. "T-Thank you!"

Another notification appeared.

[**Mission Complete!**]

- **Reward:** 300 Points + **New Skill: Street Combat (Beginner)**

*"Nice! My first skill!"*

"Are you okay?" Drew asked.

She nodded. "Yeah. Thanks to you. How can I repay you?"

An idea struck him. "Actually, do you know any good ways to make money fast?"

She blinked. "I work at a local gym that hosts underground fight matches. If you're interested, I could introduce you to the owner. You've got talent."

Fighting for money? It was risky, but it might be his best option right now.

Drew smiled. "I'm interested."

---

### **A New Path Begins**

That night, Drew stood outside a gym tucked away in the lower end of the city. Through the windows, he saw fighters training, their punches echoing through the building.

*"This is just the beginning."*

With his System, knowledge of the future, and determination, he would carve out his own path in this world.

**Because this was Marvel. And he refused to be just another bystander.**
